Larry’s Army & Navy

Larry’s is the best Army and Navy surplus store in the region. I used to live an hour or so away, but have been coming here for years when I needed something. (I remember their old location.) Larry (the guy who is always there, guessing that is his name!) is friendly and has been willing to look into special ordering items for me in the past. The selection here ranges from new merchandise to used surplus to collectible items, both American and foreign. There is just a ton of stuff here. I moved out of the area, and I miss this place.

We stopped in here after seeing a billboard for this place on the side of I-​75. We pulled into the parking lot, wondering if it was open because there was only one other vehicle in the lot. We got out, wandered over to the entrance, and pulled the door open. The man working was really friendly and helpful. I found two bags that I absolutely adore. One is a green messenger style bag that can convert into a backpack, and the other is a blue little bag. My boyfriend purchased an awesome trucker hat with the phrase «if you have it, a trucker helped you get it there» with the picture of a truck (an homage to his father). And he also picked up a good quality knife for a great deal.
Aside from the things we purchased, this place was filled with to the ceiling with so many things. The clothing/​attire, the bags, and hats are all legitimate. With so many companies trying to emulate the military style, it’s hard to believe that people don’t go right to the source. The prices are unbeatable and anything you buy will be sure to last a lifetime.
