We’ve been here 3 times since we discovered it a week ago! AWESOME coffee! Breakfast is great, and they have a variety of wraps, grilled cheeses, burgers and sandwiches. Their fries are hand-cut and delicious. All of the servers are great, very friendly and upbeat, but Maggie is our favorite!

Delicious breakfast! Friendly accomodating staff. Good menu(lots of stuff) and special requests, no problem. Waitress Jen was very solicitous. Will definitely return!

Nice menu items. Wraps, burgers, gyros, etc. Everything is fresh made. Friendly staff. A nice local place for breakfast or lunch.

Never a disappointing experience coming here. The staff is so friendly. The food is very good and the menu variety is wide which I really like. My favorite dish has to be the chicken gyro the portion is perfect for the price.

Everything I’ve had here is way overpriced and way too salty… and I’m a salt addict.

A great place to sit and eat. The food is excellent and priced reasonably. Their breakfast menu is delicious and their lunches and dinners are great too. The staff working there are incrdibly polite and easy to talk to. If your looking for a good café/restaurant in the Monroe area that wont empty your pocket, this is the place to go.

Like some others I wanted to like this place but can’t get over the disregard for quality. Buffalo Chicken tenders were beyond terrible. Definitely frozen but tasted old, freezer burned and really dry. To be fair the Onion rings weren’t bad and I didn’t try the coffee but I’m not going back, sorry guys.

I absolutely love this place. Everything on the menu is affordable and the hash browns are worthy of their own plate. The coffee is good, but for a place named after coffee beans, it could be better. The atmosphere is super casual and relaxed, which I like, but could use a little more space for the amount of tables set up. My favorite part? My keychain flashlight that was given to me along with a complimentary coupon for either 10 or 20% off(I can’t remember!). Either way, the staff is just as great as the food, but the younger waitresses could be a little more attentive and responsive.

I really want to support a local business, but they could do better. The décor is fun… the owners are obviously Yankees fans. The coffee is good, the food is good but not great. I’ve tried the eggs and the pancakes, which are ok, but the hash browns are the little patties like you get from McDonalds. Clearly they are not freshly prepared, they’re greasy and not too tasty. Big mistake. Omelets need to be light and fluffy, not flat and tough. C’mon! It’s not hard-it’s breakfast! It’s a small place with nice and friendly service. Just wish they would take the quality up a notch. I wish this place would advertise in some local paper so you’d even remember they’re there.

I debated whether to write this review because I want local restaurants to succeed. However, the meal was so bad I needed to add it. I ordered a Cuban panini. The sandwich came one an Italian stale role that seemed to be heated on a flat top, no grill(panini) marks on the sandwich. The actual taste of the sandwich was dry and flavorless. It consisted of four pieces of deli ham, five pieces of dry pork, two pieces of thin Swiss and a few pickles(I should have taken a picture, but felt bad). I felt like I was eating dry bread that happened up be heated up. If I’m paying $ 9.00 for a sandwich please put the appropriate amount of meat/cheese. This is not panera(which is cheap with meat and not very good either) no fancy bread. Next time I will go to Fusion for a sandwich and pay less for a better quality sandwich, which will also comes with fries too. People were in the café eating and seemed pleased so maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. However, the presentation of a basic sandwich(Cuban) tells me the rest of the food is not worth a try. On a positive note, I was with my son, who got pancakes. He seemed happy, but it’s hard to screw up pancakes, but maybe they make a good breakfast.

The food is actually quite good. What is lacks in warmth and charm(sorely in need of an interior decorator) this place makes up for in customer service, friendly people and good food at reasonable rates. Their soups are excellent but tend to be the same all the time. That’s okay, they’re good. If you order off the menu you can expect a long wait — this isn’t the place for you if you’re into fast food. It would be nice if they invested in a new hardwood floor instead of the ugly beat up old linoleum(ugh!) and in winter they should put an entrance door on the outside to buffer against the cold. That and some country-style booths on both sides, some nice lighting and get rid of that idiotic television(do we really need to watch the news 24 hours a day?) and this place will be around for a long time. In fact, they won’t last if they don’t start thinking about ambiance — they have next to no appeal on that score. But they do have good food and if you’re a local and haven’t tried it yet — don’t wait too long because I think they need the business. Sick of the horrible food at Monroe Diner across the pond? Well, good news is SPILLTHEBEANS has the best grub in town and affordable. I highly recommend it. I drop in about once a week.

I go to plenty of places and I wasn’t impressed I didn’t see what the rave was about. Service was ok but the quality and. Creativity wasn’t there.

Now using credit cards! This place has classic food options as well as innovative new takes on simple items. For example, a grilled cheese made on a donut instead of bread, or even a grilled cheese with crushes Doritos on it. All the staff members are courteous and nice, and everything I’ve tried there from salads to soups to sandwiches has been excellent. Hopefully Monroe can keep a quality place like this in business! We need it!

Great village breakfast and lunch spot. Inventive wraps, burgers and salad combinations. We enjoyed a tasty panini and heathy salad. And… some to go home. The portions are quite generous ! Last but not least: brownie and latte. Very good. This place promises to be a great addition to downtown Monroe!

Breakfast served all day! That’s a great intro. You already got me in the door. Saw too many grills turned off at 1100 in my day. While waiting for my gal to finish an appointment in Monroe lately I scouted the area and found this gem. Over 10 specialty coffees and teas as well. 15 or so wraps several omelettes a vast assortment of pancakes breakfast specials awesome French toast, big time variety burger upon burger special. My Waldorf salad. Made two meals and I’m a big eater. Fresh ingredients abound. Was told I’d have to wait a couple of minutes while the chicken was cut. How lovely. Had to have one of the 4 daily soup specials. Their pasta fagioli was wonderful tasted just made. Going out for breakfast is such a delight even if its near closing time whether its 10 pm on Friday and Saturday or 3pm the rest of the week. Cozy with an attentive staff.
