I have been going to this place since I was a junior at Schurr High School(that was back in 1987). I have always loved this place. The people are extremely friendly and the food is delicious. My favorite are the spare ribs with extra sauce over the rice. The price is great and the portions are more than generous. Though I don’t live in the area anymore, I stop by once in a while on my way home from work. As a matter of fact, that’s what I’ll behaving for lunch today.

Cheap, enormous portions, oh yeah its cheap as in the price. I’m picky with Chinese food, and this place could be questionable, when you walk in you know what I’m talking about, but its good as far as the teriyaki chicken and beef ribs go. Haven’t tried anything else but so far I’m good with those two and I do recommend it.

This place is really good. Their food is fresh and delicious. My favorite is the chow mien and the pork. The lady who serves you(Jenny) is really nice and funny. I’ve been coming here for about 14 years now and I will never stop going! The prices are very good and cheap.

Best noodles ever, food is 5 out of 5 service is 6 out of 5!!! After a generous serving the lady said«Big Scoops, I’ll take care of you»… I’ll keep you posted for our wedding date.

I decided to try this place out after walking around the plaza and craving some greasy chinese food(even though I had just been sipping on some Jamba Juice at the same time.) The lady that works here is so nice. The moment I walked in, she welcomed me wearing a genuine smile on her face. As I was ordering my food, I noticed that they pack the CRAP out of the box. After I got to the register, the total came out to $ 6. I had to have her repeat the price again cause I couldn’t believe for a PACKED three entrée plate, it would only be $ 6. I even prepared $ 8 in my hand already. I gave her the six dollars and gave the other two dollars as tip because the service was so great and they honestly deserve it. I wouldn’t come here all the time because the food isn’t the healthiest obviously, but whenever I’m craving something greasy on my cheat day, I won’t say no to this place.

Yes it has a B and yes it’s not the nicest inside, but i still like this place. It’s got both quality and quantity. Decent prices, big portions and a very nice lady up front who calls me babe and sweetheart(flattery will get you everwhere). I had the hawaiian noodles that come with pork. I also tried the teriyaki chicken which is very good. Ths orange chicken is very orangy in a good way. The veggies are also quite good, as is the thai tea. The mac salad that everyone talls about was just ok — so you can skip that. Reminder: this is still pretty heavy so don’t expect a gourmet light meal. Stay Cheerful ;)

This place is our go to teriyaki place. No other place compares; i can’t even eat teriyaki at other places anymore haha. Don’t hesitate it and just go. You will not be disappointed. Oh, and their orange chicken is also awesomely great.

This place maybe was the beginning restaurant that i have tried in LA. The food is delicious. The lady is so nice and friendly. Although the food is a little bit oily for me, i would suggest anybody else to come. The price is reasonable.

I ordered one box with noodles, fried rice, orange chicken, and tofu. I’ve known about this place but never tried it so I finally decided to try it. Right when I walked in I was greeted and she asked me what I wanted. I was just going for the noodles but she kept saying«what else? what else?» So I figured why not? Everything looked good and she piled SOMUCH. The box was only $ 6 and enough to feed 2 – 3 people. SIXDOLLARS. I tried the food and it was really good. Tasted fresh and loved the flavors. I recommend the chow mein !

We loved this place! We were craving Chinese, and didn’t want to go too far from the Best Western. This place was close and affordable. The woman behind the counter was very friendly. She talked and joked with every customer, and knew most of them– plus its great to see a local restaurant so busy. There is plenty on the menu, including bulba! We got the combo #3: three entrée items, macaroni, and white rice; with a drink it was all for only $ 9! It tastes great and the serving size is more than plenty. We shared the plate and still had leftovers. The place is small, but clean. They have the classics, like orange chicken, broccoli and beef, chow main, teriyaki chicken… You won’t regret eating here!

I haven’t been here in over 10 years. The last time I came here, I was probably a high school senior getting food with her friends before band practice. This was the most«authentic» you can get in Montebello and it is all good stuff walking down memory lane. I loved their mac salads, and loved the boxes of hot food, always delicious and quick. This place is small, non pretentious and great for a protein packed power lunch. It’s the best thing in that crappy plaza anyway. I remember their portions were out of this world. Either they thought I was malnourished or I was getting special treatment… They never failed to load up my box to feed an army. I have to come here again. I hope this place hasn’t changed! They definitely deserve more reviews because they’ve been around for more than 10 years! Basically, high school in a nutshell for me!

