Our favorite coffee, take it everywhere we travel even when gone for 6 month. We buy only their regular coffee. It’s always great.

I love this tea shop! They have a large wide variety of my favorite teas from republic tea to harney and sons! Plus a ton of herbal and different types of tea(green, red, black, white). I can never pass up this place in the mall.

The man at the counter reminded me of the comic book guy from the Simpsons. Best. Coffee. Ever. No it wasn’t the best but if you have never heard of that character I dare you to google him, watch a video, then imagine being waited on by that guy. The man at the counter wouldn’t stop talking. It was like he was having a conversation with himself. The coffee was ok. We stopped at 845 at night pretty close to close and it was still fresh. The coffee of the day was a nice german chocolate cake flavor which was great considering every other coffee shop always does the hazelnut/french vanilla flavor of the day.

Espresso preparation at the Beanery seems to follow a «Things Not To Do With Your Espresso» checklist, but that might not bother you if you’re getting the sweeter drinks(which, admittedly, are pretty tasty here). The beans — both for drip coffee and espresso roasts — are ancient, but the former is surprisingly drinkable(moreso than, say, Sheetz). The owner, Paul, is a natural salesman — the guy is super friendly, rattles off tall tales with ease, and does a good job of making you feel important. The staff is usually pretty great too(maybe too talkative, in some cases). Still, it’d be nice to see them use clean frothing pitchers instead of trying to save a penny. It’s a small storefront, but they make good use of space. The store caries some nice(if overpriced) teas too. There are some, at best, OK-tasting whole-bean coffees available, but for the price you’re paying, it’d be better just to get something from an artisan roaster like Intelligentsia. At least it’ll be fresh.

I’m no coffee drinker, but Kay loves the Chai Lattes they sell here. She let me have a taste, and a taste is what I have yet to acquire for that sort of thing. I did walk out with a brownie that cost me a dollar and a half. Cold and hard, I would be embarassed to sell it for 50 cents. At least it isn’t a Starbucks.
