Just happened to see this place as I was passing by on my motorcycle last week so I made a mental note to try it out tonight. Just finished dinner here, and WOW!!! This place is GREAT. I had the Nachos, Guac., a chorizo taco, and my date had Chile Releno with mole sauce. Man, whoever does the cooking here is really killer. The taco was a soft taco. The tortilla was nicely heated on the grill and I could taste what I think was butter. Really gave it a great taste with the taco. Nachos were absolutely superb. Big chunks of tomato, fresh vegs., good portions I was really surprised and pleased. Small place. I bet this place gets packed on the weekend. Oh, the furniture is SOCOOL. They have these beautifully carved, painted tables, booths, and even the hi chairs have this great art work. Really makes the place stand out even more. It’s also a combination grocery store. Even the bathroom is nice and big(unisex), and very clean. Plenty of parking. Doesn’t have a bar like Tulcingo in town nor as big a dining space, but 100 times better in my opinion. No negatives about this place. This location is a gold mine.

Best Mexican restaurant in town. Authentic to the max. Has an awesome corner store/market vibe and the wait staff is always friendly and helpful. The chips, salsa and food is always extraordinarily fresh. With a wide variety of foods this is a place to keep coming back to and exploring new flavors. As I’m writing this review I’m eating a cow intestine tostada!!! Also a nice selection of Mexican beers. I’m so grateful this spot opened up in my town.

Two times in a row I have found hair in my food. And my shrimp burrito had one random shell in it… disgusting. I’ve tried to give this place a few chances and I’m rarely compelled to give bad reviews but im pretty disappointed.

I have been coming here for at least two years, and the food is always good. The staff are friendly and fluent in both English and(obviously) Spanish. Always clean. Portions are huge and the prices are quite reasonable. I have had a variety of different tostadas and each one was better than the next! Same goes for the burritos and cemitas. The Huaraches were just okay, but the complimentary chips and salsa(s) are always tasty, and the tables all have different hot sauces available. I hope to eventually try one of the many dinner offerings. A fair selection of Mexican beer is also available. There is also a small Mexican grocery section in the back. Recommended, if you’re in the area.

This is my favorite restaurant in all of Monroe. I eat here at least twice a month. The chorizo tacos are to die for, the guacamole is always fresh, and I have even ventured to try the seafood soup — delicious. Either eating or takeout you can’t beat it. Just tasty authentic mexican food in a nice and clean atmosphere.

I’ve eaten here a few times, and the food is pretty good and super affordable. I wanted to check this place out around the time they first opened and tried one of their tortas. They cook the contents together on the grill and serve you this humongous sandwich for something like $ 7. It’s really flavorful and definitely fills you up. The other times I went I stuck with the tortas but tried different ones, and they were all tasty. However, this was a few years ago, so I can’t speak to the current quality of their food. I would say it’s still worth checking out though.

We ordered takeout from this place a few weeks ago and my husband got the worst case of food poisoning I’ve ever seen. He had the steak burrito, which you would normally think should be fine. My food was ok. I ordered the chicken. I didn’t get really sick though.

The Best Mexican Food in Orange County New York 1) the tacos are simple, tasty, and awesome with lots of variety 2) the burritos are to die for!!! From the marinated steak, to the chorizo or the chicken you can’t miss, they are simply perfect, so are the sauces! 3) everything is authenticity Mexican and Americanized dishes are minimal. 4)THEYHAVEHORCHATA!!! 5) from queso fresco, to ancho chilis, to herbs and spices, their store in the back has a little of everything you need to create Mexican goodies at home 6) family run with great service and great people I love this place, it’s an oasis in a sea of pretenders. You will not be disappointed.

Please close your Garnerville store. It was horrible, grey beans, pebbles of chicken meat with no fresh ingredients in my burrito. The tortilla was spongy, as if it was sitting on a hot buffet tray all day. I was served in under 2 minutes from placing my order. There is so much good/great mexican in rockland this place won’t compete. Unless you’re using it as a front to launder money, it’s never going to last. The place was clean and the staff was nice, but that can’t get you very far without a product.

Yum, yum, yummy, YUM! We went for the first time over the weekend and their burritos are, not only HUGE, but SO good. I can’t wait to try their posole. The place was cute and clean, too. They had a ton of great grocery items in the back, too. I plan on going back to buy their corn husks to make tamales! The person taking our order, I’m assuming the owner, was very nice too!

–1 star for the rice being rather dry. Aside from that my family really enjoyed the food we had at La Rancherita. Their menu is VERY extensive and I have had a couple of items and have not been disappointed. They also have a mini-market that appears to have some surprisingly fresh produce(the cilantro I got was quite good), but I do stress the word«mini» since the list of items is not large. I’ll be back, but maybe just for take-out or a quick stop for some Mexican grocery items.