Wowwwwww… We happened to stumble upon this place while looking for a quick place to buy food near Best Buy and boyyyy am I glad. Like all the other reviews have mentioned, they definitely fill up that to-go box. I’m not sure if it’s cause we were there 40 minutes prior to closing, but our take out bag was quite hefty. We got orange chicken + beef and broccoli(as sides???) and then a combination plate(?) that consisted of half noodle/half fried rice + teriyaki chicken + beef ribs. I’m not really sure how the prices worked, but our total was about 12 dollars and we definitely got enough to serve 4. The orange chicken was delicious, as was the teriyaki chicken. The beef in the beef and broccoli was slightly dry, but the broccoli was fresh. The beef short ribs weren’t very good and the noodles/fried rices were nothing special. I believe it’s mostly like a fast food place(hawaiian/japanese/chinese? idk…), but there are tables where you can sit down inside, although it was pretty stuffy. The ladies serving us were super friendly and extremely generous with their portions(I didn’t get to take a picture, but I believe our boxes looked similar to those in the pictures, if not more since it was close to closing?). The prices/listed combination options could be more clear — the«menu» was a bit jumbled and it was just easier to pick what food you want and trust that the ladies charged you properly. I do think they serve more than just the fast food, and from pictures and the menu, I think they also have noodles /other freshly(?) fried foods. Overall, we’d probably return if we’re craving americanized + fast«chinese» food(fake chinese food is my guilty pleasure :3) — so give it a try! :)

Food: the Orange chicken and Teri chicken was yummy. The beef short ribs were just ok. Overall the food was decent for fast food Chinese. I would come back. Price: very cheap. We spent under $ 14 and it was enough food for 3 people. Place: it’s a Chinese fast food place with a few tables. The eating area is not too clean or fancy. Togo is a better option. Also the air conditioner was not on today. It was hot. However when you have two toddlers that are monsters who won’t sit… This place works.

For sure you get what you pay for. It’s cheap and they give you so much food. I usually prefer quality. Especially when it comes to chinese food it has to be good and authentic. The dishes here are all great. You can’t complain for that price.

Little hole in the wall with terrible décor, but I love this place! I’m extremely picky when it comes to food and environment, but Jennifer is so amazing and the food is so great you think, «who gives a fuck about the décor??!» Sometimes it’s better to go to a little hole in the wall that has better than expected food :-) that’s quintessential L.A.

«What’s good here?» «Everything is good.» «What’s your specialty?» «Everything is our specialty» «What do you recommend?» «I recommend everything» $/! $/@$*&^% I smiled politely. not knowing what to say anymore Please don’t say everything is good when a customer asks for a recommendation. The lady was too polite and sweet, but didn’t want to recommend anything :( Miki’s combination 2 entrees for $ 5.25 Ordered fried rice with noodle combo. I upgraded the noodle and got orange chicken, chasiu, some spicy chicken and spicy ribs Orange chicken you can taste the orange peel but they were clumpy, too big and not crispy. Spare ribs: fatty but kinda tasty Chasiu: hard and too much food coloring Spicy chicken: almost tasty but dry «You got everything you want» «No.you didn’t help me» 3 stars! Please please pleeeeease help me out next time because obviously not everything was good and I picked the wrong dishes. Miki chan is almost yummylicious!

Been craving Hawaiian food and found two spots so i decided to try this spot! The menu looked good from outside but inside the food looked like it was sitting there for hours. I said what the hell im a go for it, considering i dont know this area and im on foot. I got the grilled chicken, bbq short ribs and broccoli beef. Now let me remind u this food looks like it was there for hella long. I also got the 1 scoop of mac and 2 scoops of white rice, oh and a large«mango» drank. I sat down with this huge plastic food container that i could hardly close weighted about 5lbs. I was starving so u was ready to dig in, BUT!!! When i bit into the chicken it felt like i was bitting down on leather. It was tough and hard and a rock! The broccoli beef was good but the broccoli was dead and sad looking the top of the broccoli was softer than baby dump. The ribs had a good taste but was old as hell too, tough and no good. The rice was over cooked it was like rice paste and the mac was really mushy. Ohhh let me get to the best part lol my stupid ass when to a chinese/Hawaiian spot but ordered AGUAFRESCA smh df was i thinking. That stuff tasted like diabetes with a straw!!! Like black folk koo aid, water with sugar and a hint of color lol yea it was fail. Only thing i can say bout this place was that the lil asian lady was really nice real friendly and had people skills some big businesses should learn from her thats the only reason im giving them 2 stars. If i had came in earlier in the day the stars might of been different but im only going off my one time service. Yall should go give it a try and maybe u’ll find ur experience more pleasant.
