So far my favorite pizza I found in the area. cheesesteak was also really good with a lot of meat. Cheese fries were a huge disappointment. I’ve never experienced a pizza place in my life that melts slices of yellow American cheese over fries. Who does that? its always a cheddar/wiz or mozzarella.

The pizza seems to be alright, but I ordered a cheese steak and was really disappointed. Very little meat for the money, but the bigger problem was that it was overcooked to the point that the mushrooms tasted very charred and I ended up not even finishing it. Things get forgotten on the range from time to time, but considering it takes all of a minute to cook a cheesesteak I’m pretty surprised they served it up instead of tossing it and cooking a new batch.

Decent Pizza. Nothing extraordinary here. Will like to comment on the service and staff though, Very Friendly and Polite. A option to grab a quick bite while you at Home Depot, challenging yourself on to the next task, you’ll probably fail :)

Best pizza, hands down, I have had in a longgggg time. Thick, delicious crust, tangy sauce, with just the right amount of cheese. Took off a start for timing of delivery.

This is a cozy little restaurant tucked away in a strip mall. The food is very good, however, they do not offer a salad with dinner. I have a feeling that it is under new management because they used to serve this delicious bread, it was like pizza dough. Now, you don’t get a salad, and the bread is different. Our server was good, but there was no one else in the restaurant but us. I had the Linguini Di Mare. It was cooked very well, but I was disappointed that I did not get a dinner salad. That is the only reason why I am posting 4 stars.

It is hard to find GREATPIZZA outside of Brooklyn but Café Colore comes darn close. My friends had entrees which were good but lacked luster. and the dining room looks run down. The pork Medallions were real good so was the salmon. I think they might have to large of a menu for a small kitchen, the food took a while to come out and didn’t come out all at once.

The sausage pizza is very good, but the other slices I ordered were just average. I’ve been here about five times. The buffalo chicken pizza wasn’t good at all. I’ve ordered subs here, and they were all good. Some times they don’t have a lot of pizza on the counter to order. Every time I’ve called in an order, it’s not ready when I show up 15 minutes later. When I arrived, they were just putting my order in the oven.

We went here tonight and found out that management changed. The food was ok. I had the chicken parmigian dinner. Salad was extra. This was the first Italian restaurant I have been to where they do not serve bread with dinner. We were the only ones eating there.

Went there for a company party. The pizza was good but the pasta dishes were great. They had a lot of salad varieties and the staff was attentive and polite. I’m definitely going to go back.

Came here for a family meal and it was enjoyable. Pastas, eggplant parm were hot, tasty and pretty good sized portions. Each entrée came with a salad or soup. We all ordered salads. One family member has a carrot allergy and they were happy to accommodate. The food was good but nothing really worth noting. The service was friendly and attentive. Overall, this place is ok.

Terrible… Wife bought two sandwiches… Subway is better. One slice of turkey and one slice of cheese on lousy rolls. Never going back. Jason B.

Pizza sucks. Real bad. Also we ordered stuffed mozzarella bread. But it wasn’t bread. Some kind of doughy crust. Real bad also. Sucks that I live across the road w. a horrible delivery option.

Having trouble trying to review this one! Tough between a 2 and 3 star! The food was pretty good. We got a pan of penne with vodka sauce and shrimp, spaghetti and meatballs, and their salmon dish. The penne was good, shrimp wasn’t over done tasted good. Kids enjoyed the spaghetti, I did have a few bites and it tasted like spaghetti nothing amazing! Their garlic knots are nothing to write home about either. Now the restaurant itself wasn’t top notch either. The bathroom was no-bene! Carpet looked old and out-dated also. I was really hoping to love this place as the restaurant that used to be there was AMAZING!!! but they have since moved.

My co-worker at the time told me he worked at this restaurant on the weekends and gave me a free $ 15 dollar gift card to use there. Knowing me, I can’t say no to free stuff. Appearance-wise, it’s a nice, quaint little Italian restaurant. A good spot to take someone out on a first date. Romantic low lighting, a very Italian vibe. But like I said, appearance-wise. Food-wise, it’s actually just okay. For an appetizer, I got the calamari. It’s the typical run-of-the-mill calamari. Simply fried squid with a lemon on the side, nothing out of the ordinary. For the entrée, I ordered the Chicken Margherita over penne vodka. To be honest, it was brought out a little on the cold side. Granted, it took a while for my dish to come out but there was only one other couple eating at the restaurant. Which means it’s shouldn’t have taken that long for such an un-busy night. But the waiter was nice, so I’ll let it slide. The chicken was okay. Nothing great. But good enough to satisfy my appetite. Penne vodka was subpar. Can’t overlook once again that it was a little cold. Overall, nothing too crazy about this place. Probably won’t go back only because it’s not a restaurant I would give a second chance to.

