I always come to this location and have never had an issue. The first time I bring my mom, it was the worst experience in customer service. My mom and I came to have lunch at 12 pm. I ordered a build your own and she order a BBQ Chicken pizza. The girl who helped us was Gio, and she hadn’t put cilantro on my moms pizza. My mom had asked her for it and Gio said they ran out. I had told her how could they run out if you guys just opened. Her coworker had told her they did have some but needed to be chopped. Gio rolled her eyes and told her coworker, then you go get it. The other employee was kind enough to get it from the fridge and clean it and cut it. As the girl was cutting the cilantro, Gio had taken my moms pizza to be put in the oven. I had told her that we still needed cilantro on it. She rolled her eyes AGAIN and started shaking her head. She went to the back and had the same girl put the cilantro on our pizza. I was in complete disbelief at her attitude. She was so rude and disrespectful. Why work there if you hate your job?! As we payed I had mentioned it to the manager Miguel about Gios poor customer service. All he said was he’ll talk to her. Not even an apology or anything. Not sure if I’ll be coming back to this location. With their awful customer service I’ll probably be taking my business elsewhere.

Good pizza, I like that their simple pie is only $ 5!!! They do the thin crust decently. Some other places make it disastrously — the toppings fall through the accidental toilet-paper thin crust(even when they use the press machine) and it’s impossible to eat the damn pizza. Decent chain place quality.

Wow, I think Blaze just kicked PizzaRev off my yummy, build your own pizza throne, lol! I was in Old Town Monrovia, and decided to pop in here for lunch, and conveniently walk off lunch later with grocery shopping at Pavilions next door. Upon arrival: I was greeted by one of the female servers that explained me about choosing their signature made pizzas or build my own. I chose the latter. The best part I like about Blaze — the cheese! It’s so gooey and cheesy on my pizza — ONPOINT!!! That’s what got me sold on this place: They offer a larger variety of cheeses here. For my pizza, the male server who made my pizza was sweet and did not skimp on all the toppings I got, heheh: Sauce: White cream sauce Cheese: mozzarella, ricotta and goat cheese Meats: Turkey Meatballs, Pepperoni, Grilled Chicken, and Applewood Bacon Veggies: Spinach, Black Olives, Basil, Artichokes, Mushrooms and Zucchini Fruit: Pineapple The crust was thin and baked golden with a nice golden crust. One Star Off: They don’t have oregano sprinklers. They only have sprinkled flavors of parmesan, chili flakes and Siracha sauces. They can sprinkle the oregano on when making your pizza, but that’s it. For $ 8, I loved my pizza. Add with a soda, total was $ 10.79. They got bottled drinks or fountain drinks. They have a soda fountain, ice teas or Lemonade stations(Regular and Blood Orange flavor — the Blood Orange Lemonade was delicious, but super sweet! Water that puppy down if you drink it!). The place itself is pretty spacious and clean. Even the restrooms are clean too! The female server who helped me in the beginning also check up on me when she made her floor rounds — very cool! Overall, I dig Blaze pizza. My first time was awesome, and I’ll definitely be back!

