Absolutely not satisfied with the service. Ordered one dish but another was served. The waitress blamed on my friend’s accent… which is beyond rudeness…

Just had the spinach, goat cheese and egg white wrap. It was ok. The wrapping was flaky but had good flavor. This place is really great for their pastries. Love the almond horseshoe dipped in chocolate. So sweet! The cappuccino is good. Coffees are just ok. A good place overall for a quick breakfast or sweet craving.

Great view… diner food. It felt like I was eating in a greasy diner with the fake stone adorning the walls along with the large expanses of mirror along the wall of moldy old booths. The brunch menu is unfortunate and lacking which is handed to you along with their lackluster lunch menu on Sundays. The menu is an absolute mess with various items from pizza to paninis to linguine with clam sauce. Exactly what I wasn’t looking for on a Sunday morning. With the extremely lame seafood options I settled on the steamed live lobster. About 5 minutes after I ordered the waitress returned to tell me they only have 2 lb lobsters to which i replied«fine»(knowing i was going to be in for a chewy lobster). Another 5 minutes passes and the waitress returns again saying that«actually there are no live lobsters but I can get the fresh lobster salad with arugula». I guess Gurneys treats their patrons like morons. How the hell do they have fresh lobster salad if they don’t have fresh lobsters. I don’t want old frozen lobster thrown on a plate with mayonnaise when I’m sitting literally 35 steps from the ocean. This place is a total pass and I almost feel sorry for whoever or whatever delusional being runs this pathetic food establishment. Great location, awful food. best maxta p

Just leaving Montauk, stopped off on the way out for breakfast at Gurneys. Thought it would be like the in season old big buffet. Not the case. No one was up or in there early off season. Next to that is Café Monte. A light casual café that was open early in off season for breakfast with large glass windows and nice views of the Atlantic Ocean. Food? Just ok. Think 3 stars for dining, 5 for location, and nice people. Pleasant place to have a quiet breakfast with full service and a great view. Not crowded at all in the morning. Guests at the hotel must have still been sleeping.
