Avoid at all costs. You will not receive proper care here. Hospital looks nice on the outside with bad doctors inside. Specifically, Dr. Paul Beck is rude and negligent. He had a patient come to him BY AMBULANCE with severe dehydration and hyponutriemia. After doing NO TESTS whatsoever he discharged the patient in 15 minutes. The same patient was admitted to the ICU just hours later at UPMC McKeesport in critical condition. Dr. Beck’s negligence could have cost him his life. You have been warned!

I heard good things about this hospital, however, I came here after a car accident and have been sitting in the waiting room for 3 hours waiting to be seen by someone. There is no sense of urgency here and the workers are very miserable. Wish I would have went to Presby, or ANY other hospital in the Pittsburgh area. Not happy with this place at all.

Hospitalist are very cheap when it comes to comfort level on pain medicine not at all concerned with your comfort

I never thought I’d give a review for a hospital, but after 3 visits in the past 6 months it is well overdue. First, it’s very accessible with many available parking spaces. Second, it’s secure at the entrance to ER with metal detectors and a live guard. Third, their admissions system is thorough and efficient. Fourth, it’s clean and well organized and you are promptly taken into ICU for patient support. There are so many pluses, not only because it’s new, but the organization runs very well. The only negative is that you wait a bit in your room before your actual doctor arrives to treat you, but that is due to prioritization of treatment required. The less severe your condition, plan on a longer wait to be seen by the doctor. The overall ER experience is less traumatizing here!

Well, if you have to go to the hospital, this is the place to go! My husband and I visited the ER a couple nights ago. The waiting room is well decorated, clean, and beautiful. However, we only sat there for about 3 minutes before we were whisked back to a spacious room with beautiful glass doors and a flat screen TV. A plethora of helpful nurses came in and out of the room followed by a PA and doctor. I was so impressed by the fact that we had arrived at 8pm and were back home a little after 11pm.

Pretty much what you would expect from UPMC, state of the art hospital with comfortable waiting rooms, coffee shop, big screen TV’s, clean environment, work spaces while waiting, etc.

We had my mother here several times.
Beautiful, clean, modern almost a boutique hospital. The staff is friendly and they treat you very well.
I would never hesitate to recommend this hospital.
