Disclaimer: Regards primarily about the workers*** The workers here are so unpleasant and don’t even smile. How do you expect to work in food service and don’t even care to make eye contact? I asked this girl which sandwiches the special applied to and she looked down and said everything. excuse me I’m not on the floor and why are you murmuring to yourself? And she kept on asking, «Is that it?» In a rude tone. Unbelievable! I worked in the food industry for 3+ years and my goal was to keep that smile from the moment a customer walked in to the second they walked out the door. Customer service is major key! How can some people not understand that. What a shame.

This place is horrible … They have bad customer service and they are always rude. They always make my sandwich really shitty. I recommend to not come to this location.

Ever since they closed the Subway on Atlantic(near the La Fitness) I dread coming to this place. Unlike other Subway’s where you walk in and are immediately greeted with a smile — not at this place. Needless to say customer service is not their thing.

I live nearby and i have not had too many problems. I agree sometimes they are not on the ball but Nora and the other girl are very good and helpful. I think the problem is the owner. I see the bad reviews and i must say you guys have to be a little more understanding. I know it’s not rocket science but I’m sure these poor guys are trying their best. I’ve worked in service before and you have to deal with so many kinds of people. I’ve seen them get yelled at for the most petty mistakes. Give them a break, speak loud and clear and try to have some patients. Life is too short to get upset over a flippen sandwich.

Not sure if he still works here but Jason was a very friendly sandwich maker! He always provided great service. Haven’t seen ya man, but wish you the best in all that you do!

Hmm I do wish sometimes I got some more toppings from this place compared to other subways; however, I’ve also never asked. Putting that aside, I’ve always been welcomed here by warm smiles and cheery attitudes. Some guy with the name tag«Jesus» works here and he’s always very friendly. There are many others as well that make me want to return because of their attitudes. My guess here is that many people here walk in upset, and take it out on this business, or they someone made a mistake.

The absolute worst! The owner is an ass****! He actually took one of his employees out of their break just to put some cookies in a container when he could’ve done it! The owner had no idea what to do and there was only 1 person working the line. What a waste of money and I spent 54 for 6 sandwiches!

I’ve came in here twice now and both times one of the workers named Stephanie made my orders. Both times she was very rude and looked angry being there but really no need to take out your anger out on the customers. She’s very rude and acted like she was in a huge hurry to make my sandwich, practically threw the stuff on my bread. Also theres no bathroom here but there is one next door at CVS. If your looking for some better customer service and decent cheap food I would definitely recommend next door at the Wiliiam’s Donuts.

Wow, what a ripoff. On top of that I forgot my phone there and a customer had to tell me that one of the workers took it. Luckily I got it back. Could have lost more than just $ 6 … do not go to this subway, ever.

Horrible service and no bathrooms even for veterans!!! I do believe its illegal to do that. They dont even deserve one star. After I tell them im a veteran then they lie and say it out of order. Then the girl uses it right in front of me very poor customer service and they dont deserve to be a subway! Im going to complain to the city this is bullshit.

The so-called«sandwich artists» here are hard of hearing. You have to repeat your order multiple times and also what you want in your sandwich multiple times. For instance, when it came to the sauces I had wanted(red wine vinegar and lite mayo), but the girl kept asking«oil and vinegar.» The amount of vegetables they give are a joke. The lettuce they put on my sandwich wasn’t even enough to equal a full palmful. On this particular visit, my «sandwich artist» was named Thomas and he was so rude! It’s my sandwich and I know what I want. He tried to put cheese on it when I had said that I didn’t want cheese. He kept trying to put vegetables on there that I didn’t say I want. When I said that i didn’t want them, then the attitude came out. Pretty sure he had some complaints before because he was trying to hide his name tag on the back of his cap. Avoid this location if you can. The Subway on Fremont has better service.

Horrible place. The people working their were not friendly. The person making my sandwich was really cheap in putting vegetable in my sandwiches. I had to ask 3 – 4 times to put more. Would i ever come to this location again? I dont think so.

I like Subway but this one is horrible. This location is really close to my house so I come here when I don’t want to drive. Those visits remind me why I don’t come here and thought it was about time I wrote a review to warn others. I’ll stop by this place after 5pm so don’t know how bad it is before then. They close at 10pm but everything is put away by 7pm and they have a attitude like, «…why are you here.» They scrape the bottom of the veggie, cheese, and meat trays so the lazy asses don’t have to restock what’s ready for the next day. You can see the stocked veggies right in front of the empty ones. I walked in at 8:45pm and the entire floor was soaked with water they were using to mop the floor. No caution sign and the employees just laughed cuz a customer walked in. To make it worse it was dirty mop water with no soap. I worked in a restaurant and it’s a smell you don’t forget. Stoners or lazy, these guys are a joke. Support other Subways so this one can closed down and a better place can open up. Alhambra off Valley makes a great sub and the one at Garvey/San Gabriel always has fresh soup & veggies. Atlantic Square is open 24⁄7!

