This motel is one of Montauk’s hidden gems. Not only is Ron, the manager, one of the most accommodating and nice hotel staff I’ve ever met, but the setting is of the most beautiful in the country. The only reason for us not staying here again will be owning our own property in the area. We have been here two consecutive weekends and we would come back every weekend if we could.

Clean, spacious, affordable and conveniantly located right across from the beach! This spot doesn’t have very many photos online but trust me, it is perfect for a reasonably priced family vacation to an otherwise very pricey Montauk! My mother booked a private cabin at Burcliffe for 2 nights. It was about $ 300/night. We had two rooms, the first had two twin beds and the second had two queen size beds. There was also a queen sized pull out couch in the living room. The price is for 4 people and then it’s $ 25 extra per person. This is a great option for two couples traveling together or a family. We had six people and a toddler and it was a perfect amount of space for us. There is a full kitchen with a fridge, freezer, stove, microwave and a toaster. Outside there is a grill, patio table, two lawn chairs and a clothesline. Bring smore’s material and grill utensils. Request the first cabin as it is a two bedroom space directly across the street from the beach! There is also a one bedroom space that offers more privacy too towards the back of the property. Warning: There is no pool but the water is right there and you can probably sneak into a pool at a hotel down the road. Helpful Hint: Eat by Gosman’s Dock, follow the road to Montauk Harbor. See the Lighthouse(don’t need to pay the $ to go inside it’s $ 8 plus $ 6 parking fee) and Gosman’s Dock. Other than that, this is the perfect place to stay for a weekend trip on Eastern Long Island. Bring your own food to cook out and save money and enjoy the peace and quiet!
