This place is supposed to be known for their cinnamon rolls??? I don’t know why… yesterday I went here and bought a ½ dozen of these cinnamon rolls for my dad because he loves them… I don’t touch them because they have raisins in them, but anyway, when I get them home they are burnt and dry! The icing was all in the bag instead of being in these crappy cinnamon rolls where it should’ve been. I call to talk to the manager… Debra and she couldn’t have cared less about my complaint… or the fact that my money was wasted… I shouldn’t expect customer service from these places. Just beware and check your rolls before you drive all the way home!

This is not southern food. Anyone who says it is probably just doesn’t know any better. The food is junky yet satisfying. The restaurants aren’t super clean, but they are comfortable. The staff is usually nice and they move quickly. usually your feet stick to the floor and well, lets’ just say that some of the patrons pay in change. If you want my advice, eat the chicken fried chicken or chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, fried okra and plenty of rolls and white gravy. You can dip the rolls in the white gravy and have the most satisfying non nutritional experience of your chicken related food life. Stab the crispy okra with your fork and dip it in the potatoes and gravy mmmmmm. Yes, it is a heart attack waiting to happen, but at least you will be in food coma bliss when your heart sputters out and you hit the floor or slump over the table in the booth. Just try not to stick to the floor.

Review based on breakfast. Delicious country style breakfast. Biscuits, gravy, grits, sausage, bacon, basically the whole country mile. Will eat breakfast here again, most definitely.

3 words… chicken fried steak!!! I had this for lunch today with mac & cheese, mash potatoes, and 2 dinner rolls. The breading on the steak was just right – the right amount of tastiness and full of flavor… ohhhh and the crunch when you bite into your first piece… you will be in chicken fried steak heaven, surrounded by vats of gravy! For a fast food, southern cooking style kind of place, I am thoroughly impress with their execution of the country fried steak at a reasonable price! Try it and you will thank me a million times over and over(provided that you are a fan of gravy and chicken fried steak). Next on the agenda… is the fried chicken really all that here? Stay tuned for an update!

I don’t see what’s so great about this place, because I’ve never had a good meal here. I find the food a bit greasy and way too salty. Last time I ate here I tasted the salt more than the food. I could feel my blood pressure shooting up about 20 points just from eating here. Never again.

If you ever happen to be in Monroe or West Monroe, please be sure to eat at Grandy’s. It doesn’t get any more southern than this. They always have plenty of sweet tea available and there are tons of delicious yeast rolls that will make you slap yo’ mama. They even have a sweet little old lady that comes around dressed up like someone’s grandmother to refill drinks. and this place is kind of like fast food. I personally love their fried chicken with mashed potatoes. California doesn’t know what they’re missing.
