I had heard from word-of-mouth that this was the place to go for unique appetizers, wines, and such. Being in Ruston and being used to Devine as our only place, I had high hopes. I was quickly disappointed that the stock was low and they didn’t have much on our visit. Perhaps next time. We did find some unique things like a Manischevitz collection of matzo crackers, matzo ball soups, etc. and some nice apricot cheese. I also was excited to buy and try Praline Liquor, which is über sweet and perfect in a White Russian! All for all– it was steeply priced but Tonore rang us up and was so friendly, it would be hard not to go back again when in the area. He chatted and made us feel welcome. The place is smaller than I imagined but has a good, yet limited selection.

I remember this place from my childhood… when the stepdad wanted a broader selection of quality spirits he always made a trip to Monroe to visit this place… Don’t think I’ve ever been in here as an adult but recently stopped in cause was looking for a decent selection of cigars and I knew they had a humidor… cigar selection was good with Partagas, Padron etc… The Spirit selections are still top shelf as well… all in all when I’m in Monroe and needing something Tonore’s will be my go to locale!
