Louisiana Delta Community College

When you take online courses at least one out of every three professors will NOT email you back either at all or for weeks at a time (my experience EVERY semester). You WILL be 110% UNassisted in your course. They don’t care.
As a brand new incoming freshman do you think they had any sort of tour or orientation? NOT at all. They literally throw you to the wolves.
Advisors? I was never asked about my home life or schedule. Whether I worked or had any children. They didn’t try to accommodate me whatsoever. They followed a scripted page on «the fastest way to get your core courses out of the way». My winter semester (during Christmas) was a nightmare from HELL ESP as a brand new student and my spring semester wasn’t much better choices. Horrendous.
Financial aid? You can forget it! Greater Lakes cited they released my funds to the school back on 2÷13÷15 and it’s currently 3÷3÷15 with my account STILL reflecting zero smh Financial aid is a joke. Two officers for a school this size, but you have 6 at an itty bitty «institution» like CTC. They don’t care if you wait or talk to them or not. They don’t care if you drive up there. They hardly answer the phone and they’re never knowledgeable of anything. Monkeys could run this so called college! J-​O-​K-​E!!!
The bookstore is very unorganized. Every time I’m in there for literally just a couple of books, it’s never less than half an hour due to a lack of structure and constant chaos. I was even given the wrong book for a course in my first semester despite giving them my course name and professor.
This institution disguised and calling themselves a college is really just a circus. If you have any brains about yourself don’t attend and certainly don’t allow your friends to either! EVERY interaction has either been a waste of time or 100% UNhelpful. It’s CLEAR the employees hate their jobs and could care less about you. I would recommend an ONLINE institution 110% over Louisiana Delta ANY DAY!
