The best tomatoes to be had this season! Jamie is a down to earth, friendly farmer and a treasure to have in our community!!!

In these times where your choice as a consumer has such an impact on politics and preservation of the planet as a whole I don’t see how anyone could make any other choice than to buy organic and local. Serendipity Farms is a female owned farm and the farm land is nestled in the heart of Carmel Valley protected from the wretched off sprays of pesticides in the Salinas Valley and Watsonville area’s. Serendipty Farms produce is highly nutrient dense and I swear by it’s healing potential when used/consumed properly and regularly. If you have any intelligence at all and care about community, health and the planet there is no other choice but Serendipity Farms.

Serendipty Farms has a great CSA box program. for $ 25 a week you get a GIANT box of fresh organic produce. I would say the only downside is that you have to get a box every week, if you are out of town or something they still have to charge you.

We’re lucky to now have our 9th& Irving Farmer’s Market year-round, but I do miss these guys when they’re not there… They always have beautiful and well-priced vegetables — I love purchasing salad greens, chard and different kales(lacinato, winterboar) from them. At $ 1.50 for a huge bunch, it’s far below what our local grocery(Andronico’s) charges. During tomato season they urge you to taste the fruit and make sure you’re picking the sweetest and tastiest. They also offer strawberries and flowers on occasion. I hope they return soon.
