THIS PLACE IS CLOSING.
I think I will miss this place. Well other than the lousy customer service, they had some really cute clothes here. I’ve bought a handful each year and I’m sort of sad to see this store gone.
They are having the 75% off everything sale and I took the advantage and bought a few items. As I’m updating my review, there isn’t much selection left aside from dresses/​belts. Almost everything has been sold out.
Well, I don’t want to leave bloom in bad memories so I’ll give it a last 5 star rating.

I used to covet coming to the montebello mall so I could go to bloom, but now I can’t say that I will be back. At first everything was fine, the lady in charge of the fitting room was appropriately chatty and she helped me make some decisions on what I wanted, I decided to go for a halter dress ($ 37) Light pull over sweater ($ 21) burgundy long skirt ($ 14) crop top ($ 20) and a black lace shirt ($ 20) and the total came out to about $ 135. My mom said as I was leaving check the receipt for errors and she was right, they charged me twice for the skirt. I went back to get it fixed, my cashier wasn’t there, so someone else was going to fix it for me, she returned everything and decided to charge me again which seems fine except for the fact that in my account (since I spent $ 130) I now had $ 80 left. Not enough to buy everything, so the lady was like well come back tomorrow. Which left me quite flustered and frankly annoyed. I came back the next day and only spent $ 60 because the money was still not back in my account.
The lady who handled my return should have simply refunded me my $ 14, instead of putting me through the embarrassment of having to come back, they lost 50% of that sale on cashier errors. Can’t say I’m excited to come back any time soon. Luckily they have plus size, and because of limited places to shop I’ll probably go back.

If i could give this store zero stars I would but because I cant I’m giving it a 1. Price tags are missed tagged on most of their clothing. The tags say one price but it rings up a different price. When this happened to someone I know a while back and the manager didn’t do anything I thought maybe it was just because they didn’t know. Came back today and of course it happened to me. (The sales rep who were by the way sitting at the cash wrap the entire time, did not greet customers, didn’t not assist in fitting room nor count items taken in, «go ahead and walk in» from the cash wrap, & did not watch the floor at all.) I informed the cashier that all the shirts were tag this price so she checked the style in the system and gave me an attitude about how «it’s in the system at this price and we can’t do anything about it.» She gave me attitude the whole time and was very rude. I would of purchased the shirts anyways because I liked them but because of the horrible customer service and bad attitude I did not want to buy anything from them. I informed her and the other worker that they should check the tags just to make sure so customers don’t get confused when they are at the register and with am attitude «that’s fine we will check them.» Most likely they won’t because the entire time I was there they never moved from the register. I don’t think I need 2 people to ring me up with a bunch if customers in the store.
Sorry but they should be more alert and beaware and have that red flag alert because anyone could of stole from them and those workers would have not known. Not to mention the store is an entire mess. Same item clothing placed in 3 different locations if the store leaving me to think there was no more of my size until I’m looking around and find it else where. Of course when I asked of they had anymore in my size I get the «that’s everything we have out right there.» No its not because I found it myself… a flirty club top in your sports section.
This store does not know the concept of price override or honoring the price clearly printed on their tags. Have ridiculously poor customer service skills, and workers are rude to customers. The store is cluttered and a mess. I will not be returning to this store again. I’m here to shop and will buy what I like but not at the expense of being disrespected.

If i could give this store 0 stars I could! I’ve worked in retail for many years and this store has the worse customer service ever!!! Not only that their prices are mispriced! If tags are mispriced you are suppose to honor the price that is marked and not argue back with the customer. The associate or who ever my cashier was, said that they couldn’t because it was already put in the system. HELLO! YOU CAN OVER RIDE THE PRICE!! I know in my store if our prices was wrong and a customer noticed it at the register we would check where the item is and see what it was priced as and if it was wrong we honor the price for the customer. I hardly shop in this store for many reasons. They may have cute clothes but you can find it anywhere for a better deal! I recommend not to come into this store!

Dear BLOOM… YOU JUST LOST A CUSTOMER!!!
It was my daughter birthday yesterday 04÷25÷14 who just turn 14. I gave her money so she can go shopping with her friends. She purchased shorts that are in appropriate in my opinion. (SEE PHOTO) So we went back the same day to see if we can EXCHANGE it even though my daughter had told me they did not give her nor her friend a receipt. So I went to see if they would at least understand the situation and if they can make an exception this once to do an exchange without a receipt that was not given to her. According to that girl behind the counter she said «we need the receipt because it has a BAR CODE that we need to scan and we always give receipts»!!! Wha wha what!!! I don’t remember bar codes on the FASHION STORE receipts!!! REALLY!!! Out of all stores my daughter went too she came home with receipts for all of them except for BLOOM!!! I understand store policy but I feel they should be able to understand my situation that its just an exchange not a return!!!

