A couple of days after I posted this review, and one on their website as well, I got a call from the«manager.» He was apologetic and said he had spoken to the employee(and she of course denied any wrongdoing). He invited us to come back and have another meal on him and said he would send me something in the mail. It has now been over a month and I have received nothing.

Drive thru on a Sunday night, in a hurry cause The Walking Dead is gonna start, and this Wienershnitzel was fast and efficient! Ordered that 5 corn dog, 5 chili dog special and it was out in a jiffy! Even when I added on those new chili cheese curly fries, they didn’t blink and I didn’t have to wait too long either. Corn dogs were perfectly fried, the chili on the dogs didn’t taste old at all, and the buns were perfectly steamed. Only negative was they forgot to give us mustard, but then again, maybe we forgot to ask?

Wienerschnitzel, a 1970’s staple of the American diet, continues to keep their products delicious. The dogs were hot, the chili awesome, and the cheese melted in all the right places. The fries were very good too, if you enjoy the classic style. In regards to the customer service, the employees were welcoming and professional. This visit was quick and it satisfied my craving for chili cheese dogs!

The manager is great and is very respectful. The restaurant seemed clean, the food is on par with other Wienerschnitzles. I like having not too much Chili on my fries, since it is pretty heavy. Go in the morning when the managers around to avoid the nighttime douches. Maybe I just went on a day that had everything clean and everything freshly cooked?

We roll up at 9:45PM after watching the Reign beat up on Colorado for some chili dogs @.99 cents. Sign says they dining room is open until 10. BUT the doors are locked. I knock and guy says NO you have to use the drive thru. WHY post a sign that says dinning room open until 10 if you lock the doors before 9:45? WHY ? We live about 20 mins away so bringing them home is a bad idea. They didnt get my money We didnt get any chilidogs They did get this bad review We will take this off the list of potential stops after a Reign game since we cannot count on them to follow their own posted hours.

What can I say. This is a typical Wienerschnitzel. Just like that other guy said. I do think that compared to some of the locations closer to where I live, this one is subpar. While the chili cheese dog was about the same, the chili cheese burger tasted off. I didn’t even eat the whole thing, because it just was weird. I couldn’t put my finger on what was wrong, but maybe it was«old». When you really consider the price, it is a much better deal to go across the street to Costco and get yourself a 100% beef dog and a drink for $ 1.50. For the price of a combo at Der Wiener, you can even add a slice of pizza pie to your Costco dog and drink, and still save a bit.

Typical Wienerschnitzel. Food was good, plenty of seating and fairly clean inside. I didn’t check the bathroom. One thing that did strike me was that the cashier, a teenage young man, went right for his smart phone as soon as there were no customers. I’ve always preached that if you have time to lean, you have time to clean! I guess it’s a generational thing.

The Good: The food is cheap. The Bad: It usually tastes old. Reheated fries, oily and greasy never sit well. They are selfish on the chili and when they aren’t its mostly all over the box and not nearly as much as it should be on the actual food. The Ugly: I realize this is a fast food joint and I don’t expect«top dollar» service from junk food servers like one of the previous reviewers called it. There is a huge difference from decent fast food service which we all deserve regardless of the use of coupons and a look that says«I hate your effin’ guts and I hope you realize I just mixed some of my diarretic feces in your chili.» I paid with a card and the employee seemed irritated, sighed deeply and slammed the glass then locked it. Perhaps he was upset because he can’t skim a little off the top from a credit card charge? The Summary: The food and service was nowhere near what it is now. It used to be delicious, and the service was awesome but like most other places around Montclair, as soon as the property values dropped and all the lowlifes moved in… the service and food they were accustomed to came with them.

This might be the worst customer service place I’ve ever been to! First of all, the workers have that look of…“WTF…I’m I doing here? and WTF… do you want now?” attitude. They questioned our coupon and under portion our«Buy one and one Free» meal! I guess these workers are rejects from the McDonald’s Job Fair ! See Yah… Wouldn’t want to be Yah ! Tommy’s here I come! Try Wienerschnitzel on Central & Philadelphia instead.
