The Splash Pad – Alma Hoffman

The Splash Pad at Alma Hoffman park looks awesome. Unfortunately, it’s only open on weekends and as a work-​at-​home mom, summer weekdays are when I’m trying to find things to keep my kids entertained. :(

Visited the park with my two year old nephew and he loved it. The splash pad is only open on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 – 6 pm. The lifeguards on duty yell but only because they need to be heard. The rules seem reasonable — most of them make sense. There’s no running and sliding at the splash pad (to avoid injuries) and that’s kind of a bummer because what kid wouldn’t want to do that?
While we waited, we played on the awesome playground complete with swings, slides and mountain climbing walls. There’s even a playground designed for kids 2 – 5 years of age, but he loved the big kid area. There is a lot of grass, a skate park, tennis courts and a basketball court. It looked really clean and I was happy with the park. I would definitely recommend this park and splash pad on hot, sunny days!

Splash Pad is in a great area! Very clean and organized, lots of shade to hang out and watch your kids play in the play ground or get wet at the pad.
My daughter enjoys herself here regularly.
What more is there to say for a free mini water park?

Wow came to this park the other day with my mom and sister in law to scoop it out for a birthday party. Been to this park one before and it was nice and clean and very secluded. Let me just say I didn’t even want to get out of the car. The parking lot is spacious, that’s the only good thing I saw there was trash everywhere, the splash pad was closed and look broken. the park itself was very crowded. I was just very disappointed after and expected so much more.

Great park for kids! My sons loved both the splash pad and the play area. Very clean. Love the soft flooring rather than bark or sand around the play area. Only wish there were more shaded picnic areas and shaded park benches.

Best park in the area: tennis court, basketball court, skate park, splash pad and play area. Love it!
