I was so disappointed! The noodle soups we ordered tasted so bland. I got something with lamb and vermicelli and it tasted exactly like hot water with vermicelli and lamb meat boiled in water. Whaa? The portions are pretty small and prices aren’t exactly cheap.

My Way Deli has great, feel-good Asian food. I always order the pork mushroom gravy rice and the seafood noodle soup. I’ve been going here since I was a little kid, and I’ve never had a bad experience. Ten out of ten recommend.

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid, I love their pork chop and even though other places serve the chop, my stomach still likes this place the best. You can always find some fresh Chinese tamales(sweet or salty) and they make it just like how my grams made it(authentic).

This is the most authentic Taiwanese food thus far in Los Angeles or at least in the San Gabriel area. I don’t think this is a well-known place. I grew up eating authentic Taiwanese food and this place is the place to go if you really want night market food. I don’t understand why other Taiwanese restaurants like sinbala is doing so well, I Think that place is a little bit below mediocre. Anyway, bottom line, for thoses who crave for taiwanese good or know Taiwanese crusine if you haven’t tried this place, you gotta check it out. I’ll add a pic of must eat to this review.

I really enjoyed this place. I ordered the lunch special roast pork. I was thoroughly surprised at how good the food tasted. It was like Taiwanese home cooking. My S.O. had the roast beef lunch special and the beef very tender. Everything was also on the cheap side. It’s a small divey kind of place so I expected as much. I’m going to have to try their beef noodle soup since I saw a review claiming it could be a SGV best. We shall see. My vote is still 88 beef noodle in Arcadia.

It’s one of those restaurants that’s got a good location. Pass by it all the time and finally decided to give it a try. I love Taiwanese food cuz it brings me back to the night markets in Taiwan. This place did not. The flavor was way off. Don’t know how it survived all these years. It definitely was not making money off Taiwanese folks. Very disappointed. If you can’t get stinky tofu right you ain’t a real Taiwanese restaurant.

Food here is legit taiwanese… Closest thing in the SGV. Although some dishes can get a little oily, it’s worth the extra lap around the block. Oyster pancake, sticky rice w sausage, pork w rice, porkchop rice… Im getting fckn hungry doing this damn review. Don’t knock it til you’ve tried it. Bön appetite!

I’m honestly a little caught inbetween giving this place a two or three star rating. I feel like the taste of the food itself is probably a solid 2.5 but the service would be a 4. So for that I’ll give this place a 3 stars. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m Taiwanese and grew up eating Taiwanese food & spending my summers in Taiwan or the fact my mother makes the most legitimate and one of the best Taiwanese foods around that I’m extra picky towards Taiwanese food, but this place was really average. All the foods here carry the authentic Taiwanese taste but it’s like bad Taiwanese food you would find in Taiwan. I was contemplating between getting the Zha Jiang Mian or the Beef Noodle Soup and they recommended for me to get the Beef Noodle Soup as its one of their more«specialized» dishes. When I tried it, it was super bland and blah. I could taste the beef stock in the noodle soup but I felt the taste wasn’t strong enough I.e. meaning the flavor probably had not been cooked in enough. It also was not salty enough and was lacking a few spice ingredients including just soy sauce. The soup base was just super average. Not spicy enough either and the pieces of beef used in making the broth were not the pieces traditionally used in making this noodle soup. If this is what they consider their signature dish, I don’t think I want to try anything else. Their other soy sauce stewed things like Lu Dou Gan and Seaweed and Egg were all lacking as well. The Dou Gan was over cooked and apparent with many holes in the sliced Dou Gan. And the soy sauce flavor had not entered the egg enough either. The sauce they used to stew those things were not spiced properly either. Regardless, this is just a very meh restaurant. I wouldn’t come back unless this was the only Taiwanese restaurant in the middle of nowhere. Plus it’s not very American friendly. Many items on the menu have no English.

Been here many times over the years, always friendly service and excellent homestyle cooking(meaning they only cook quality food that they would eat themselves). Szechuan-style braised beef noodle soup is among the best I’ve had — non-greasy broth full of deep flavors and savory small bite-size chunks of beef. Other dishes(pork chop rice, stinky tofu, oyster pancake, pork stew noodle) were all pretty good as well. Nondescript little joint tugged away in a corner of the 99 Ranch Market plaza on Atlantic/Garvey. Find it and your palate will be amply rewarded.

The food here is really good! The table, chair and floor are clean. Very comfortable and bright. We ordered Fried Pork-chop with rice, Fried bean curd roll with meat, Seafood Chow Mein and soup. Price is good, portion is decent and the ingredients are fresh and good. This has become my new fav Taiwanese Food place! Strong recommended!