Came here for the first time last Saturday, really like their pizza, been to other similar chain create your own pizza,(like pieology/pizza rev, etc.) Blaze would be the better ones if we talking about taste. But, regards to the service, it is really lacking. the short lady with short black hair(hispanic!!!) and cap backward was not friendly at all, really rude, why is she working there? we were in line getting our topping, and she seem like she didn’t want to be there. Anyhow, we were sitting down ready to eat our pizza, I wanted to get an extra plate and some pesto sauce, I went over to the area where you pick up the pizza, and ask her(short hair lady) for a plate, she had gave the plate to me, and I asked if I can also get some pesto sauce, she rudely told me, «you gonna have to wait», I said to myself Huh??, wait for ?? so she continue to do what she was doing, wait for her to get the burnt part off the other pizzas, so I walked away and and came back in about 45 seconds, waiting for another minute so she can finished what she is doing. She looked up and saw me there, so she gave me a cup of pesto sause, which contains about ¼ of the cup, I said to myself really, ¼ cup only!!! and I just walked away. I went back to my table, told my wife the brief story, she told me the same lady attended to while she was the line earlier, was rude to her as well„ wife said she was saying«anything else to add» while rolling her eyes, unbelievable!!! Since I only had ¼ cup of Pesto that she gave me earlier, was used up quickly, went back, another employee was there this time(man in his 50’s, was very nice), gave me almost ¾ cup with a smile. Blaze need more workers like him. I was there because of a few friends that had told me to try it, word of mouth is very powerful. Blaze need to get rid of this lady, in order to get more client, I’m sure other customer are experiencing this as well, she is an bad apple of the bunch, not good for business. I will continue to go to Blaze Pizza, but to a further one away from my home. I guess it is worth the drive to avoid workers like her.(sad face)

Love unlimited topping options for about $ 8 and love that they have a large variety of toppings and cheeses. I usually BYO and have goat cheese, ricotta, mozzarella, chicken, turkey meatballs, a BUNCH of veggies, olives and finish off with arugula and pesto sauce. I brought it down to a 4 stars because their salad option is not that great. Wish they had something similar to BYO.

This is where i go for pizza. It’s as good as can be… I think they really have it down, the whole fast food thing. Three minute fresh pizza, life is good…

I love that this Blaze opened up here because it is closer to me than the Pasadena one. And the parking situation is so much better here since it is located in a large plaza! And the best thing is that this location used to mail out coupons to local residents when they first opened. Thanks to those coupons I have been here several times and it has been a good experience each time. They have a good amount of seating inside, although I usually take the pizza to-go since I live nearby. Like all Blaze locations, you can customise your pizza with as many toppings as you like. I tend to make my pizzas saucy, which never goes well with the gluten-free crust that I order. The GF crust is really thin, so my pizza falls apart really easily and has to be eaten with a fork/knife. Also, the GF crusts are always burned on the edges, but that happens at other similar pizza companies so I guess that’s just a problem everyone has with GF crusts… Also, don’t forget to add arugula and pesto sauce at the very end when they are packaging your pizza! I did not know you could do that the first couple of times I came here. The staff here are really great, I have always had great service from them. I was especially appreciative of them the last time I used a BOGO coupon because they discounted my GF crust pizza instead of the regular crust pizza. I forgot what workaround he used to make that happen, but I was very appreciative of that gesture and I will continue to visit this location because of it(and the other reasons I mentioned earlier).

Blaze Pizza is one of my favorite build-your-own pizza places. Like most other places like this, you can build you own pizza for $ 8 and put just about anything you want on it. They also have their signature pizzas that you can chose if you don’t feel like making your own. They have a wide variety of sauces, cheeses, meats, and veggies. I love how they use thin crust for their pizzas. I always add pesto over the whole pizza at the end. The staff always seems happy to help but they can get very busy sometimes. They have a lot of tables for seating and the business itself is located in a plaza so there is a lot of room for parking. Definitely worth trying! Would highly recommend to anyone that loves pizza.

I’ve been a loyal customer since they first opened. I like the consistently great service and amazing pizzas they fire up. Blaze is similar to Pieology where you can choose as many toppings as you’d like. They offer gluten-free crust as well as vegan Daiya cheese(as a lactose intolerant person, I appreciate this). I always get the build your own pizza and as soon as my pizza’s out of the oven, I ask them to add arugula on top for extra greens! One other thing I love about Blaze is their lemonades. They make them too sweet though but I just dilute it with more water. Plenty of seating inside and some tables outside too.

Similar to pizza 585, Pieoligy, or Artesian Pizza, but I think the crust is better(seems lighter and less filling). I’ve been here a few times and the service has always been good. I like eating where I can see them put the ingredients in your meal. If you want more cheese, just ask for it. If you want a little more olives or onions, don’t be shy. I like making my pizza with ½ spicy marinara and ½ Alfredo sauces. The restaurant and bathroom areas have always been clean and neat. Not a bad deal for under $ 8.00 for pizza. Who doesn’t like pizza?!

