It was good. Had a good soup, very fresh and tasty. My girlfriend had the chicken with brown rice and a salad. She loved it! Will definitely go back

Not sure what happened to the quality of the chicken but it’s truly drier than dry. Be prepared to wait for your food. Definitely not coming back after being a patron for many years.

COMPLETELYADDICTED to their Chinese chicken salad and glass noodles. Their salad has just the right amount of crunch and chicken and dressing and their glass noodles are sooo yummy. Enough said. Reasonably priced and the portions are generous. I definitely go out of my way to go to this place when I’m having a mean craving for something healthy

I love their side dishes. Everytime I go there, I order the Chinese chicken salad with a side of sprouts. I mix the Siracha and Soy Sauce in the Seseme dressing and put it on top. It’s the best salad!!! Lots of people like their spicy soup. It’s always fresh and they make it to order, so it’s simple and a great lunch place!

Not sure what happened but the chicken they serve is now dryer than ever! Takes over 10 minutes to get your meal, and it’s definitely not worth the wait. Their menu has been simplified but it does not mean it’s worth going!

I really tried to give this place a try but everytime i go im disappointed. I like how you can walk up and order fast but other than that nothing great to say. Their place is called Teri & Yaki yet their terriyaki chicken is awful. Everytime I get it it tastes rubbery n chewy which is just too gross to me, and whenever I go in there no one else is there, go figure.

I love that you can get brown rice with your meal and that white breast meat chicken — cooked fresh when you order it — is the standard.(Although I love their beef, too.) The chicken can sometimes be dry but that’s common almost anywhere with breast meat. I’m not a spinach-lover but for some reason I love the spinach here(it comes cold) and always order it as a side if I get the chicken. When I want to go vegetarian for a light lunch(and pretty cheap at just under $ 5), I order two sides of glass noodles — so good! — and a side of broccoli and mix them up. I see other people with salads but have never ordered them. For my drink, I get an iced tea from Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf two doors away and take it in with me.

This is the second time I’ve been here and once again I was not impressed. I had to wait like 5 minutes longer for my food than my friend who ordered with me even though we ordered the same thing. The chicken itself was only«Ehh» and after taking one bite of my broccoli side dish, I left the rest there because the flavor was god awful(in my opinion) — unless you happen to like a vinegar sesame taste. Is it supposed to be cold? Horrible. But my main issue is that we originally went there with the intention of sitting outside on the patio and everything had already been packed up and brought inside(it was still bright daylight at 5pm). So, we had to sit inside. I do not agree that this place is clean, because the tables had a sticky film over them with linty napkin particles stuck to it. The whole place just seemed a little grimy to me. The only plus was that the guy who took my order seemed nice and was helpful. All-in-all, I’m saying«No» next time my friend wants to go here. Yoshinoya please!

I think the reason why it’s never crowded here is because the food is NOTTHATGOOD. Even Yoshinoya is better on many items! Plus this place is a little pricey for what you get(and the quality of the cooking). For the same chicken/beef/bowls, I would suggest going down to Bento-ya in Arcadia for a much fresher, more authentic taste.

I love this place but I don’t know why others don’t. This place has been open since like 2001 or 02 and it is never busy. Never! If you haven’t tried the chinese chicken salad, please do. It is so good and a good price. The other dishes are basically chicken and /or beef and you pick the sides. Some of the sides are spicy cucumbers, and spinich I belive as well as several others. I don’t really know as I always get the salad. It’s pretty clean food also so if you don’t want a bunch of fried grease try this place.

This is not your typical Asian fast food joint. Their food is much more fresh and they have great healthy sides, like broccoli and spinach. Their food isn’t anything stellar, but because they’re really fast(considering they cook everything to order), it boosts up their rating a bit. I’ll be back to try other menu items for sure!

One thing I like about this place is they are pretty fast and the chicken and beef is always cooked after you order. They have good side dishes. Try the spicy asian slaw, spicy cucumber, or seasoned spinach. You can order double portions of beef or chicken if you think a single portion won’t be enough. The potstickers(fried dumplings) are pretty good also. The restaurant is always clean, the food fresh and the service is prompt. Parking can be a problem as they share the lot with several other businesses. I recommend this place if you want teriyaki with rice and noodles and a couple of sides. You can get a good portion for a fair price. If Teriyaki isn’t your thing then just request ‘no sauce’. The chicken is good plain as well. 4 stars for above average fast food fare. Pros: Cleanliness. Portions. Service. Value. Cons: Parking sometimes a pain.

When I walked in, there was nobody in sight. I liked how I was compelled enough to say«Herro?» and it echoed throughout the restaurant.(there weren’t any patrons inside. hmm…) anyways, about a minute after staring at their menu.(which is full of chicken items), this guy comes sauntering out from the back room. «Hey dude, can I getchu anything?» «Uhh, sure, I’ll get the vegetarian combo.» «Aight.» The vegetarian combo consists of: 1. Overcooked, mushy chow mein, 2. A heap of white rice smothered in teriyaki sauce(which is more YAKI than TERI, and 3. Kimchee spinach and some kind of spicy cucumber salad.(Pretty good.) Not exactly amazing overall, but it was only $ 4.75, so. bah.

Teri & Yaki isn’t exactly my favorite place, but it’ does the trick. But believe me, if I were more than 2 blocks from this place — I probably wouldn’t come here as often as I do. The pricing is a bit high for Chicken, and the amount they serve — but it sure is yummy! The grilled chicken is just the right amount of juicy, the spinach is amazingly delicious, the glass noodles are scrumptious. A few things to stay away from: dont’ get the extra chicken — it really isn’t that much more ‘extra’ for the $ 2.50, pass up on the gyozas. — if they’re not burnt, they’re not cooked thoroughly. Additionally, if you can — don’t eat in. The setup is so strange. Think cafeteria style where you’re sharing a long table of six with other lunch goers. And it’s kinda dark!

I’ve been going to Teri & Yaki in the city of Monrovia off and on for a couple of years now, but after having lunch there this past Saturday, I finally decided to give it a review and share some photos of the food. Teri & Yaki originally positioned itself as a chicken only teriyaki house. Now they also serve beef teriyaki, but for me, it’s all about the chicken whenever I eat there. Normally, I’m not much of a teriyaki person. Whenever I’ve ordered any kind of teriyaki dish, I’ve always found the sauce to be overly sweet, so I pretty much gave up on teriyaki sauce as a whole. However, when I first tried the chicken teriyaki at Teri & Yaki awhile back, I finally found the teriyaki sauce of my dreams. The sauce still had some sweetness to it, but not overly so and there was also that hint of soy sauce saltiness that balanced it all out for me. To this day, the only time I’ll eat teriyaki anything is at Teri-Yaki. It also didn’t hurt that the chicken even the white meat is moist. What I also really like are the various side dishes you can order with your chicken teriyaki. I can never decide so I usually end up getting 3 sides of either the spicy slaw, spicy cucumber, cold bean sprouts or the seasoned spinach and end up taking home leftovers. The vegetables always seem really fresh to me regardless of what time of day that I have my meal there. Although I don’t find the spicy slaw or spicy cucumber that spicy, I still like that tang and hint of hotness of whatever chili sauce they use for those two sides and the bean sprouts usually have a nice crunchy nutty taste to them which I always enjoy. With all these particular sides being cold, I can appreciate the flavors differently from the teriyaki chicken. Overall, Teri-Yaki may not necessarily be a destination place, but I enjoy it time after time, because the food is consistently good, fresh and then of course, there’s my favorite teriyaki sauce.
