An okay coney Island we have here in Monroe. They have messed up my carry out orders several times. It doesn’t compare to Lafayette, American, National and Leo’s. Just my opinion.

My least favorite of the 3 Monroe area Coney Islands. Service is usually pretty good & restaurant is clean & well kept. However the food quality is very poor & mediocre @ best.

Never been to this Coney Island, so I wanted to give it a try. My basis for comparison is Lafayette Coney and National Coney. On my first trip to any new Coney, I always try out a dog and some chili cheese fries for my basis. The chili and the hot dogs they use here are very close, if not identical, to National… very tasty. The major difference here is with the French fries. They use a different type of fry than most other Coney Islands. They are a bit crispier and add a little more crunch. My biggest complaint is with the cheese… they used shredded cheddar instead of the gooey goodness that you would get at National. Shredded cheddar wouldn’t be bad, but you have to put enough on for it to be tasted… they kind of skimped. Décor isn’t that fantastic, kind of plain and the booths are all ripped up. However, the staff is friendly and attentive. Overall, things were pretty good. I would give this Coney 3.5 weiners out of 5… I’d come back!

Tucked up in the back corner of a strip mall, Midtown Coney Island is a real gem. Whether its breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you can’t go wrong. Real rye toast, not brown-tinted sandwich bread. Superb service is friendly and professional. The dining area is clean, bright, and roomy. The prices are very competitive, and the food is delicious, even though the cooks might have been instructed to cook the burgers to well done regardless how you order.
