Held in a warm authentic adobe in the heart of Monterey, Tango Monterey Bay is a welcoming place. A place for beginners to hone their craft with top-​notch instruction from maestros of the highest caliber. Practicas and Milongas are available Tuesdays, Thursdays, and weekends for those who want only to dance. Anyone, from highly skilled dancers, to those who are just getting started, locals or drop-​ins, everyone will enjoy this classy, friendly, and supportive atmosphere. Easy to enjoy a partner’s embrace as well as the safe embrace of an entire community.

The tango: the dance of love, of passion, of infinite complexity, grace, and depth and range of expression: the dance that welcomes you when you are happy, that soothes you when you are alone and hurting, and that causes your soul to soar to sites unseen in the space of a single song, thrives on the Monterey Peninsula.
Tango Monterey Bay offers the opportunity to learn, to embrace, and to enjoy the dance of the ages at the House of Four Winds at 540 Calle Principal. Every Thursday beginning and intermediate classes in the Argentine Tango are offered for a nominal fee starting at 7:00 pm. On Tuesdays, starting again at 7:00 pm, there is an informal practica where the tango community gathers to practice the tango and socialize. Other tango events and learning opportunities abound.
Come and experience why the tango has been around for over 150 years and burns in the hearts of those who dance it. Life is to be lived and tango offers an expansive means of expressing all of the wonders and beauty that life has to offer through dance and collaboration.
