Del Taco

They’re near by. Went there, waited 25 minutes for a taco and burrito. When I asked for the manager, he came to the window, looking like a crack addict, and closed the window and said he would call the cops on me if I remained there. DON’T GO THERE, and if you do, report the night manager as being a total psycho! 1 block down is a taco bell… go there!

This Del Taco has had lousy service since it opened. This morning I pull in the Drive-​Thru to buy a couple of 89 cent breakfast Burritos. 2 cars in front of me and it takes over 10 minutes. The same SUV is at the window most of this time. He finally clears and car in front of me pays cash and gets moving. I also pay cash and they hand me my change and my food, no receipt/​survey. I assume it is in the bag. I get to work and no receipt/​survey in the bag. I was never offered it or asked about it. I am guessing the worthless employees figured out they would get bad reviews. They are smart enough to not give them out. They are right. No review sent to their parent company. Instead, I will let the Unilocal world know that the DT in Monrovia is lousy because employees are more worried about stopping bad surveys than doing a good job. DT should fire the manager and work their way down the list. Lots of good people want to work, no reason to keep the current losers.

This location is very convenient if you want to grab a quick bite to eat then get your car washed. It was very clean here and service was with a smile and pretty quick. I’ll be back next time I need to wash my car.

Lack of attention to their customers. I stood at the counter for several minutes before someone took my order. I was the only person at the counter. I waited for 5 minutes after my food was ready for someone to put it in a bag and turn around and hand it to me. The employees need additional customer service training.

Nothing like grabbing a bite to eat AND getting your car washed on your lunch break. You can accomplish both here! lol

Man their drive through is slow. There are like 2 people working here, and only 3 cars in The drive-​through but still it takes 20 minutes to get my food.
And I asked her soft tacos and got hard tacos too.
Also, several times I have come in here and found, I assume homeless, people sleeping in the booths.

This Del Taco was clean probably because its new. Their staff was fast & friendly.

I have a secret love affair with Del Taco. I don’t go often enough, but when I do, it’s like the most glorious fast food meal I can get. This location looks pretty new and is extremely clean. I’m equidistant from three locations and wanted to try this one out for the first time. The other locations are not as modern or clean so this place earned some points for that.
When I came here, it was relatively empty granted it was around 8PM at night. I placed my order for a double cheese burger, the french fries with everything imaginable on it, and a couple of tacos. Everything came out quickly and tasted great. No complaints with anything.
Del Taco is such a guilty pleasure and I seldom eat it. I wouldn’t hesitate to eat at this location even if it was farther from where I am, I would definitely make the extra effort based on the cleanliness alone. I will be back… it’s about time for some guilty pleasure goodness.

Always quick service at 11 PM they start serving breakfast tacos. The sausage is that in the bacon

just drive through today order their combo #7 (two fish tacos), long line, but I am patient, finally my turn to pick up, worker asked «any saurce? ». I reply «no, thanks «just the lemons, her: is inside already «. than i rush back to work, open & eat in my car (only have 30 minutes lunch break) how sad when i realized inside my fish tacos: no lemons at all, I search & search, nothing! not even one lemon!
I am very disappointed! how can fish taste good without the lemons! :(piss me off!

I really didn’t want to stop in here because last time was not so good:(and I said I would never come back.
So I said let’s give them a go and boy it was worth it, food and service outstanding:)
They were very professional and fast.
I had my heart set for real good Del Taco and now I’m in love with Del Taco Monrovia.
I love the Macho combo and soft chicken taco. The French fries are great you can taste them and when you pick up one its like 6 or7 of the other guys.
That’s it Del Taco food you can taste.
The others TB, Mc’d, C Jrs, warm food not hot nor fresh like Del Taco.

This location began my long overdue mild sauce-​based rating series of the fantastic Del Taco. Just remember, even a ¹⁄₅ mild sauces Del is better than virtually anywhere else.
The Monrovia location is what I expect my Del to be: everything they advertise. The food was fresh, prompt and hot. Preparation could have been a little bit less sloppy though it wasn’t bad. They also had a slight error in a person in our group’s order but corrected it right away. The restaurant was clean and comfortable, I’ll definitely be back! ³⁄₅ mild sauces.

