This place is one I recommend. I placed an order over the phone and picked it up 20 minutes later. Their customer service was pleasant both over the phone and in person. Very friendly and welcoming. Their pepperoni pizza was good not exceptional but I would order again. I will say their garlic knots are HUGE (the size of my fist not exaggerating). Their wings how ever were amazing. When you open the container the smell hits you and makes your mouth water. Also unlike other places the wings aren’t comprised of mostly bone and aren’t dry. Overall this is a place worth trying.

Favorite place to get a slice of pizza in the area. The crust is crispy just the way I like it. The entrees are also pretty good. They come with a salad. The calzones aren’t the greatest though.

Been coming here for years. Pizza is great, especially the crust! I love their veal parm, meatballs, calamari, chicken bacon ranch wrap, but the pizza is my favorite. Have never had anything here I did not like. Very friendly service, both table and take out. Prices are reasonable.

Their pizza is decent, but their food is amazing! Their portions are huge and good prices.

I recently was in a hurry and went in for a slice. The counterman said a Sicilian pie was coming out in 2 minutes. When it came out, they still had to put the cheese on. When I asked him why he lied to me about the pie being ready in 2 minutes, the man making the pies said «2 minutes or a half hour –what’s the difference?»
This is definitely the place to go to if you want to be treated like crap!

I’ve been going to Planet Pizza since they opened (I think more than 15 years, at least). I love everything on their menu and have never been disappointed. I moved to NC 4 yrs ago & recently visited. The food is still delicious & my family has never tasted better pizza. Love this place! 5 stars!

The best pizzeria in Orange County. They also make the best Mussels Fra Diablo I’ve every had. Love this place

Everything is always really good but I ordered spaghetti with marinara sauce and it tasted so bad that I will never order pasta from there again. It tasted like it had cinnamon or something in the sauce. It was the worst.

Okay, Okay the pizza is good compared to the other pizza places (Amalfi, Marios, Gino’s. So we decided to explore the menu. I ordered the chicken parm, and it came with a side pasta. I wanted penne so the rude girl on the phone asked her boss 5 dollars extra for the penne. Really? So we get it anyway. After telling the rude young lady where we live, the driver calls and says he’s going to be late because there’s another Rd matching ours. The food arrives, the pasta was over done as was the chicken parm. Soooo I’ll stick with the pizza.

Nice place to meet friends for lunch. Food is ok.
They have lots of choices, but I like to see the pizza before I order a slice, and they always keep the plain pie under the counter where I can’t see it. Wish they would display it like the others.

Below average pizza. To be fair, all pizza in Monroe is below average. Entrees are not much better, if at all.

Unfortunately I disagree with the other reviews. First course, fried calamari, tough — very hard to chew, disappointed. Second, veal parmigiana. Entrée was warm, not hot. Also veal parm seemed to be made using prefried cutlet, cold tomato sauce, and cheese put under the broiler to heat up. It was just not freshly made and it was very apparent. Spaghetti overcooked — sauce not anything special.
Too many restaurants serving average food, disappointing visit. I will go someplace else…

Outstanding! The service is always very friendly. They rotate through an extensive list of specials, and if you get to know a favorite, they will usually cook it up for you if they have the ingredients. Everything is always flavorful. We are big fans of the penne a la vodka, the chicken felicia, the italian combo, the chicken parm. So far everything has been good, although I prefer a crispier pie. Not a problem, though there is always something good on the specials board or menu. The best part is the ridiculously big portions. I mean the meals are really bordering on two to three times the portions you would normally get at an italian restaurant for very reasonable prices. And specials usually come with a salad to boot, and fresh baked bread for the table. This is definitely our go to restaurant in Orange County.

For a guy who prefers NYC for good food, I know that in Monroe I will get good food at Pizza Planet. They always have a few pies ready for take out (or in) by the slice. I love the tomato basil slice. I actually dislike cherry tomatoes, but when they are sliced in half and meticulously garnished with garlic/​cheese/​secret ingredients?, all of a sudden it’s a delicacy slice. I also love their buffalo chicken slice. Once again, I’m not a fan of buffalo wings, but this slice comes with generous chunks of buffalo chicken and the right smattering of blue cheese dressing which I spread all over the slice. They also have a salad pie which also took me pleasantly by surprise. Delicious too. When it comes to pizza in Monroe, this is where I go and the place I would recommend to anyone.
Came here to do some work today because they have free optimum wi-​fi (a rarity in Monroe). I ordered the lunch portion of baked ziti for $ 6.95 and it was perfect. Al Dente, perfect amount of sauce to the fresh mozzarella. Simply put, they do food right here. The waitress who serves me gives me like 8 free refills on my diet coke and always tells me not to rush. THANK YOU! That’s good service.
Also, they recently updated their dining room, and has is a very nice atmosphere to dine in. I would be proud to take a date here. The two guys who own and run the place are very friendly and they clearly care about the customer. They obviously take pride in what they do and it shows in their food, the new décor, and the customer service. A gem in Monroe.

As a long time resident of both Monroe and NYC, I find Planet Pizza to be a relatively accurate representation of New York style pizza. The pies here are better than ones from other suburban pizza joints but on absolute terms, they’re nothing too special.
However, I really enjoyed the special «Salad Pizza.» With just a light dusting of Parmesan, the combination of fresh tomato, tomato sauce, lettuce and roasted red pepper on plain crust is a refreshing alternative to heavy meats and cheeses.
Yuhe’s Suggestions:
— Skip the wings. They’re not spicy enough and can be quite tough.
— I also like the white pie with bacon and fresh tomato — tastes like a BLT!

My favorite pizza place of all time. Chicken Parm hero is on point, wings are nicely garnished and crispy, and the pizza is to die for! Prices are decent so you can’t beat them! Try avoiding teen night next door unless you like listening to house music while grabbing a bite.

If your hungry this is your place. Everything comes in HUGE portions and is delicious! They have ample seating for large groups. I was going to give them 4 stars, then I found out they participate in the Orange County Veterans Discount Program.
