Carpenter & Smith

60 years ago my great-​grandfather built our house in Greenwood Lake. Carpenter and Smith was the company that installed the original heating system. Our family has been their customers ever since, and for good reason! Always professional, their service people really know what they’re doing and I have never had a problem as long as they’re on the job. I can’t compare them to another company because I would never use another company!
I recently utilized the chimney cleaning service that is used by Carpenter and Smith, A1 Affordable. They unfortunately discovered I had some major problems in my chimney; showed me pictures, thoroughly explained the concerns and quoted me what I felt was, A reasonable price to fix the problems. The very same day, they put the metal sleeve through the chimney and boy do they know what they’re doing! The three gentlemen work together like a symphony! The chimney needed concrete work done on the outside, And again, boy did those gentlemen know what they were doing! The work is beautiful! They worked quickly and efficiently. I am extremely pleased with the outcome; my chimney really needed work and they made it safe in no time flat! Plus there was an excellent guarantee on all the work. I huge thank you to both companies!

This company is extremely professional. If you want great customer service, honesty and trustworthyness — this is the company you should go with for everything. Reliable beyond words. When you have an issue, it just takes a phone call. Although with their work, issues don’t happen very much. You might have heard of other companies, some might be very good in some areas, not so much in other areas. C&S is near perfect. They are a working person’s dream. Their Service Manager is tops in his field. I am writing this after being with them for heating, oil, propane and AC. I tried other companies for different things and always landed with C&S. When things are this good, I write about it. They might not be the cheapest company, in some areas — but, what is worth more, babysitting a company, your time, stress or leaving it all to honest professionals? Trust and honesty is the key with this company. I am totally serious, I am not related, lol.
