Worst customer service. my sister and I met up in monterey to pierce our daughters ears. I drove from LA and she from san francisco. we called a day in advance to make sure we didn’t need the vaccination sheet and they said no because of our daughters age. well after waiting 15 minutes we were told we couldn’t do it because we didn’t have vaccination proof. ridiculous! we drove to salinas and they didn’t ask for anything and did it right away. Also the person who does the piercings in monterey isn’t nice at all and were so glad we went to salinas. the manager who pierced the ears was amazing and sweet! would not recommend going here!

When I was 12 I wanted to get my ears pierced… my Mom said not so much(I think it is a cultural thing). I talked her into it and we went to Claire’s(the original one kitty corner to the current one, well sort of) and them done. Over the years I would pierce my ears myself… Up until 9 or so months ago I had a total of 6 piercings and one day I went in to the«new» Claire’s because I was craving another hole. Paid a little extra for one of the nicer piercing studs and within a couple minutes I was out of their with a new ear cleaning kit and 14k gold little earring. They were moving things around in the shop at the time so they were«busy» and didn’t want to do any more piercings(they put a sign up immendiately after they finished me up) that day. They were in sucha a rush that they left a clip in my hair(salon type ones — not cute) which they used to keep my hair slightly up away from my ear. I didn’t realize it either until I made it back to my car. I think I was mentally preparing to get my nose pierced when I strolled though Claire’s that day last year.
