This place doesn’t even deserve one star. This place is a perfect example of a company trying to rob vacationers and not giving a shit about customer service. After the dunes resort company messed up our original reservations at the sun and sound hotel they«upgraded» us to this shit hole. After an hour and a half of waiting for our new room we FINALLY got into our room at 10:30, and after a long car ride I had too pee and was absolutely appalled when I saw the MULTIPLE piss stains all over the toilet. The tub had soap residue on the sides from the previous people, the coffee cups had stains and literally chunks of some soft yellow substance on them. The customer service was absolutely horrendous and could only offer us a 30% discount on one night of our stay. I can’t stress enough how terrible the experience was and how little they cared. Wish I read the reviews before they stuck us here. The only«comforting words» the manager, Sasha, could offer us was that if it wasn’t clean and we werent happy we shouldn’t have stayed there, knowing that we drove 3 hours, missed dinner reservations due to the hotel messing up our reservations and waiting over an hour to be moved to a different hotel and only walking in the door at 10:30, when we had no other options but to stay there or drive 3 hours back home and completely abandon our vacation.

Stayed this weekend with a group of friends. Sheets in bed had sand and a blood stain on pillowcase. When asked for sheets to be changed we were told the stain was«rust», no apology. Sheets in pullout couch had a lipstick, bobby pins and hair, we were told the sheets were changed but obviously not. At time of check out we were told it would be a $ 10 fee for our bags to be held. No clean pool towels were provided. We stayed last summer and had a better experience. Not coming back next summer. Terrible customer service, we should have got part of our money back.

Stay away! The room smells like something died in there. I can’t get the smell out of my nose. We paid $ 180 for a room that’s not worth $ 29.99. The beds feel like your sleeping on a cardboard box. They put the tv on a side wall so you can’t even view it from bed. And to top it off the WIFI is broken. The A/C was extremely loud and we had people running around above us all night. One of the worst overpriced rooms I’ve ever stayed in.

My expectations were low but I was still surprised by how terrible my experience was at the Wave Inn. The rooms were damp, unattractive, noisy, and expensive. The customer service was probably the worst I’ve ever encountered. The staff seemed irritated by our presence. We arrived at the office at 1:30pm on Friday. We had just come off a red-eye plane ride, and 3 hours on a bus and it was pouring rain outside. We called earlier in the week to see if we were able to get an early check-in and were told maybe. When we arrived we were told that none of the rooms were ready and they sent us back out into the torrential rain — shivering and exhausted. I understand that check-in starts at 3pm but I have a hard time believing that they were COMPLETELY full on Thursday night and that they hadn’t finished cleaning ANY of the rooms 2 ½ hours after check out. All of this would have been easier to swallow if it had been delivered with an ounce of sympathy. When we returned to check in a couple hours later the woman checking us in rolled her eyes when we asked for a second key and snapped at us when we asked her for the bags she had stored.

What a bad experience! I had booked the studio suite with room for 4 or more for a girls weekend away they had confirmed the booking via email and then again over the phone the day before we had the booking. The day of the booking while driving to montauk I received a call at 4pm checkin time is 3pm saying there was a problem with the room and they would have to set us up at another property which turned out to have less bed space and only $ 90 cheaper. We had payed in full when booking. This is unacceptable they didn’t seem to really care about the inconvience and made no real apologies. We ended up staying at The Beachcomber which was lovely but alot more expensive. I was so disappointed to know that a hotel could just do this and not give a shit. We were refunded our money but they should have gone out of there way to accomadate us even giving us a coupon or voucher as a way of apology… Horrible customer service stay clear!

It’s fine if you need a place to crash in montauk, that’s it! there was no mirror in the bathroom for example! it’s just a room, not that clean, not that nice but it does the job and it’s in a great location…

Stayed here in July for a girls weekend trip. 2 full bed room was $ 250/night(but should have cost no more than $ 60/nite). We spent minimal time in here(thank god), but when we did, we had an incense stick going the entire time to get rid of the nasty motel smell. The pool was only occupied by screaming kids so I imagine it was about 75% urine(needless to stay, none of us went in there). There was no continental breakfast as another Unilocaler mentioned. The walls were paper thin — I heard kids jumping on the 2nd floor(seemingly, off the bed, onto the floor, off the bed, onto the floor) at 2AM. Also, the porch lights are extremely bright(and the blinds in our room were broken) so if you are sensitive to light while trying to sleep, bring an eye cover — or chose another spot!

DISGUSTING!!! unless rooms that smell like cat pee are your thing. i was working and didn’t have another option to change where i was staying. thankfully it was only one night. it had ants. it actually stank so bad that i ended up waking up in the middle of the night and couldn’t go back to sleep until i put a clean(thank god) wash cloth over my nose. its one of those places that you can only imagine what’s on the bed. ick! and the chain link fenced pool area is rather depressing. stay at ocean resort inn. same price believe it or not. they don’t have a depressing pool, but you’ve got the ocean 1 min away

If you’re looking for a place to hang your head while you experience Montauk, this isn’t a bad place, as long as you don’t plan on spending much time in your room. We stumbled upon this place located in the village on Montauk. It’s located about a block from the beach and right in the middle of town which were bonuses. It’s pricey for what you are getting, but it seems like everything in Montauk is. We went during the week and got a decent rate — they actually reduced it by $ 60 off the original rate; for $ 200. Try and negotiate if you can. You’ll likely be able to get a better rate than what you see online or what they offer. The rooms are tiny efficiencies or suites as they call them, offering refrigerators, microwaves and a small living room and bedroom. While they said they were recently renovated, they’re nothing to write home about. The beds are uncomfortable and the rooms smell musty, like most beachy motels. The place is basic, but was clean. Not at all worth the money you’ll be spending, but not terrible if you are just looking for a place to sleep for the night. I would not recommend if you plan to stay for more than 24 hours. They don’t offer beach towels or chairs, but do provide towels for the pool, which you cannot take to the beach(bizarre), so make sure to bring your own. They did offer a complementary continental breakfast, but we didn’t take advantage.
