African peanut soup… amazing. Sandwiches are tasty, salads fresh & delish too The atmosphere could use a boost but honestly when you’re focusing on the food everything else is just fine.

We have been in a few times since this place opened. It was ok but not fabulous. This last time was pathetic. I need my bread toasted. I asked that it not be black but at least on the brown side, not done, it was barely warmed. The sliced turkey was ok but not just enough to call it a sandwich but not much more. The rest of it, the cranberry sauce and cream cheese were ok, but why did it taste like onions? I discussed both soup and salad, but since I have allergies to black pepper and chili, neither would work unless I had an undressed salad. Also I had to walk the cashier through this and figure it out myself as she just didn’t understand allergies to anything, at least that is how she acted with me. The chips which were not a new mini bag were so stale that they were not edible, really sad. I do get saving funds and bagging it yourself but be aware how much you use so this doesn’t happen! I did call and probably talked to the one who helped me and it seemed that the amount of caring about the issues were about as caring of my issues when I ordered them, ho hum. So this place not only didn’t give me service and a reasonable meal for my money this time, they lost a customer and my family too.

The reviews were good so I decided to try it out and the reviews were true! I went in 30 minutes before closing and they were still polite and friendly. They had some unique sandwich choices, salads and soups.!The sandwich and soup I had were amazing and fresh. They also have free wifi so I was able to get a bit of work done while I was waiting for my meal. I’ll definitely be going back!

This is the perfect spot for a great lunch! They offer a nice variety of sandwiches, soups, salads and a few other options. The combinations can be simple or more unique but everything tastes great. Service was friendly and efficient.

Meh… Not great, not terrible. Went for lunch on a Thursday with my wife and it was pretty busy. Seemed understaffed for the amount of customers in the restaurant, and as a result, the service was slow. Our food beat our drinks to the table … Not how it’s supposed so work, right? I grew up near a lot of good little sandwich shops/bakeries in the Skagit Valley and this food was just so-so compared to most of those places. The Italian tomato soup tasted like it could have come from a can and the white bread was pretty dry. I wanted to like it, but the flavor and freshness just weren’t there. The cost also felt high for what we got. The best thing I had was the house spiced ice tea. I don’t see us rushing back.

Don’t be fooled by its location in a strip mall, this place is great. Nice décor, and super friendly service. I had the reuben, and it was delicious. The side of soup was quite tasty as well. I’ll certainly stop here again the next time I’m passing through Monroe.

The broccoli cheddar soup is where it at! So dangerous and delicious. The house salad is very good. The serving size of the actual meal was fine for me. I tried the Reuben sandwich and my boyfriend got the bercolli panini. Both were really really good and I kept stealing bites of his soup. The wait time was short. The place was empty when we arrived and half full when we left. Very clean and seems like a hidden gem in a normal business strip in Monroe.

I have only dined in once, I normally just call in my order. Everyone who works here is very friendly and professional. Sandwiches are delicious. The only one I really don’t care for is the grilled cheese, but the grilled cheese and Ham I love. The fresh baked whoopie pies & peanut butter cookie things are a guilty pleasure and are so… so. delicious! I have yet to have breakfast here but I am sure it is delicious! Update. They are still amazing and I hear they will now be opening a Bakery! How great is that! If you had not had a chance to stop by, try the fresh made chips with my personal favorite the Chicken Bacon Ranch!

Wow, I love this place. I wish it was a little cheaper, but it was good enough to go to lunch 3 times in one week. Its that good.

I Love this place! Best food ever! They have a breakfast menu that some may not know about, must try the Harlem is so good. The Harlem comes with a bowl of fruit, me and my husband split it and they brought us 2 bowls of fruit on separate plates with Half the Harlem as well. The Ruben I hate Rubens but here it is so good. I order it almost every time we go. The salads are so good and so big we usually split a salad if we order one. The customer service is so good, they are al so friendly and seem to really enjoy there job. The owner comes out and talks to you makes sure everything is alright. It’s nice to have a great friendly place around they are doing it right!

Pretty much a diamond in the rough. It took us a while to stumble upon this place, but we’re glad we did. GREAT food. Plus a good selection of items my vegetarian wife will eat, and enjoy.

