I normally don’t come to Montebello mall to shop, but since my boyfriend lived close by I decided to buy some new rainbow sandals here. So first, when we got into the store we went straight to the sandal stand since that’s where the rainbow sandals were. I had picked out the one that only had my size and I handed to my boyfriend to hold onto it. He was sitting there patiently waiting for me, next some random guy worker asked my boyfriend if he needed help and my boyfriend told him nicely no and that I was looking at rainbow sandals only. He kept bugging my boyfriend and asking him if he wanted to look at the guy’s rainbow sandals and asking if he can hold onto the rainbow sandal that I picked out to hold on. First of all, the dumbass worker didn’t know that my boyfriend was already wearing a pair of rainbow sandals. So he could have just let him be instead bothering him and asking him 21 questions about sandals when my boyfriend specifically said he’s not looking around. And he kept insisting that he can hold onto the sandals that my boyfriend was holding when I said I wanted to see other designs and I wasn’t sure if I was going to get the one that my boyfriend was holding. Second of all, when I was done looking at the sandals, I was ready to pay. So I got up and started walking to the register and the guy followed me so close to me like as if I was going to run off the sandals. Like dude, am I seriously going to fucking steal a pair of sandals when I make a good amount of money to buy nice things for myself? Lastly, when I was at the register paying. ALL the damn workers there kept giving rise glares, stayed behind the register while the dumbass guy was ringing up my sandals. like literally ALL of the workers. From there, I gave attitude to all of them. ONEOFTHEWORSEEXPERIENCEEVER. I suggest you do not come to this store at all. Out of all the journeys place I’ve been to, this was the worse one I’ve been too. Shout out to the rude guy worker who had the nerve to think I would steal a pair of sandals. None of them there shouldn’t even be allowed to work at a great store like that.

I should have read the reviews before I came to this location. Long story short, I went in to return an online purchase. I brought everything that came in the package with me but apparently the slip of paper that looks exactly like a receipt isn’t a receipt(it has everything but the form of payment on it). Basically, showing my email receipt wouldn’t suffice and I was told that I had to print one out. The guy(I think his name is Sergio) said to me that unless I carry a printer with me, I’d have to go find one or go home. AREYOUEFFINGSERIOUS??? Firstly, his attitude and smart-ass was definitely uncalled for. I did nothing but ask a simple question and it’s not like he was busy with other customers. He was just standing there when I walked in and there was only one other customer in the store! Secondly, isn’t your job to sell your store’s products and not turn potential buyers away? Don’t you guys have sales goals to meet every hour or so? I’m sorry you’re stuck in a retail job but don’t blame it on your customers. We didn’t force you to work there. I always like to give people the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he was trying to be funny and make a joke. I’d say he’s got his work cut out for him because his«joke» cost his store $ 100 and repeat business. I guess it doesn’t matter to the store since they’re still in business after all these years. I didn’t want to say something to him at the store because I didn’t want to make a scene. But in hindsight, maybe I should have so that the other customers who had arrived would know what they’re in for.

This one sucks. It’s the attitude of the employees. One girl was eating chips behind the counter the entire time I was in the store. She couldn’t say hello. Welcome to Journeys? Not a peep. Two stars for merchandise selection.