Appreciate the friendly staff — I frequent this location and most staff have ever learned the sandwiches I like — thank for continuing great customer service

Beyond my better judgement, I went back last night. I was in a rush and wanted my go to sandwhich. Boy, has nothing changed! Did I think it would!!! I guess not, huh!!! The guy behind the counter didn’t help me. He said to wait. I guess he was on his break making his own sandwhich. Which BTW, looked DAMNGOOD! Guess its better if you work there. Cause after that, it was all downhill. Ten minutes later, Jose Rodriguez(according to the receipt) came out to help. I’m not a big fan of the«Weclome to Subway» mandatory greet, but boy do you notice it when the service stinks! Not to offend, but Jose didn’t look like he was the spokesperson for cleanliness. I’m glad he wore gloves for my two sandwhiches that he got ENTIRELY wrong. How many times did I need to repeat what kind of sandwhich? How many times are you going to put olives on the wrong sandwhich? Is that the alarm on the toaster for overtoasting my sandwhiches? Need I say more? When I got home, I had one of the least satisfying Subway sandwhiches I have EVER had. Its so hard to mess up a good thing, but Subway Monterey Park does just that. Get new staff, buddy. You’re guys are making you and Subway look really bad! Never going back.

This subway is an effing joke! hahahhahaha I felt like my sandwich was made by a bunch of stoners, and my transaction was handled by Apu’s wife from the Simpson; During the creation of my sandwich, 3 stoners and Apu’s wife were arguing about how Apu’s wife called off work and messed up their shifts. The sandwich stoner artist got his hands in all the wrong toppings before I could even tell him what I wanted. I kept having to say«no, no I wanted spinach not lettuce» «no, no, I wanted bell peppers, not Jalapeño». When I was at the end of my transaction, I could feel the anger lingering in her voice from the argument as she said thank you to me. Poor old lady, she probably get picked on a lot by those young stoner artists.

All Subways should be judge by the following criteria: 1. CLEANLINESS — it’s either clean or e. coli — luckily, this one was clean 2. SPEED — it’s irksome when you have someone trying to neatly place pickles and olives when you’re in a rush to get back to work 3. VEGGIES — all things being equal, good Subways aren’t stingy with veggies So, judging by Unilocal reviews, either there has been a change of management here or Unilocalers with no friends have none for a reason! I couldn’t drive to another Subway because I was late on my lunch break, so I took a chance on this one. My chicken breast with pepper jack, spinach, cilantro and chipotle sauce was hot and delicious. Next time you get one toasted, clobber it right away in the car and it’ll be the most delish sub you ever had from Subway. Seriously.

I can understand some of the negative reviews on here. The main reason is the lady(owner?) is very rude. My review is more like 2 ½ stars. Other than the rude lady, I haven’t had any bad experience with the people who work there. They are usually generous with the toppings and getting my sandwich right.

Being very generous with the 2 stars here… However, if this wasn’t a Subway(which is a great franchise as a whole) I would have slammed this place with a one. The sandwich artisan who’s normally manning the counter is a young lady with that typical«I don’t give a crap» attitude seen in a lot of «kids these days.» Very unfriendly and treats nearly every transaction as an inconvenience. The sandwiches are always hastily made and God forbid you should ever ask them to toast your sandwich or request one with hot ingredients, since they’ll look at you as if you just asked them to commit murder. Despite the close proximity to my home, I will never be going back to this Subway. The extra mile spent going to another Subway is well worth not having to deal with the shoddy staff at this location.

I love Subway, and this one is the closest to my house. But I would still drive down couple miles to another Subway. The subs are made VERYSLOPPY and customer service is beyond horrible. The worst time to come to this place(if you ever do) is when school gets out and all the employees’ friends are there. They totally disregard the customer they’re helping. I’m use to the horrible service. But for my most recent visit, the girl helping me was just ridiculously bad. throwing everything everywhere. She slapped the receipt and pen down on the counter, basically threw the thing at me. –__– And I had to remind her to give me a cup for my meal. ??? UGH. I swear, this place is bad for subways rep.