I come here mainly to bring my sister because she likes it I only like the grilled chicken tacos and fries. Everything else I’ve tried I haven’t liked. The last few times some of my fries have been under cooked still hard so I can’t even finish them all, and some are very crispy. I think maybe the settings on the deep fryer my be off I’m not sure. For this I’m giving 3 stars.

Why am I reviewing Del Taco??? Because the old memories of tasteless burritos and crappy crinkle cut fries have been washed away by their re-​vamped menu over the years.
I was pleasantly surprised by their Epic burrito menu. It was like a cleaner Americanized version of Taco King’s combination burrito.
Their hot sauce was surprisingly hot. Love it! So much better than what I remembered…packets of red dye number #40 vinegar.
But no matter how much progress they’ve made. . I will never succumb to the evil that is.. the crinkle cut fry. It’s like lunch time in elementary all over again.

Worst fast food place ever! I was so sad when I found out they were opening a del taco right in front of where I work! Why couldn’t it anything else? I’ve only been to one del taco other than this one and the food was nasty! It tasted so fake!
I work at the car wash that’s in the same parking lot as del taco but since the food was so nasty at their other location I never wanted to try this one. However, since this del taco is new, they had a promotion in which they gave all of the workers from local business coupons for free food. Since my co workers all got free del taco I decided to give them another try, it was gonna be free anyway. I got the cheeseburger combo and it was good, or so I thought. It wasn’t even 20 minutes before I started feeling sick! My coworkers also got sick from their food!
I thought for sure I would never go back to del taco after two bad experiences. However, I didn’t bring my car to work today and we get a short lunch so I decided to walk to del taco. I got the steak nachos, and oh my goodness, they are horrible!!! They literately use the cheese that they used to serve at the cafeteria in elementary school! The «steak» has a weird whitish color to it and it tasted disgusting. They are just overall nasty!!! Customer service is not bad but it’s not good either.
I give them one star because I can’t give 0 and because their strawberry lemonade is actually really good. I will never come back here for food but I might stop by before work to get one of their lemonades.
Overall I say DO NOT COME HERE!!! Unless you are starving and have no where else to go, and even in that situation I would rather starve than eat their food!

This place is ok. Sometimes they’ve gotten orders wrong. But it was never my order. Always my roommates order. *shrugs* Cause I don’t order all crazy complicated shit. It’s del taco, not starbucks. Someone did kinda cram my quesadilla in the bag. *del shrugs*
The only thing I would suggest is to change the menu order around or the position of the mic.

The place is still clean and stylishly decorated. I ordered a double cheeseburger combo and it was good. Somehow I remember the hamburgers or cheeseburgers tasted so much better in the 1980’s as opposed to today. Cant quite put my finger on it. Also the double cheeseburger looked so small compared to the pictures on the menu and ads. However, the double cheeseburger is good – not great. The service was great. I really like the outdoor seating and the interior seating (where I sit) is very nice and spacious.

Forgot to order my taco WITHOUT hair. it was strung through the top like a condiment. This will be a turn off for a LONG TIME!

I have been coming to Del Taco since I was a child. I used to frequent the one on Rosemead and Del Mar – yep, the one that used to be a Naugles – but it is now a Starbucks. I was pleased when this location opened up so close to my home.
I am writing this review from the restaurant on my third visit. I had previously only come through the drive thru, but my companions wanted to go inside, so here I am.
Since the building is new, of course the place is clean; however, the place is not merely clean: it is aesthetically pleasing. The lighting, the layout, and the color scheme all work together to create a soothing and enjoyable dining experience.
The staff are friendly and efficient, and they work hard to make sure that everyone is happy. Dirty tables are cleared quickly, and as I type, a woman continually patrols the floor sweeping up any garbage that may find its way to the floor.
If you like Del Taco’s food, give this place a try. If not, consider dropping by for a drink and their free WiFi.

Brand new Del Taco. Looks great with plenty of seating. Food is the same as always albeit on the cold side. Friendly service etc.
However; took 20 minutes for our food. Not what you would call the Del Taco style. Asked for a manager but there wasn’t one. Asked for an assistant manager but there wasn’t one. Only had a shift leader who was working the food line while a few other employees (cashiers and buser) stood around not really doing much.
So, as I’ve stated this before I’ll have to go back when things are up and running and people have actually been trained properly.