SO so disappointed in this place! I’ve been going here for about 7 years on and off and always raved about how delicious everything is! I was addicted to their spaghetti bolognese and pretty much everything else. Well, it’s been a while since I last ate there so hubby and I decided to have a dinner date. I ordered a pasta dish with chicken, arugula and tomatoes in a champagne crème sauce and he ordered the spaghetti bolognese. Both dishes came out quickly, BUT the sauces were so watery. My dish was especially bland(VERY bland). The chicken pieces were clearly frozen-out-of-the-bag pieces as they had those fake grill marks on them. They were very dry and chewy. Since we were in a hurry, I didn’t bother telling the waiter, which I now regret. Hubby said the bolognese was not the same quality he remembers either. Both dishes were«adorned» with generous(not in a good way) sprinkles of paprika and herbs on the side of the dishes. alittle much. We did get a basket of bread that contained warm foccaccia pieces, and those were really good, and the salad that came with the meal was fresh. The server was very friendly and attentive. I later heard from him that the restaurant changed owners and chef not too long ago. This explained everything! Though I do not expect to go there anytime again soon, I truly hope the owners will realize that quality is everything. Until then I will have to find another ‘fave’ italian place!

This review applies to the«pizzeria /to-go» side — not the restaurant, which i have never eaten at. Food is hit or miss — usually not too bad. Pizza is decent enough with fairly thin crust and fairly good cheese.(A pie straight from the oven doesn’t resemble a pool of oil and the cheese don’t slide off a hot slice). Large pie(plain) is $ 12 which isn’t bad but toppings are pricey at $ 2 a topping! Subs are OK — chicken parm is a little thick. Meatball parm is good too. Garlic knots are very good!

Only reviewing the pizza. We come here to pick up pizza every once in a while, really good NJ italian style pizza. Highly recommended. The dine-in part is another story, it’s average and pricey, not trying it out twice. Just go for the take out pizza.

I drive here from Pennsylvania solely for the deliciousness that is the Chicken Monte Carlo! Full of fresh spinach, mushrooms and peppers. I’ve also tried the Chix Marsala over penne(amazing, the penne was not saturated with sauce) and 4 cheese farfalli(a classic for those less adventurous). The portions are generous and the staff is knowledgeable and accommodating of large groups. They also understand the concept of a ‘lunch break’ and their fast service reflects this. This BYO place is overlooked due to its location on Rt 1(strip mall by the Home Depot), but once you get inside, you can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and gaze at the ever-changing art on the walls, all for sale and done by local artists. I’ll definitely be going back… soon!

New Jersey Italian! Reviewing only the take-out sandwiches: Surprisingly good! We were hungry, road-tripping, and escaping the Turnpike via Rt 1. Pulled in here in the snow following the garish«PIZZA» sign to the back of the plaza across from the Home Depot. It turned out to be a real restaurant in the back, where folks were eating lunch, but we just got sandwiches to go. I had the special, prosciutto with cheese and roasted red pepper, and my dining partner had something more boring off the normal sub menu. Both were good, though mine was more flavorful. They put the subs in the oven, which I didn’t expect, not being from the area. It was very New Jersey. «You want I should take them out??» «…no, no, I’ll wait, that’s fine.» «Ok, here. :puts sandwich on a paper plate, stuffs it in a thin paper bag: You come back soon!» «Um, ok…» But seriously, the subs were good.

We like to come here often for the daily specials the chef offers. The prices are reasonable, and the food is always fresh. It’s true the location isn’t great, but we enjoy the food enough to keep coming back. We especially enjoy the special soups offered. I recently had a great melon gazpacho that was so light and refreshing. The dishes are a bit on the heavy side, a little more oil than I would like. I usually just bring my leftovers home, and separate the oil the next day. We’ve gotten take out and pizza from the pizzeria section a few times, and are always very happy with our order. The kids menu is a bit limited, but our son has favorites he always gets so it’s not an issue for us.
