AWESOME! We had everything from Gator balls to Baked Oysters for appetizers and it is was perfection. We ordered the catfish Seirra and crab cakes for an entrée. The Creole flavors combined with fresh seafood and fish were perfection. If you want to enjoy a peaceful meal with company and great food then this the place. By the way how good are the baked oysters??? So good my eight year old ate half the dish before I could eat one UPDATE New entrée Salmon Mornay. Hands down the best salmon dish ever. From DC to Vegas and even Provo, this dish rates as one of the best meals I have ever had. A hefty portion of salmon topped with crab meat and shrimp then smothered in Mornay sauce.

This is kind of an old school restaurant and the clientele is definitely older, but their food is spectacular! You will not find better oysters or red fish anywhere. I would love a little better ambiance as there is an older woman who plays the piano and you will definitely here the same music again and again, but the food is unbelievable so the rest does not matter.

What a disappointment this was. The place looks great, the bar is sufficient, and piano music adds a very nice touch. You can clearly see there is a vision of something nice. But operationally there’s a ways to go. A couple of wait staff tried to serve something we didn’t order, the kitchen couldn’t make fries, yep plain olé French fries, without garlic salt… and we had to ask for our basket of bread. Or rather hush puppies. Culinarily I score them higher than operationally, but it still lags the aesthetics. My tilapia was tasty but a bit dry and the portion was more appropriate for two people and this made the dish look a bit trough-ish, if you know what I mean. The spinach too was tasty but completely hidden and mounded too tightly to appreciate. My dinner partner asked for lightly blackened fish and this apparently meant bland. He also asked for some fries without seasoning but the kitchen refused. At a time when the restaurant world is finding ways to meet customers needs this seemed like a simple request. Apparently not here. There’s potential! I wish them well but not likely to get my hard earned dollars next time I’m driving through.

We were driving through and decided on a local place. We went by Warehouse 1 on a Saturday evening. It was BUSY but fortunately we made a reservation online. We were seated right away as the place started filling up. We had a fantastic experience. The food was exquisite(I recommend the blackened redfish) and the service was prompt, especially for a Saturday evening. Highly recommended and we will come back the next time in we are in town.

This place was awesome — grilled tilapia over jalapeño cheese grits topped with crawfish étouffée well done. Reasonable prices. Excellent and quick service. Bravo!

Food is great, view is awesome — one of my favorite restaurants in Monroe. Always have a great experience with the exception of my last visit. The only complaint I have is the tuxedo and top hat-wearing host was a little too friendly to the point that it was creepy.

Could not be more pleased. Great environs, atmosphere, live guitar, service and food. I actually walked out of another restaurant so I could spend my second night in town here again. Don’t miss the pumpkin cheesecake if they’ve still got it!

Great restaurant! We stopped here for lunch on our trip from from Dallas to South Carolina. Friendly staff, interesting historical location, great view of the river. We enjoyed traditional gumbo, salads, and our kids loved the fried chicken tenders… all very fresh! Also loved to hush puppies!!!

Valet parking available, & they provide door service with or without valet parking. The host was fun & inviting. Piano player was on point & not too loud, the view was awesome, blackened red fish was perfect,(& I’m not a blackened fan because I don’t like rubs) perfectly done the way it should be. There’s something on the menu for everyone without it being overwhelming with selection. My waiter was attentive & courteous invisible when needed & visible when needed. I can’t say enough good about this place. Prices are $$, but worth every penny,(really). All the guest around me were happy & having their own conversations without it being too loud. This is an awesome place. Awesome!!!

We decided to try it because a nearby restaurant didn’t want to seat my family despite half of it being empty. Regardless, Warehouse No. 1 took us in and we had a great time.

This is a really cool atmosphere with excellent quality fish. There are many traditional southern fried dishes. I had fried green tomatoes which were outstanding. There are also many healthy options. I also had a steamed red snapper surrounded by baby red potatoes, rosemary, and carrots. This was outstanding. The cocktails are fantastic and the view is magnificent!

Great seafood in southern fashion and I love the atmosphere! When my hubby and I were dating and in college, we went here for special dates. Wonderful memories; can’t wait to go back :)

If you are looking for a good place to take a date out for an evening dinner or just have a drink, this isnt a bad place to hit up and try at least once. Its located on the river and does have a river view. Plenty of seating in the restaurant. Parking is gravel, so if you’re from out of town, may want to take an SUV. Otherwise just drive slowly. The reason I gave this place 3 stars was because I had a bad experience with our waitress. She never came by to fill our water. Not only that, we waited a while and then boom! both our salads and main entrée came out just minutes apart. So one bite into my salad and I have a main course just sitting there. Had to jump between the two because I didnt want the fish to get cold. F Maybe she had a bad day. I don’t know… but its showing in this review. The food was okay too… but not for the price we paid.

Friday night no reservations with a group of 5. Pleasant atmosphere upon entering the restaurant, had a pianist playing. Told 20 minute wait time. Actual time was 40 minutes. Another 15 and we got our drinks and buttery hush puppies. Had inexperienced servers working who messed up 2 of our orders and omitted one thing our group ordered all together. Food came out 30 mins after the drinks. 30 minutes isn’t bad but we ordered at the same time we got our drinks. Food as a whole was a little below average for a restaurant. High point was the crab cakes. Low point was the shrimp sampler. All the shrimp was cold. The mash potatoes also tasted like they where instant. I ordered the fried catfish platter regular size. The fish was good but a little below average for the quality of taste for fried catfish in the area. Price is suited for the atmosphere but not the quality of food or service.

Visited Warehouse 1 on a recent business trip to Monroe. It came highly recommended from several locals. The ambience is really neat– it is really located inside an old warehouse(with original wood floors and cypress beams). The warehouse was once a store house for cotton and dried goods that came up and down the Ouachita River on their way to and from New Orleans. The warehouse sits right on the Ouachita River and watching the river as you eat is really quite nice. The day I visited they seemed to be having some problems in the kitchen and although our waitress apologized profusely, the service was slow. They did comp my glass of wine though. The food was good. My coworker got the jalapeño cheese grits and said they were phenomenal. I got the fried catfish plate– which was good but not phenomenal. Overall, I would go back to Warehouse 1, hopefully on a day when their kitchen is in order.
