We went in for a ice coffee. It was surprisingly tasted awful. I don’t know it’s something wrong with the half and half or just the coffee. So my husband went to counter and they were happy to exchange a ice latte for me(we got 30 dollars gift card deal)! Great customer service! Clean bathroom, tons of space for reading! Lovely!

Location, location, location! Coffee is good and the store is clean, well organized and it has a nice layout. Baristas are welcoming and friendly! Seating is available inside or outside. Parking is ample and it is within walking distance of old town Monrovia. I love coming here and it’s always a treat to get some great tasting drinks! :)

Service here in the morning is great. Love Judith, the nice lady at the counter, and whoever makes the Hazelnut Americano in the morning makes it right. Karla and her female barista friend today, on the other hand — terrible service and unprofessional. I asked for my usual — the Hazelnut Americano, but it tasted different, so she said she’d make it again. She looked at me like I was crazy, assumed I mixed up my drink with the Hazelnut latte, and then after giving me my drink, proceeded to loudly complain and make fun of me to her friend Karla(«This isn’t Starbucks») without realizing I was still there, sitting near the counter. The man with them, whoever he was, was smiling when I went up to confront them about being unprofessional as they lied through their teeth. I don’t know who they pick in the afternoon, but the workers here need some professional development or at least learn to complain about customers in the back room. Just wanted my usual great service and good cup of coffee, only to get the complete opposite.

WAYBETTER than the other Coffee Bean location down the road off Huntington. The service here is much better, the ambiance is nicer, and the drinks are always made quickly and correctly.

Post workout green tea needed badly so what place better than one that has the words«tea leaf» in its name?! Parking is more readily available in the back so you may find it easier access than from Myrtle. I ordered a hot green tea, a mini old fashion donut that caught my eye and a cheese/fruit/cracker kit. I know it was an odd combination of items, but my metabolism was working double. First, the green tea was awesome! The tea they use has bigger leaf pieces and utilizes the corn silk tea bags that don’t give off a taste or particles like the paper tea bags. The green tea was strong but delicious and very fresh tasting. The barista was nice enough to add some crushed ice on top because I didn’t want it too hot since I just worked out! The cheese/cracker/fruit kit was fresh, of high quality, and a perfect healthy snack albeit a bit pricey $ 4.99. The mini donut was carb heaven! It was sweet cakey goodness that satisfied the Sarlacc monster in my belly. I was extremely happy with my purchases. Service was quick and friendly!

I’m not too crazy about the coffee here, but I do like their teas. The staff is very friendly and this location is super clean and big. I love the outdoor seating here and the big tables inside. They are also located next to a log of businesses, so you can always grab a drink and walk down Myrtle. Plenty of parking in the back and some street parking also, and a church across the street if you feel like praying, or listening to the bells.

I am so thankful this is so close to where I’m working this year. Beautiful location! I’m going to have to retract my previous statement about the new CBTL by my house being my favorite location. Shhhh hahah. The employees are welcoming and friendly. The interior is very clean, spacious, and organized. Idk why but I like the layout of the building too. There is also gorgeous outside seating. Free parking in the back. And most importantly, my coffee was made to perfection this morning. I will be a regular this year, and I will be sad when my placement is over! The only thing missing is a drive thru, but honestly the inside is nice. I ain’t even mad :)

Came here this past Sunday for a little dessert treat. I ordered the ice mocha blended and I asked to have it with no whip cream which they have to me either way :( I also ordered the reduced fat chocolate chip twist that was actually pretty good because it did not have that taste when food has less sugar lol. I would have enjoyed it more if they were able to warm the pastry and not served cold.

My first time visiting this Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf — my interest in the coffee shop grew while I was living in Hawaii. Good location, plenty of parking in the back/opposite side of Myrtle Avenue and the staff was friendly. Our drinks didn’t take too long to make. If it wasn’t so cold I would have drank my coffee outside but I’m still not used to this weather after 6 years in Hawaii. But all in all, I love this Coffee Bean.

My little caffeine shop, Coffee here is much better then anyone else in the city and they smile. Taste fresh not burnt like others across street. Always come here now so I know it’s consistent. I can’t speak for the other coffee bean in the city but this store is great.

One of the best coffee beans in the area — plenty of indoor seating and patio seating. Great friendly service. Always clean. Parking in the back and street parking. Shares patio with yogurt land which is nice.

I’m a pretty die hard Starbucks dude so sitting at Coffee Bean is like trying out another religious denomination. This place is a gem of a coffee shop on Myrtle Street and an excellent and convenient starting point on any venture into Old Town Monrovia. (Plus, it’s a great place to park, grab a coffee and then explore the rest of Old Town Monrovia, especially on Friday Nights when they have their Farmers Market and parking is tough.) My favorite spot is the long communal table. It’s always empty, at least whenever I’m there and gets all the best sunlight if you’re there at just the right time during the late afternoon. Though this may be a pain point for the store(because businesses want business), this is a great place to lounge, read or study because it never gets overly crowded and chaotic like most Starbucks stores. With many residences that are adjacent to the store, and Old Town Monrovia down the street, a lot of regulars frequent this place which explains why the baristas are so genuinely nice and are great with remembering your name. True, they wrote it on my drink but when they announced«James! Red Eye with an add shot!» It felt like the relationship could have been something more. I’m trying to be funny and I can tell it’s not working so I’ll stop before this gets blind date creepy. WI-FI: Pretty solid. They have a code that is displayed on their mounted flat screen TV. Pretty convenient. You will have to log in again after 2 hours so periodically save your work. ADJACENT: Von’s, Yogurtland, Blaze Pizza, Urbane Salon, and Old Town Monrovia. TIP: Don’t make a joke about Starbucks when ordering. The baristas get that all the time. It’s like going on a date with a brunette and joking on about your preference for blondes.

April 5, 2014 I love Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. It’s been so long since I have found a location nearby me since there are so many branches of Starbucks around. After our hike at the Monrovia Canyon, my cousin and sister decided to look for a coffee spot to do some more girl talk. I found COFFEEBEAN! Parking is difficult, but worth it because I love their drinks. I ordered the Tea Latte(medium) and my sister ordered their latte(small). Goodness, it’s been so long since I’ve had their drinks and I remember why I miss it so much Great place to study if you do not want to be at a super busy and packed Starbucks. Their drinks are cheaper and way more satisfying that Starbucks. I feel like I can get lighter drinks with less calories here than Starbucks.

When I do frequent a coffee place, I usually prefer a non-chain place, but this Coffee Bean is in a convenient location, so I have stopped in a few times for tea. There is parking in the back or along the street and you will walk a block. But a stroll in Old Town Monrovia is always pleasant. I like the varieties of herbal tea blends they offer. Always something nice to pick from. I also like the large outside seating area in the front and the roomy space inside. The only time I have tried a food offering, it was not too good. A coconut cake of some sort and it was dry, dry with no filling, so also kinda boring.
