This was some of the worst food I have ever eaten, the food was cold the chicken was boiled, I will never go back even if it was free, I would go on but nothing can describe how bad the food was

Having lived in Japan before and living in Montebello now, I can say that this place definitely fulfills my Japanese food cravings. The lady at the counter is very nice and the cook is also very friendly.

You know it is not a good thing when you hear the beeps from microwave being used from the kitchen. I should have walked out at that point. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl but couldn’t fathom eating the preheated chicken and rice as it was disgusting. Also, the Sriracha container was filthy and gross. A complete disappointment compared to the previous establishments here. Go somewhere else and don’t waste your money here.

I order takeout from here at least once a week. I usually order the beef teriyaki plate and a chicken salad. My son loves the miso soup that comes with the plate. The food is tasty and healthy when it comes to teriyaki because it’s not drenched in sugar laden sauce. The lady who takes the order is very nice and my order is always ready within 10 – 15 minutes.

This place recently opened a couple months ago. It’s a quaint place run by a super nice older Japanese lady, so +1 star for being nice. It’s small and only has a couple small tables so it’s really more of a takeout place. The ramen was pretty good. The teriyaki was different because it wasn’t covered in a lot of sauce, which was fine with me but I know some people would want more sauce on theirs. Check it out!

Wish Unilocal could let me rate this with 0 stars… Anyways, I wanted some Demekin which I used to love, but noticed the change of ownership, I still decided to try it though. I asked the lady, she was nice by the way, if they changed owners. Then she said and I quote her«yeah, but it’s still Japanese, it’s good food.» i have never been lied so bad in my life! The portions were super small! The salad was old and the chicken was hard as a rock and undercooked at the same time, yeah I don’t know lol… I was starving so I ate half the plate, worst decision of my life! 30 mins after I wanted to throw up and I was sick for 2 days. My uncle just committed the same mistake today and he’s pissed, thankfully I was able to stop him from eating that crap.