This store definitely applies to girls who want to shop for cute clothes but don’t want to spend as much. They have a plus size section as well, so it applies to girls of every shape and size. I shop here sometimes whenever I come to Montebello Mall, but not all the time.
The staff that work here definitely need some training in energy and customer service. When I went to the fitting room, the voice of the lady who was in charge of the fitting room was so soft that I could barely hear her over the music playing in the store.
When I went to go pay for a tank top I wanted, the cashier seemed like her job was literally sucking the life out of her. I understand if she didn’t like her job or if she had a bad day, but being professional is a bigger priority than being selfish.
If the service was a bit better, I’d shop here more often. I only shop here if I’m low on money and want to find something nice. Other than that, I walk past it.

Too bad you can not select NO STARS! I had by far thee worst experience at a clothing store (in a mall no less) in my life at this store last night!!! (11−13−13) I had went in to this store because I had received a gift card for my birthday back in September. They had closed the store at the West Covina mall so I went where the card was purchased which was at the Montebello Mall. When I went to purchase the clothes I had picked out the sales associate (Jessica) told me that they had a «new system» and that it did not accept this gift card so she had to call the company that deals with the cards to get approval. After about 10 minutes she gets off the phone and tells me they have to look up the card and they will call her back but «she does not know how long it will take for them to get back to her». So I wait and she goes on helping other customers.
After about 10 – 15 minutes of waiting, the phone rings and after she is on the phone with a man named Ken for about 8 minutes, she hangs up and tells me that their was no funds on the card, it was not active. She said that the card used to purchase this gift card had no funds on it. That immediately threw up a red flag because I know my friend always pays cash. She stated that there was nothing she could do and that if I could get the original receipt to bring it to the store so they could look further into it. I asked her for the Corporate number and was told she was not allowed to give me that information! So I pay with my own debit/​credit card for the clothing and immediately contact my friend who purchased the gift card. She gave me the details of when she purchased it. She said she purchased it on September 11, 2013 at approx 2:30pm from an older Asian lady. When I gave this information to Jessica she said «Oh that’s the Manager Grace». She again calls this «card company» (whom handles all the card transactions) and gives them this information.
After another 20 minutes (at least) of waiting and her on the phone with someone now named Kaiser, all of a sudden the card was found and is now Active. Jessica tells me I could use this card at any time to make a purchase. I tell her I wanted to use this gift card now and to refund my debit card so I could use the gift card and I was told she is not allowed to give refunds! ARE YOU KIDDING ME THE ONLY REASON I PAID WITH MY CARD WAS BECAUSE YOU TOLD ME i COULD NOT USE THE GIFT CARD!!! I told her that she needed to contact the manager or whoever to give me my refund. After her calling the Manager Grace, Jessica was told to call this «card company» back. So now Jessica is back on the phone with Kaiser telling him the situation that I want my refund and to use the gift card instead. After another 20 minutes of her on the phone being walked through how to issue a refund, she finally manages to give me a refund receipt but tells me to keep the receipt in case in does not go through because she did not know how to use the machine to issue a refund. So now I have to wait and see if the refund will even go through! HOW DO YOU HAVE EMPLOYEES WORKING IN A STORE THAT DO NOT KNOW HOW TO USE THE DEBIT/​CREDIT MACHINE!
To make matters worse, well Jessica was on the phone being taught how to use this machine I tell her I should get some kind of discount or compensation for having to go through this Hassle she just laughs and smiles (like yeah right). Which I did not get by the way. I know that this was not Jessica’s fault she was just doing what she was told but this was by far the most RIDICULOUS thing I have had to go through to make a purchase. Customer service was HORRIBLE and employees working in the store should be trained in ALL AREAS! I have never written a Unilocal review this is a 1^st and usually do not bother with little mistakes but this had to be written down and I will continue to pursue this with the Corporate office.

!!!BEWARE!!! They try to steal customers money. I purchased a gift card for my friend on Sept. 11^th, 2013 approx. 2:30pm and today (Nov. 13. 2013) they said that the card was not active! So my friend proceeded to make her purchase since there was nothing she could do at the moment. She made her purchase and miraculously they found that the card indeed was ACTIVE (how convenient).
She asked the store clerk if she could refund her the money and pay with the gift card and her request was declined. My poor friend had to go through all that BS at this ridiculously run store! I’m not blaming the store associate, however, I will blame GRACE the manager. I remember purchasing the gift card from her.
So this girl Jessica has to call this guy Kenneth who handles all the gift cards and has my friend waiting for OVER AN HOUR! My friend should have been give some sort of discount our coupon (damn something) for all the trouble this store put her through. Instead, she was laughed at by the store associate (Jessica). Wow! talk about lack of customer service and with the power of the internet store owners ought to be more mindful of how they treat their customers!!!

As soon as you walk into the Mall’s main entrance (Next to JCPenney) your eyes will gaze over to this pretty nifty store! (even the men stare away)
It has lots of clothing styles and accessories, including shoes. this place is always clean, well-​organized, and stocked up. During the holidays, it may get crazy with women looking for last-​minute clothes (not last-​minute deals). Prices are fair and there is a section just for plus sizes. Staff are friendly and usually greet you at the door.
so once you’ve purchased your cute little outfit, don’t walk near the food court otherwise you’ll have to come back looking for a new outfit =D