This place is a perfect little gem tucked away in strip mall ugly. Do not be fooled by its exterior Or surrounding minimal grossness, it’s perfect. It’s simple: Sandwiches and salads. But they have it all: Inventive ones, creative ones, healthy ones, guilty ones, cold ones, hot pressed ones, you get the idea. Big portions, super friendly staff and above average espresso to boot. Must visit if you’re in town and need a bite.

Passed through the area after a walk with our pooches, and were pleasantly surprised. We were asked if we wanted to dine in or take out, and took a seat by the windows. For being in a little shopping mall sort of area, the ambiance was cozy and classy… aaaaaaaand then you look at the menu and realize why! My goodness, everything on the menu was pretty expensive. I wasn’t prepared to go to a «deli» and spent ten dollars on a sandwich and chips. Yes, the portions were pretty good, and the food was as well, but still seems pretty darn expensive for what it is. Don’t expect to save on ordering a salad either, since they are just as if not more expensive than the sandwiches! Good service and good food, but just a bit of sticker shock on the menu. Might return if back in the area, but will still feel a bit gyped by the bill.

Nice place with comfortable décor and clean. Friendly service too. But all that wasn’t enough to make-up for the price of the mediocre food. Unfortunately, the only thing exceptional about my $ 11 sandwich was the price. I was expecting a gourmet touch or taste and found neither. First and likely last visit. And will reward my friend’s recommendation with a flat, warm beer.

I take my daughter to the Kid’s Country daycare in downtown Monroe and am surprised I never noticed this deli a mere few feet away from the main entrance. It is a bit hidden, but once you go in, it is a pleasant surprise to see a clean & trendy looking interior that hints at a fresh café type-o place. It was unclear in regards to service how they operate the place. Do we seat ourselves, do we wait for the check or go up to the front??? It’s a casual place, so I’m sure anything would be fine, but that unsure feeling you get walking into a place might be off putting to others out there. I loved how prompt the service was. There were a good amount of people there for the lunch hour, but the team in the kitchen looked hard at work cracking out some fresh looking stuff. The gentleman who was checking in on me was pleasant and knew his share about what was on the menu. He gave a great recommendation on a club sandwich with a nice spinach salad complimented by their poppy seed house dressing. It was just a couple of minutes before it was in front of me. I was on borrowed time with my little girl pushing into what we call our«Witching Hour» where either a nap, food, or a changing usually gets her in a mood and a public eatery is the last place we should be. So I appreciated the promptness to which I could get in, be served, and get out within a generous 15 – 20 minute span. I would probably take this place into more consideration than your typical«Panera» types of eateries. My wife and my neighbor had reluctant experiences with the team here due to attitude with service, but I didn’t see much of that in my brief stint. I will probably be back some time soon since I was really craving a Panini and just didn’t get it this go around.

Parking is easy. The food is great with large portions. There is a variety of sandwiches, a couple soups of the day(wonderful btw), salads are in large bowls, and the specialty mocha blended coffee drink was yummy. There are lots of tables with both a booth seating choice or regular table top and chairs. The interior is clean with a fresh crisp décor style. Prices are fair. The staff is attentive and friendly. It appeared to have«regulars» who called in to check on the soup for the day.(We witnessed a couple soup calls during our 45min lunch). Atmosphere is quiet. Seems like a great spot to study since the tables are large. We will be back. Was a nice afternoon date with my husband.

This is a late review, but I’ve been here four times and each time the food is mediocre and the service was anything but good. I hate going to a deli or restaurant and not knowing whether to sit myself or wait and then standing like an idiot for 5 minutes each time before being helped. I’ve had several of the sandwiches, which I could have made just as good at home. Twice the panini sandwich cheese wasn’t melted and the other time the flavors just weren’t up to par. The Famous House Salad was a good tasting one, but the spinach was wilted and the salad had so much dressing on it, I couldn’t eat it. The beverages that I have had there were very tasty though. Especially the spiced ice tea. Very good. I was really hoping for more since I had seen such good reviews on Unilocal, but I definitely won’t be going there again.