I love Blaze. So far none of the locations I have been to have let me down, even the ones in the mall(like Glendale Galleria!). This one is just the same. Super stoked to have a Blaze location be so close to home! Service here is what you would come to expect from Blaze: friendly, genuine and speedy. Even though it’s not my first visit, if I had questions about a topping or sauce, they’d take the time to honestly answer without holding up the line. I get the impression they like and care about working here. I’ve never strayed from ordering the build your own pizza with unlimited toppings. I like both the classic red sauce and the spicy red sauce. I rotate between the BBQ drizzle and pesto drizzle, but always order more mozzarella on all trips. Toppings vary according to my mood, but I try to be reasonable and not over-order because it does weigh down the pizza. Parking and in-door seating is plentiful, even the times I’ve come when the local kids’ baseball team(I think it was baseball, or some other sport) was coming for a after-game dinner.

Fast, affordable and really delicious while being highly customizable, I can’t find anything bad to say about this place. It’s essentially like Chitpotle, but you’re making a pizza instead. For about $ 8.95 ish you get any topping you want. The pizza can always last two meals for me so I’d say that’s a pretty freaking good deal. It takes about 10 minutes to get your food, not because they don’t honor the 180 seconds fast bake promise, it’s just that there are lots of pizza ahead of yours waiting to be fast baked. You get to choose from a good variety of meats; chicken, two types of sausage, pepperoni, etc and a large variety of fresh vegetables. Don’t run the rookie mistake of loading up TOO much on your pizza, which is hard to do because there are sooo many toppings because it weighs down your pizza too much and becomes just toppings and no crust. Especially because it’s thin crust here. They also have bbq sauce and pesto sauce you can drizzle on your pizza as well after it’s baked! Another tip is the sauce they put on your pizza is usually sufficient and the perfect amount. I love sauce and asked for extra sauce one time, but the pizza ended up too soggy and my toppings were swimming in a sea of marinara.

Every time I come here, I see smiling employees and happy customers. The toppings are of good quality, and they use Daiya vegan cheese(for those of you who need it). Their normal mozzarella is divine as well, and you can see the freshness in their toppings. The chicken can be dry, but you can’t really feel it too much with the rest of the pizza. The crust is also just right – crispy with a slight chew. I bring all my friends here as everyone can always find something they like :)

4.5 stars! Easy parking in the lot. The line moved pretty fast and there were plenty of seats available! This place is perfect for a quick meal! Come on, you can customize an 11 inch pizza with unlimited toppings for $ 7.65?! That is a steal! The ingredients are high quality and fresh. The crust is thin and very good!(Gluten-free is also available for an additional cost) They offer a variety of sauces, cheeses, meats, and vegetables… there’s something for everyone! You can mix multiple sauces and combine cheeses too. Then top your pizza with whatever your heart desires! The italian sausage is especially tasty, bold and full of flavor! They also offer signature pizzas and salads if you don’t feel like thinking too much about choosing toppings. Get a s’more pie for dessert! But have then heat it up when you’re ready to eat it… yummmmmm! Ordered: — Customized pizza. $ 7.65 YAY! Get the Italian sausage and everything else haha. — White top signature pizza. $ 7.65 White cream sauce, bacon, mozzarella, bacon, garlic, oregano, arugula. When your pizza is ready… Ask them to drizzle EVOO on top to bring out the flavor! — Link in signature pizza. $ 7.65 Sausage, red peppers, sauteed onions, mozzarella, red sauce — Meat lover’s signature pizza. $ 7.65 Pepperoni, meatballs, red onion, mozzarella, red sauce — S’more pie. $ 2.00 YUMM! Ooey gooey goodness! Service was good, food was awesome! Will come back to stuff my face with pizza and s’mores!

