Tried the one in Monroe since we had a horrible experience in palisades and had the same experience. Our waiter forgot to give straws I had to ask another waiter. Then I had to ask for bread ten minutes later that arrived and was cold and hard. Once our appetizer came out our waiter never checked on us I had to flag him down for sauce then when my meal came it had ketchup when i requested honey mustard again having to flag him down. He never checked on the table and the service again was not there. Seemed like he didn’t want to be here even heard him complain to other guests that when it gets busy it’s a sauna in here so I guess this is the last of outback we tried but it didn’t meet our standards. I don’t pay to go out and request everything … I pay to get what I’m paying for … After speaking with Jennifer only in regards to my coupon she changed my entire experience I had posted two stars but after her service I will be back she saved the post!

Experience was no weight on a Tuesday night. Tina was a waitress and made the experience great. The food was a typical chain type presentation and meal. I have to say the beer was cold and good so try it

I dont know why in the world someone would give this establishment 2 stars. My visit here was everything and more! After a few hours of shopping in woodbury we were starving ive never been to outback so this was my first time. When we walked in we were the only black people so i thought they were going to be rude and and racist but they were soooo nice! We were seated immediately. The waitress was phenomenal. We both ordered filet mignon with lobster id suggest getting the lobster grilled for flavor purposes. We had 4 drinks. They werent strong But they were good. Our bill was $ 108.
I’ve been eating at this Outback for several years now. The Owner and all the staff make you feel welcomed and are really attentive. I don’t hesitate to have a meal there by myself as I feel really comfortable and at home there. The food is exceptional and you can tell it’s freshly cooked. You have choices to eat really healthy, like Perfectly Grilled Salmon which is really tasty or you can splurge on the calories with something like their new Marsala Roasted Sirloin. They are also happy to accommodate special requests. Their buffalo wings are out of this world. I have actually ordered to bring to Superbowl parties and other events and they are always a big hit! I can’t say enough good things about Outback and this location in particular. I’ve eaten at other locations and none of them compare in quality of food and service to Monroe, NY.

The Appetizers were fine, our server was wonderful, then we ordered the chicken Marsala. The chicken Marsala didn’t look anything like picture in the menu, that was fine sometimes it happens, but we didn’t want it, because It looked like hospital food. It was one microwaved chicken breasts, on a small plate no mushrooms and the sauce was on the side, and it came with over cooked vegetables. I asked the server to send it back and I thought that would be the end of it and we would leave and come back another time. It was not a big deal. But after what happened next I don’t think I will ever come back. The owner came back with it trying to persuade me to take it. «I didn’t want it I said» I told him a second time, then a third time the jerk comes back with the same thing I turned away again! Trying to disguise this unappetizing looking piece of chicken that I turned away twice, like am I am idiot and I going believe it is something different after pouring some sauce on it and putting a few mushrooms on it. First of all I don’t understand why the owner of a chain restaurant franchise is cooking in his own kitchen? He’s not Wolfgang Puck or Gordon Ramsey. He’s just a pathetic overbearing fool who annoys good paying customers. He’s one person who should step back and let his competent staff serve his customers and he should just stay away. It’s a shame since I go there fairly regularly because my mother lives near by and I like to take to dinner there. I guess we will using Chillies and TGI Fridays up there from now. I had one other unpleasant experience with him two years earlier too, but has no bearing on this review.

I love this place when the wife is not in the mood to cook, so this is one of our go to spots.

This is the worst place i have ever been to have a meal! The service is terrible. I ordered a steak and lobster meal, the steak was overcooked the lobster tail was dry and the manager never came to the table to apologize or to ask if we wanted anything else. We went here to eat after an entire day of shopping at the Woodbury Commons Mall. This was the worst mistake ever we should have gone to any of the other restaurants in the area. I will never eat at any other OUTBACK.

We have eaten here several times and just never seem to learn… Service is always just ok, food is mediocre at best, just always disappointing, but it’s so conveniently located we hope to find something has changed every time we come.

