I don’t like bashing small«mom & pop» businesses, but sadly, Ma’s has cut way back on environmentally friendly products(they probably weren’t selling enough) and added a bunch of objects related to «woo»(concerned with emotions, mysticism, or spiritualism; other than rational or scientific; mysterious; new agey). Tarot card readings? Not a fan of the changes.

For a couple of weeks I saw this«Coming soon sign» in the store window and as I had to get some watch batteries from the shop next door i got more and more curious how this Ma’s Green Living Shop will be like. So finally as i drove by today i saw they had opened already and i gave it a shot. First and foremost the wait was worth it cause what the shop owner Nicole put together is not just a store — its fun, art, gifts and refill, recycle and reuse in a great unique way!!! She has great product knowledge and answered all my questions patiently and when you talk to her you realize she and her mom gave this cute store its heart and soul. If you have always wondered how you can have an impact on saving on those thousands of plastic bottles we go through when we buy beauty products there is finally an answer: Refill at Ma’s Green Living. Not only can you save on plastic, you save on money as well cause refill is more affordable. There are plenty of green products available and who would have thought that saving the planet is colorful and fun to shop. I left today with a new bamboo toothbrush, tea tree shampoo and a cute coin purse plus many ideas for upcoming birthdays and gifts for friends. And yes i will be back and refill and also try more of Nicole’s great refill choices!!!
