Delicious and friendly! Montesano is often a stop for us along the way down the coast, and the Crow’s Nest has become something of a fixture. It’s not a road trip without the pleasant banter of the staff and the greasy, delicious fodder.

Whenever we drive close to Monty, we make sure we’re hungry and stop for a burger. Burgers are fantastic, onion rings and freshly battered and cooked perfectly, and the french fries are perfect… long, thick cut fresh potatoes that are crunchy on the outside and pure potato yumminess on the inside. Everything is fresh. The fried food is clean tasting, unlike some other places where they don’t change their oil frequently enough. This is super good!

Good fries, average burger — no lettuce or tomato in mine. Service was quick. Good fishwich. Taco also very average! Oh well…

Stopped here because of Unilocal reviews, and it was a good move. Good burgers, excellent fries and tots, yummy chocolate malt, and the chicken nuggets were greedily consumed by our 4-legged traveling companions.

Listless, like the lettuce on my burger. Traditional thick Milkshakes were the saving grace. Rootbeer and fresh banana were both top notch. Deluxe burger & dbl cheeseburger were ordered… And half enjoyed. Stale buns and dry, flavourless patties were nose-crinkling poor. We thought it would be a fun diner to stop by while on a road trip for some cheap, unhealthy drive-in food but it wasn’t worth the stomach-ache.

Awesome fries and fry sauce. Chocolate malt was amazingly simple is one of the best I’ve had in Washington state. Regular cheeseburger is good, though nothing particularly special about it, Décor, etc was nothing fancy but the ladies working there were all really nice and the food came out fast, seemed clean enough. I will definitely come back again next time I am in Montesano.

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat on our way home from Seaside. Good selection of food, it’s yummy for a good price. Keep in mind it’s nothing fancy, very straight forward but I enjoyed my meal. The employees are very nice as well :) if you’re looking for a decent place to eat that’s quick I definitely suggest coming here! They have a drive through as well.

We were driving home from camping at Lake Wynoochee and decided to get some fast food. I’m on a pretty strict diet so I can’t usually have what’s on a drive-in menu, but once in a while, I can’t resist. My husband and I looked around Montesano for a place and decided on the Crow’s Nest. My husband loved his burger and I had the best fishwich ever!!! Nice people there, too — Will definitely return to the Crow’s Nest next time we’re in the area.

We love their signature burger and their fries. There is ample seating and the waitresses are friendly and helpful. This is the place to go for burgers in Monte.

We had a very good burger here. They even grilled our onions for free. Great stop with a cute and friendly staff. If your hungry and want a quick stop to eat right off the freeway — this is it!

Super friendly people, great food(as far as fast food goes), clean restaurant and bathrooms. Perfect little stop off the road on the way down the coast!

Food is okay. Nothing to write he about. Cheese sauce was spoiled. They need to change it. Service was bad and just plain rude.

It’s a good restaurant. Burgers, hot dogs, fries and several other meal options like a BBQ sandwich, etc. Friendly staff and a clean restaurant. Please don’t be surprised by the 70’s feel. I liked it and felt like a kid again. Some may snub their nose at the 30 year old atmosphere. I gave it an average rating just because nothing really stood out as impressive. Still a good place to eat.

Crow’s Nest is consistently YUMMY! I really love the Crow’s Nest Special. It’s a deluxe cheeseburger topped with grilled ham. The milkshakes are great too. Staff is friendly. Love their food!!!

I love this place. I’m a local so visit it often. Good taco salad and the burgers are gray. Shakes are the bomb. Love that it is so close to where I live.

went to this place after seeing the Unilocal reviews we ordered 2 burgers one bacon and one deluxe. both came with nothing on them but a burger and cheese.(bacon with one) which they also fixed right away. also looked like they may have been training a new person so im not going to give them a bad review for that. the burgers once fixed were tasty well seasoned however the patties were quite thin for the price. would give the burger about a 3 stars the fries were perfect not burned but lightly crispy on outside and only about 3 of the rock hard ones you get anywhere that cares about their fries. also a good portion of them. i would give the fries a solid 5 stars so the food was good how ever the ethics of the business is what turn me away and i hate when businesses do this. this place mixes a(fry sauce) up, some ketchup and mayo and then gives you a little tiny bit to go with your fries and proceeds to charge you 28 cents per tiny cup of this stuff that most any other place would give you for free. I absolutely hate being nickle and dimed like that. to give this stuff away would cost you about 5 to10 dollars per day but instead even though i liked the food and the staff was nice i probably wont be back because of this small fee for a sauce that makes my frys enjoyable.

Very disappointed. Used to be a nice local joint. Burger patties are paper thin and the sauce has a sweetness that doesn’t play well. Not sure we will make the stop on the way to the beach anymore

After seeing how many other former workers have reviewed the Crows Nest, I felt compelled to add my two cents also. I worked for the Papac’s back when I was a teenager, and truly enjoyed the experience. The food is great and you can always expect to find most of your favorites when you stop by, even if it has been awhile. My favorites are the fish burger — soft bun, crispy on the inside; hot, fresh, white fish inside a ultra-crispy batter. Very tasty. And of course the fries with their homemade fry sauce. Thick, golden fries dipped in a mayo/ketchup/etc sauce. yum. The Crows Nest Special is a deluxe cheeseburger with grilled thin sliced ham, and that is a nice treat if you are looking for something different. They have awesome milkshakes, and also scoop ice cream in many different flavors. They used to give you scoops big enough to feed the whole family — not sure if that is still happening. My all time favorite was the mocha shake, which was a chocolate shake with two shots of espresso in it. I think their espresso machine broke years ago, however, and don’t believe it is on the menu anymore. :’( Great place to stop on the way to the beaches. There are three gas stations within blocks where you can gas up before you hit the road again.

We’ve been stopping here for approx. 20 years as the midway stretch stop en route to Open Sores. And never dissappointed. After a day of photography in the Matlock area(not named for the TV character), the road from Shelton dumped me out in downtown Brady(the town is the bomb on a sunny Saturday afternoon). So why not go to the Crow’s Nest for a snackie poo? I’m in da hood after all. My usual is a milk shake that is so thick that it’s Hoquiam;s Hum Dinger before it thins out enough to drink though a straw. However, as I am still minding my New Year’s resolution, I «limited» myself to a small fry and diet Pepsi. As always, the fry serving was large and they were freshly cooked, hotter than the barrel on a $ 2 pistol. I noticed the menu has expanded since my last visit to now include some Mexican items(pretty soon we will need to go out for Anglo food) and Breakfast items. But I digress. Anyhoo, all was great with great service to match. Side bar: Stopping here gets you up to date with the Monte Bulldogs sports season. The ice in the pop is just the right size for post drink crunching