I came here with family when we were leaving from Woodbury Outlets and we wanted something to eat that was close by. We decided on Outback and it was alright. I went there in a huge group and for the size of the group, the service was very good. The waiter was very attentive and was very helpful in getting everything we needed. The food was alright overall. We started with some volcano shrimp, coconut shrimp, and the blooming onion. My uncle joked that the volcano shrimp had the flavor of the little zesty onion sauces from burger king. The coconut shrimp was alright. However, that blooming onion. One bite and I just couldn’t eat any more. It tasted like it was drowned in oil. For our entrees, we had a lot of food. I had a wood-fired ribeye, medium rare, with a side of mushrooms and garlic mashed potatoes. The mushrooms were sauteed in butter and was quite tasty. The steak was also cooked to the right temperature too, but lacked the wood fired flavor I was looking for. The garlic mash was good though. Very delicious(or maybe that’s just because I have a soft spot for garlic mash). My girlfriend got the salmon with the mango salsa. The mango was quite odd and I wasn’t a fan of the salmon. Sweet potato was supposedly very good though. Four of the 7 people at the table had it and thought it was delicious. It came with a cinnamon sugary butter. The lamb was quite good and the sauce that came with it was very flavorful. The entire family ordered a bunch of food, but overall, it was meh. The service though, really made this location stand apart from the others.

Outback steakhouse!!! Although I’m not a beef eater this place definitely is a must go place. Great drinks. good food. they have a variety of steak cuts that I’m sure would please someone. TIP: Mon-Thurs 3−7pm $ 4 drinks certain ones on the drinks menu and Fri-Sun 3−6pm. that’s more than half off!!~ Crab cakes are new and really good! Unlike regular crab cakes, it’s actually a bit fishy.:p

The food is ok. Nothing spectacular. Their warm bread is good. The staff is somewhat slow and you better know what you want when they come around or you may wind up waiting.

Favorite chain restaurant in the area to go to. I always order the Alice Springs Chicken. Blooming Onion is a tasty appetizer. The staff is very friendly.

Went to woodbury commons to do some shopping it was getting late kids are getting hungry figured we go to outback At first everything seems good waiter was friendly we ordered Then I noticed other people that sat after us we’re getting serve their food and we still didn’t even get our soup The waiter just kept bringing us bread all do you want another bread do you want to know the bread I had two cranky kids that wanted their food An 1 hour later our our food comes out. It was not cook the way we ordered it. Your would think after over an hour they would have our food cooked correctly. Nope. The wife’s steak was over cook my prime rib was almost raw and the kids burgers where dry and had no taste. And when I asked her what took so long he just looked at me and said nothing no response put my food down said to watch the plate is hot and left Corporate should come in and fire everyone and try to start fresh

Had a great steak here a week ago. My mom and son both enjoyed their food as well. My only complaint was how cold it was. I brought a sweater so I wasn’t miserable but had I not I might have had to leave. The ac was on full blast to make up for the hot weather outside.

Wow… it’s unbelievable how terrible it was here tonight. We should have known better when we saw some bags of garbage on the bench in front. My beverage glass had several spots of some sort of dirt/crud on the outside. The waitress was apologetic and brought a replacement. Our Bloomin’ Onion was obviously way over cooked, tasted horribly oily, and wasn’t seasoned. At this point we called over the manager and explained our concerns. He was appropriately apologetic, but it turns out he prepared the onion! We realized it was not going to be the pleasant and relaxing evening we envisioned, and we left. At least they didn’t charge us for the beverages. Don’t know when, if ever, we’ll go back here.

Horrible Service. It’s a Monday night and the place on has a few people inside and the service still sucks. I don’t even know how this place is still open. I think someone at corporate outback needs to come fix this place. I will never return to this location.

Slow service, dry steak, not prepared according to what i requested — this was a disappointing trip to Outback. The only positives I can mention are the carrot cake — delicious, and the price point — very competitive for a chain steak house. Still, you’re better off spending slightly more for well seasoned, better prepared, and tastier steaks elsewhere.

I LOVE Outback… so when I was passing by on 87 I swung in to grab some To-Go to eat on the road. I walked into the take out counter and waited patiently. No-one. Several servers walked by and paid no attention. Finally I walked to the bar. He said he’d get someone, and did. But when the server walked into the little area, the phone was ringing. He asked me to wait, then proceeded to take an order from the person on the phone. THEN he typed it in and entered it. Excuse me??? Then he took my order. I thought about saying something to him, but figured I’d let my thumbs do the talking. Now I’m waiting at the bar. I guess my food will come out after that other guy’s does… Hopefully it tastes good.

I like that chain of the restaurants but Monroe location is not my favor. My steak — by the way there’s signature dish –was little bit to dry and burn. Fried calamari was too dry to crispy. Clam chowder soup was just okay. I was very disappointed when they brought hot tea. !!! They don’t know how to prepare hot tea. The water was never boiled, just little bit worm. I asked my waitress for hot water –again I got worm… I gave up. Oh …by the way there was not sugar with my hot tea. I gave them two stars because cheese cake… was actually okay. I have to be desperate to go there again.
