Breakfast all day? OK! I love diners. This place is typical for a diner but very small. Good food. Parking on street.

This is a place we stumbled upon in downtown Monroe. They advertise gyro’s and stuff so we figured it would be just another coney. But it was way better. The atmosphere is funny(they hung up old record album covers on the wall). We sat in the«John Travolta» booth, complete with a full page layout of him during his Saturday Night Fever years. The back wall by the kitchen is a huge chalkboard and there was a little kid there coloring(she was so engrossed in this, she never screamed or started crying or anything — which drives me nuts when I’m eating out). The food was typical diner but they had a great veggie burger. The waitress was spot on and always ready to offer refills, etc. I knocked off a star because of the fries(which cost $.99 extra, which I think is stupid, they should just make it one price. C’mon who actually comes in to get a sandwich and doesn’t get fries??). To me, they tasted like they were fried in old oil and I couldn’t eat them but the hubs loved them so he got my portion as well. You could tell they weren’t frozen which to most people is a good thing, but I prefer the frozen kind. Go figure.
