I come here two to three times a week. The food is delicious, and the staff is very hospitable. There is such a wide variety of dishes that everyone can enjoy. I love the shrimp cocktail. Time to eat lunch! :)

I absolutely love this place… The service is outstanding and the food is just as good, if not better than as their service. I don’t give 5 stars, but I am happy to do so. My favorite is their Pozole and their salsa. I have a hard time usually choosing between their burritos or enchilada. Portions are big enough to always have left overs for the next day — and their prices are very reasonable if not low for the quality of the food and service. KEEPITUPCASAJIMENEZ — YOUROCK!

I love this place. Food is real Mexican food. Chips and salsa are delicious. The dinner all you can eat meal is a great deal for 12.99. I love it

No frills, huge gigantic portions, well priced, this restaurant is always busy with a lot of traffic. I had the Ropa Vieja which was very good. The beef tamale was not. We had a big table and the waitress did a good job attending to our needs. It’s no gourmet cuisine but if you need your tank filled, this could be a station.

The food was really good. The only gripe I have was the CarneAsada burrito I had the meat was a little crispy but the salsa was excellent and my wife really enjoyed her garlic shrimp. They kept my Coca Cola full and the food was reasonably priced

My family and I discovered Casa Jimenez a few months ago and now it’s one of our favorite stops for a nice Sunday breakfast after church. The service is always terrific with attentive and polite wait staff. The food is really good as well. The menu is huge and we’ve yet to try most things but favorites so far include: cocido, huevos rancheros, American breakfast, and the grilled chicken with garlic. The rice & beans are tasty and the chips & salsa are dangerous because you can’t stop eating them! All in all, really pleased to have found this local gem and we will certainly keep coming back.

I read several reviews on Unilocal.Mostly positive. So I decided to have lunch there today Saturday January 30, 2016. I ordered the Guadalajara Special.($ 16.90 If I am not mistaken). Frijoles de la olla were great. Rice was good. Meat(Filet Mignon) was bad!!! Over cooked. It was well done! I had requested Medium. I spoke to the waiter. All he could say was«Sorry. I will speak with the cook.» I talked with another waiter. He said exactly the same thing!!! I paid over $ 20 dollars for a lunch that I did not eat(Meat. Filet Mignon). So, BEWARE. I can only give CASA Jimenez one star today due to the poor customer service both waiters exhibited. Casa Jimenez waiter: if you don’t take good care of your customer… someone else will!

The only reason I’m giving it one star is because the first time I ate here, I ordered the posole which it was decent and the service was good. My second time eating here was absolutely disappointing. I ordered the dinner combination one cheese enchilada and hard shell taco. The food tasted like was pre heated in the microwave. The service was poor. The sever never came back to check if I needed anything. Lastly, I asked for my bill two times. I had to finally get up and pay without the check. I will not be returning.

Very bad service! Waitresses are rude while waiting for a disabled man to order. We would have walked out but we weren’t from the area and we were starving. But we definitely won’t be back!!!

My wife and I were really disappointed. It was our first visit. I read a lot of the positive reviews on Unilocal. The reviews sparked my interest. My wife order the chile verde which was okay. The meat was tender; however, we were disappointed with the flavor of the chile verde. The chile verde portion was small compared to the rice and beans. I ordered my wife a shrimp cocktail which wasn’t all that much better. The shrimp was over cooked and the cocktail lacked flavor. My wife added ketchup which tasted a bit sour. I had the huevos rancheros which were okay. The sauce was green. I was expecting a red sauce. Portions and price were about right. My wife let the staff know she wasn’t happy with her food. The young waitress smeared food from a plate on my wife blouse(left arm). I didn’t see it happen. My wife informed me on the way out the restaurant. We won’t be going back.

When I visit my parents this place is always on the circuit for late lunch or early dinner. Love their salsas. The machaca burrito was good, its hard for me to find a legit machaca(even in Los Angeles)!. I usually opt for tacos or taquitos they really give you generous portions. My parents come here all the time and my dad kills their AYCE offering($ 10.99). You can’t beat their prices or their service, they are always very attentive!

This Mexican spot lived up to its hype. I’ve had several buddies tell me about this place and finally last week I got to give them a try. I heard they had tasty authentic Mexican food and at a good price. True and True! I’ll be back here to try some of the other amazing dishes they have!

Was looking for places to takeout for dinner and decided to Unilocal places near my place and found out about this place. Ample parking spaces just outside the restaurant, and it wasn’t crowded on a weekday evening. I was kinda overwhelmed with over 100 items on the menu, am spoilt for choices that it took me a while to decide what to order. Ordered Carnitas(deep fried pork) that is served with rice and beans($ 9.95). Pork is a little over fried on the outside but the inside saved the dish, it was slightly tender. Rating: 6⁄10 Also ordered Chile Colorado(red chile sauce with beef) that is served with rice and beans($ 9.95). The portion is huge, good for 2 servings. Meat is very tender and very flavorful but would be perfect if they could shred the beef into smaller pieces. Sauce is really good and not too spicy. Rating: 8⁄10 Overall, the food is much better than I expected although price is a little steep for Mexican food but portion is generous. Will be back to try other items on the menu!

The service is kinda like a phở place except without actually having … phở. Anyway, came here for lunch and my coworker and I had the most difficult time trying to read the menu. Basically all the lunch special combos they had weren’t that appealing but if you order a la carte, then you’d be stupid for not ordering lunch special, right?! The pressure was definitely on when the lady came back every minute or so to ask what we wanted but we still had this perplexed look on our faces. BUT… we finally chose our dishes! I’m kind of a pastor buff … and I couldn’t stay away from it despite it being on the a la carte menu and my coworker loves chimichangas so got the chicken one for her lunch special. The chips and salsa were okay– chips were thin and not too greasy and the salsa had nice hefty chunks and a bit watery. But they were free so no big deal. My pastor burrito was pretty big. I’ve had bigger burritos from legit Mexican places and also Chipotle so this was okay-sized when you compare all of them side by side. Otherwise, the pastor was kinda hard. It’s not like the tender soft pastor you get at other places with a crispy exterior here and there. It also wasn’t flavored as well as it could have been and pretty much tasted like salt. The burrito pretty much was rice and beans with meat. The taste got pretty repetitive after a while but you did get some nice orange oil from the pastor soaking into the tortilla. Yay for oil! The chicken chimichanga was pretty small but I guess they were lunch portions coming with a side of rice and beans and guac. It looked pretty unappetizing and after our meal, we both agreed that this place was ok at best, despite their quick and attentive service. The misleading part were the $ 1.50 taco signs… nowhere on the menu did they say that since they were like $ 2.50 a la carte tacos. Maybe you gotta ask them? Because $ 2.50 is ridic for tacos… unless they are massive. Oh, watch out for food coma afterwards! Whew! They also offer AYCE for a lot of items for $ 10.99 but I think I’ll pass next time– their food is pretty filling as is.