3.5 Stars So I’ve eaten at Pieology, Flamzz, and PizzaRev… why not try Blaze as well? Same concept as all the others… you can either order from their Signature menu or build a custom pizza. I decided to order one of their Signature Pizzas while my friend from work made his own. As we got out of the car we noticed a large group behind us walking towards us. «Run!» hahah and of course they were all heading to Blaze as well. The service was really fast and the pizza didn’t take long to come out. Instead of giving you a number, they will call your name out and you have to go pick it up. I tried the BBQ Chicken Pizza(grilled chicken, mozzarella, red onion, banana peppers, gorgonzola, bbq sauce drizzle) and my friend made a custom pizza with red sauce, mozzarella, gorgonzola, garlic, basil, pepperoni, and sausage. I tried a slice of his and it was pretty tasty as the crust is really thin and managed to stay crisp. Overall, the BBQ Chicken Pizza is way different than California Pizza Kitchen’s recipe. It’s a lot more tart tasting. It tastes good fresh out of the oven and hot, but it’s TOTALLYNASTY if you box it up and try eating it later. I put 3 pieces in a box and was going to eat the rest when I got back to the office and it tasted awful. $ 7.65BBQ Chkn Pizza $ 1.95 Drink Tax $ 0.86 =============== TOTAL $ 10.46 The one thing I absolutely love is the Blood Orange Lemonade which is one of the reasons I rounded my rating to a 4. One of the staff was coming around the dining area and asking we needed anything else. Overall, decent place, but I probably won’t get the signature BBQ Chicken Pizza again. 20⁄100 Reviews for 2015

These«build your own pie» places seem to be popping up everywhere, and for good reason. There are nearly endless possibilities and combinations, so it doesn’t get boring, and more importantly … they are fast. 180 seconds to be exact, or so Blaze claims. Wanting a quick lunch, we were originally going to Flamzz on Ivy St., a mere 2 minutes away from this place, but since we haven’t tried Blaze yet, it was a no-brainer. The concept & ingredients between these places are all very similar: crust w/gluten or not, pick your sauce, then your meat, veggies… etc. They also have a menu with their own creations in case this concept gets too overwhelming for some people. Service was pleasant. A girl asked if this is our first time and if we know how things work. and the guy that made my pizza was able to make it to my exact request, and the flavor came out great. 180 seconds? I think not … but it was still fast. I ordered: Italian sausage, meatballs, applewood bacon, mushrooms, artichokes with shredded mozarella, ovalini mozarella(fresh, as opposed to dry) and gorgonzola, with spicy red sauce and fresh basil. The sauce actually had a nice kick. The combination of the meats & cheese resulted in a salty, creamy, tasty pile of flavors on the thin crust. All for $ 7.65. Though it’s a personal size, I was only able to finish half. And what’s better than leftover pizza when hunger strikes at night? Not much. Overall, I do like Blaze more than Flamzz
1) I was able to taste more of the ingredients. 2) The gorgonzola & sauce were more pronounced, even though there were so many toppings 3) They don’t put you on the spot by asking you to tip It hasn’t been that long, and I’m already craving another one. Needless to say, I shall return, and hopefully soon. notes: *Ovalini mozzarella is fresh moz cheese, in a ball form … not the dried shredded kind. It melts into a creamy glob and is rich. Good stuff * Huge parking lot, shared with many other busineeses * Located next to Baskin Robbins, in case the pizza didn’t provide enough calories * Walk it off on Myrtle(Old Town Monrovia)

