Came in with my sister and her children. The store was staffed by what seemed to be only 1 more mature(older) person; and she was busy with no smile. I asked for help and felt like I was bothering her. Otherwise the store was fairly neat for a Payless with a common range of selections. I will try not to come back here but if I am in a pinch I will be back. Update 6-13-2015 The District Manager never contacted me.

Sure the place is nice enough, but at what cost? Having an employee with bad service is like handing someone Jimmy Choos in a used lunch bag… Even though the store up the road doesn’t carry my size, I’ll be shopping there for my family and not here. Why? Because when asked for my number at checkout I said no(in the tone of «no. Why would you want it») the brunette said«ok»(in the tone of why not?) and proceeded to slam the shoes into the box, slam the box into the bag on the counter and then slam the bag on the counter… I should have at that point said nevermind and walked out. I’m still debating returning the shoes. Bad customer service is a no-no. And even though Famous Footwear(around the corner by Target and Best Buy) doesn’t carry my size, I’d still rather shop their for my families shoes because the MOD or owner was very kind when I walked in. I was greeted and asked if I needed help, unlike at Payless where I had to search for the associate and had to reach the top shelf myself. And she was polite to let me know they don’t carry my size. So Payless, I tried you and I won’t ever come back to this location. First impressions are about Impressing.
