We love the Super 8! The owners are always friendly and accommodating and the hotel is clean. We travel to Monmouth most every year and always prefer to stay at the Super 8.

Another review said«seems to be family oriented»… that’s because the family that runs the place lives there… and when you leave the smell of curry will be burned in your nostrils for days. the rooms are ok but breakfast isn’t worth going through the lobby for. it’s hard chocolate donuts and frozen waffles every day. There’s no elevators and I just didn’t like it there. I personally don’t like when I go to a hotel(especially when it’s in the $ 90/night range) and when I ring the bell the manager gets out of bed in their pajamas to check me in at 10am… spend the extra $ 10 and go next door.

Seemed to be family operated… by a very nice family. The room was VERY nice!!! Very clean, and had everything you needed. The manager, or owner– seen I had trouble walking —-so he asked if we wanted a first floor– instead of the 2nd… but we said ‘no, that’s ok’. Our grand-daughter got us the room a few days earlier… we were there for a big Western University graduation. Very nice people running the motel… would definitely recommend this Super 8 motel!!!

What a pleasant surprise… a reasonable hotel that was clean and well maintained out in the middle of no where. The pool, rooms, and common areas showed pride in ownership. However, save breakfast for on the road. Continental is really the bare minimum. Good management as the manager was cordial and professional.

On our annual Monmouth getaway this year, we were pained to learn that the Super 8 Motel was completely BOOKED Friday Night. Apparently, hunting season was in full swing and Monmouth’s one lodging facility was packed to the max with orange vests. What a wicked bummah. Luckily, we got to squeeze in Saturday night after a very unsanitary Friday night experience. All I can say is they could have used some of our 50 bucks to at least buy a few boxes of Magic Erasures. Tobacco spit stains are NOT the next thing in interior design. Although I did NOT enjoy the two dead deer in the parking lot, I must say the Super 8 is your best sleepover option in the greater Monmouth/Galesberg proper.
