MPC Theatre Company

The MPC Theatre Company is located on the campus at Monterey Peninsula College. It’s a professional theatre company with a large, recently remodeled indoor stage known as the Morgan Stock Stage. My wife and I have been to over a dozen of their performances and have thoroughly enjoyed them all. Their cast is always well prepared, offering compelling performances which I’ve seen several standing ovations for. Their musicals are often times presented using a full orchestra. Some of their best performances which I’ve seen include Les Miserables, Rent, Light Up the Sky, Funny Girl, and Anything Goes. The theater is managed by Sky Rappoport who has always been very friendly to us and knowledgable with any questions we have had. He is usually at the ticket booth and can be recognized by his round glasses and curly hair. I highly recommend that you visit their web site to see which shows are coming up. They seem to typically have five or six shows per year and offer season tickets as well. Also, they typically have snacks and goodies available for purchase during intermission. Just to be prepared, prices range from $ 1 to $ 4, depending on if they are offering cookies or specialty pastries. The reasonable prices, outstanding performances, and quality setting make the MPC Theatre Company a great place to go for a quality evening of entertainment.