Best Taiwanese style food in town! If you are looking for authentic taiwanese dishes, this is the restaurant for you. Lots of restaurants that claim that they are taiwanese style are not very authentic, this one is the real thing. We came here at least once every week. I like their milk fish rice noodle soup which is amazing… rich soup base, very flavorful, very authentic and the right portion… It quenches your desire for taiwan’s street food They have the best Stinky tofu in the san gabriel valley as well. Fried pork chop, oyster pancake, «bowl cake» …are all good. Service is efficient and fast. One of our most favorite restaurant in the area

We were around the area and wanted to get some take out at some Taiwanese place and decided to try this place out. We walked in at around 6PM on a Sunday night and it was empty… Maybe it was pretty early? We ordered a fried porkchop rice and fried chicken leg rice, broiled chitterling with special sauce, and some prepackaged kim chi(Taiwanese style, not Korean). They had the Chinese Chrysanthemum tea and herbal tea in the long rectangular bottles! We got the food fairly quickly and left. The service was good, but I have to base their low rating on their food. Both of pork chop and chicken leg was mostly BREADED fried fillers and the meat was maybe less than 40% of the actual thing… I was pretty disappointed… I’ve eaten these two dishes at A LOT of other places and it’s NEVER been this breaded… It did come with a piece of tofu, half an egg, and some veggies on the side. The chitterling was good and so was the kim chi, so maybe don’t order the fried stuff? I’m not sure if I would come back to this place since it’s pretty far from me and I had a «Meh» experience…

Food rating B This Taiwanese restaurant located in the corner of the 99 Ranch Market is worth a look, if you’re in the area and are in the mood for good, cheap Chinese food. The spacious restaurant is clean, brightly lit, with spotless floors, so don’t let the B food rating deter you. I’ve been here a few times; once I ordered #62 stir fried squid noodle which was very tasty(not bland, not salty). Another time, I had their lunch special which came with good portions of greens, a side dish, rice, soup, and the main course(for me was beef stew). There are numerous other restaurants within a block radius, but this should not be ignored. Owner speaks English well so non-chinese speakers should not be afraid that they won’t know what to order.

Had lunch at this simple, no frills Taiwanese place which utilizes the same parking lot as Ranch 99 as well as other small restaurants. Here’s what we ordered: –xlbs: meh, have had better –fried pork over rice: the pork was perfectly fried and tender… the rice was meh –noodles in xo sauce: good, but wished there was some sauce or way the meat and veggies could stick with the noodles. Ended up eating all the noodles was left with all the veggies and meat at the bottom of the bowl –beef pan fried noodles: average Good price and food. Would come back for a simple lunch.

This is more like 3.5 stars, but Unilocal still doesn’t have a ½ point system): Ever since the boyfriend moved half a year ago, we’ve been trying to find another place other than Won Won Kitchen(Temple City) to satisfy our Taiwanese food cravings. We Unilocaled and found this place. He ordered the fried chicken w/rice and I got pork stew rice. The pork in my dish was really chewy… so chewy it felt like chewing bubble gum. No bueno): The flavor was really good and all though, but it would’ve been a lot better if the pork was more tender. Also, the portions of the pork stew was really little compared to the amount of rice they gave me :/ The boyfriend’s dish, however, was absolutely perfect! I’ve never really liked popcorn chicken from places other than where I work, but this place just makes it right: D I may not come back for the pork stew rice, but I just might come back for the fried chicken rice ^^ (On a side note, the boyfriend and I don’t speak chinese so it was a bit awkward communicating with the people who work there… it might be a lot more helpful ordering if you come w/someone who speaks chinese! :))

I were in the area and bumped into this restaurant. We ordered brocoli and beef(tough but very beefy tasty), noodles with pork chop. I will say this is okish but not the tastiest meal ever. Pork chop is very greasy and it’s placed on a plate instead of soaking in the noodles. I have never had this dish before, it’s quite refreshing. That mall is quite busy so finding parking might be an issue at lunch hours.

Walked into this empty restaurant and decided to give it a try because I was too lazy to look for something else to eat. I normally go to another restaurant for Taiwanese food, but thought it is about time I give something else a try. Ordered their oyster pancake– Didn’t like it too much. Beef Noodle Soup– It was okay, nothing I would go crazy about. Overall experience was okay, but don’t think I will come back to this place again.

This isn’t the best Taiwanese food I’ve ever had, but it definitely surpasses excellence. Additionally, everything feels homey and comfortable, and the food actually tastes like it was prepared with an extra bit of love and care. You won’t find gaudy chalkboard scribblings and metal bento boxes strewn haphazardly around the room, a la Class 302 – only a smattering of passably clean tables and chairs and a handful of regular patrons, quietly enjoying their meals. I truly love how laid back the atmosphere is. The food is just great. Squid stew with rice noodles, Taiwanese sausage with rice, mushroom zongzi(«tamale»), stir-fried watercress, fish stir-fry with veggies. Everything is prepared simply, and loaded with flavor. The homie who works there is kind of ridiculous though. Is he morally opposed to providing decent service? I don’t get it?