Grabbed a bite to eat here this evening with a friend of mine for dinner. This Blaze Pizza location is located in the same plaza as Von’s(specifically located right next to Baskin’ Robbins and Starlight Express). We entered around 6:25 pm or so and there was no line to order. After browsing the menu for a bit, we both decided to go for the build your own pizza($ 7.65 prior to tax, add as many toppings as your desire) route, although you could also pick one of their other pizzas in case you are not feeling rather adventurous and wanting to make too many choices. Although my pizza is supposed to be in the oven for only 180 seconds(3 minutes), it did take some time to get our pizza since there were quite a handful of people ahead of us waiting for their pizza. We probably waited about 15 – 20 minutes for our pizzas(after you pay for your pizza, you wait for it to be done and they will call your name). The pizza I got was made with mozzarella, classic red sauce(marinara), chicken, mushrooms, spinach, basil, olives, artichokes, roasted garlic, red peppers and oregano. The pizza tasted great and the crust was nice. I liked that although the pizza is a thin crust, it was still a little thicker than the thin crust at Pieology because it can actually support the toppings and won’t fall off after you pick it up and take your first bite. The flavors of the toppings I had were great. I also had a smore pie($ 2 prior to tax) for dessert, which was also nice. The employee who took our order asked if I would like to have it heated, which I did and it was given to us with our pizzas. The employees who helped with our pizzas, the employee who was at the register and the employee walking around the dining area was very nice. The server who walked around the dining area checked in with us to see how our pizza was and also removed our dirty dishes. Overall, this place is a great place to get a custom made pizza for lunch or dinner. By the way, this place does not have public use wifi(the wifi is there for the register) and you can purchase premade salads at the register in case you wanted to add some more fiber to your meal.

This place has been open since late July and this was my first time visiting this specific location! Located off Myrtle/Foothill in the large Pavilions parking lot, Blaze is my favorite, fast-casual pizzeria chain. For roughly $ 8, you get unlimited toppings to put on your pizza. Compared to other competitors like 800 degrees that charges $ 1 a topping, this is a STEAL. I usually get my pizza with the spicy tomato sauce *not spicy at all* and a variety of cheeses(ricotta, parmesan, goat cheese, etc) & vegetables… they have a plethora of proteins, but sometimes meat isn’t necessary to be full and to enjoy your meal. This is essentially like a Chipotle line in that you go down the line of toppings until it’s ready to be cooked. I ask for it be cooked extra crispy every time. Once it’s done, I ask for it to be topped with fresh arugula and greens and ask for a side of ranch. You can always order from one of their predetermined pizzas(BBQ chicken, margherita, etc), but the fun of coming here is making it yourself! LOTS of seating inside, so that’s great! Come by and check this place out!

Great location and service: easy to find and ample parking. Inside, the lines are not excruciatingly long like the other more well-known places because their specialty is that they cook their pizza in a fast-fired oven for 180 seconds, provided of course that their pizza crust is super, duper thin and some of their meat/veggies are pre-cooked. You have a choice of building your own or picking their signature pizzas for $ 7.65. $ 1.95 for soft drinks and $ 2.00 for their signature s’more pie. I got the spicy red sauce with almost everything on top and he got the white sauce with almost everything on top as well. Both came out fast, hot and fresh. I’m not a big pizza eater but both of us gobbled up the pizzas fast. The only criticism I had with mine was that I didn’t taste any of the spicy red sauce so I honestly don’t think it would have made any bit of a difference in taste if I had gotten the spicy or regular. Lastly, please, please, please stay away from the ovolini mozzarella cheese. The big chunks of ovolini mozzs were great at the time but both of us had to pay severe consequences at night… and the following morning for having them. Most people might have blamed the place in general but we both agreed that it was the ovaltini mozz alone that had gotten us both sick and gassy. You’ve been forewarn.

There’s something about pizza places, especially build your own pizza places that attracts the fiancé. Before this, he’s brought me to Pizza Rev in Pasadena. What to expect: –You get two choices for pizza crust: regular or gluten free(the latter costs extra). –Their style is thin crust, personal pizza. –Choose from a pre-made menu & add more toppings or build your own. –An average person probably won’t get full from one pizza(I didn’t and I don’t eat much). Selection wise, Blaze Pizza is just ok. I kind of wished that they had wheat crust pizza as an option instead of traditional. Overall, this is a cute place to try at least once. Maybe even a great place to bring your kids if they like to see and select their own toppings. Unilocal 100 challenge — 53 of 100
