Methinks a step up from the run-of-the-mill Chop Suey Shop. Nothing spectacular, but the flavors are a bit fresher than some of the other Chinoises in the neighborhood. Don’t let the shithole décor scare you…

Just had their Combination Egg Foo Young and it was outstanding. Also had Crab Rangoon and it was very good too! Delivery was right on time.

Delivery took over an hour and we are a few miles away. The food was NOT good. It looked like it was cooked 12 hours earlier and reheated. Will not go back.

Not the best place to look at. Not somewhere to go eat. Service may be slow during rush hour. However, with that said this is one of the best takeout places you’re going to find. Service can be slow when it’s rush hour, but quality is never a concern here. I moved away and this is still one of my ‘must hit’ locations while I’m back in town as well as the bar that I measure against. I’ve yet to find anything in Colorado that comes anywhere near this. My must haves: Egg Rolls — Always great. Orange Chicken

If you live on the east side of Oswego or Montgomery, you basically have 3 choices for nearby Chinese food: Mason Wok, Chinese Wok, or Number 1 China. There’s also Golden Buffet, but that’s 1) buffet, and 2) disgusting. Don’t bother. I haven’t tried Number 1 China, so this is pretty much going to be a comparison with Mason Wok. I tried Chinese Wok way back in the day, but someone turned me on to Mason and I hadn’t looked back. Until now. Chinese Wok(CW) is a generally take-out only place. They have one table, but most people use it to wait on their order. I’ve seen two types of people manning the counter at fast food Chinese places — the humble and ever gracious server, and the no-nonsense order taker who yells loudly behind to the kitchen staff to put your order in. The lady here is of the latter variety. Other reviews are complaining about the service, but honestly, I’ve come to expect this at Chinese places. It’s the same at Mason Wok. The food came quickly, so I have no complaints regarding service. A couple of things to note when ordering. They ONLY take Visa or MasterCard(or cash, of course). All other credit cards are off limits, as are personal checks. They WILL ask for your ID if you use your card — yeah, one of those places. They are closed on Mondays, so keep that in mind. One of their appeals of CW is the coupons on the menu. Free crab rangoon or egg roll with orders over $ 20, free chicken fried rice or General Tso’s chicken with orders over $ 35. WIth a family of 4, that’s not hard to hit at all. Prices are otherwise comparable with Mason. We ordered our usual large gambit of food: hot & sour soup, fried potstickers, beef with broccoli, chicken lo mein, chicken fried rice, and I always choose a house specialty entrée, which today was Singapore Rice Noodle. Since we broke $ 35, the chicken fried rice was free, bringing the total to $ 45. The breakdown: — Hot & sour soup. More like hot & sour stew. There were more ingredients than Mason’s, but it was lumpy and thick, on its way to gravy consistency. It was decent, but I’d give the edge on flavor to Mason. — Fried potstickers: You get 6 here as opposed to Mason’s 8, but they are massive. I liked the way they were cooked at CW better — Mason’s tend to have the meat fall out of the dumpling right away — but Mason’s taste better, with a bit more spice. CW provides 2 sauces — a hot sauce(which just tasted like oil to me) and a sweeter rice vinegar sauce. Again, Mason trumps them with their sauce. — Beef with broccoli: Mason wins, hands down. This was REALLY salty. Not my dish, and thankfully so. — Chicken lo mein: Basic chicken flavor, but they use the very thin rice noodles instead of the thicker lo mein noodles. Flavor-wise, Mason is better. However, if you’re hungry, rice and noodle-based dishes are REALLY packed into their containers. No skimping here. — Chicken fried rice. Like the chicken lo mein, but with rice. Unimpressive, but does the job. Same packing job. — Singapore Rice Noodle: More like Indian Rice Noodle. No mention in the description of the strong curry flavor. Fortunately, I like curry, so this was pretty good. The shrimp are the tiny ones you can only find in a can, but they were plentiful. This is also the only way I was really able to distinguish this dish from the chicken lo mein upon first sight. Again, the container was bursting full. All in all — nothing TERRIBLE, but I had to think about it before going up to 3 stars. More like 2 ½. I definitely disagree with the 4-star ratings. We gave it a shot, and it was okay, but we’ll be returning directly to Mason Wok again. Maybe we’ll give Number 1 China a shot soon. UPDATE: 3 hours later after writing the update, I got REALLY sick. Not food poisoning, but the food was VERY disagreeable with me nonetheless. I’m writing this the morning after and I still feel it a little. Pretty sure it was the heavy curry in the main dish. I won’t have the knee-jerk reaction of dropping them down to 1 star, but I was on the fence before, and it definitely cost them one.

Admittedly, I don’t order a great variety, however — my order is always well prepared to my specifications, hot, and ready when they say it’s going to be ready. I’ve never had a long wait — either when I phone it in, or when I just walk in and place the order and wait.

Yummo! Won’t be going to east china inn anymore. Delicious, piping hot and fresh, and quick service. I even had leftovers this morning and I NEVER do that with Chinese. ps this is a carry out only… dine in seems uncomfortable bc of the small space.

I totally agree with Amanda L., GREAT food, but sadly the customer service is atrocious! Tonight’s order was called in at 5:15 and I was given a 35 minute preparation time. I arrived about that time and had to wait until 6:15 while my kids were running about the small eaterie and slowly losing control. I was about ready to walk around the corner, get DQ, and head home about the time the owner said my food was ready. Gonna take me about a year to forget this experience until I see their menu in the bottom of my drawer and think, «Oh yeah, they have great food!» Based off reviews since 2007… I figure I’ll have a negative customer service experience and have this thought process all over again. ;-\

If I want Chinese take-out, I’ll skip the 5 restaurants closest to me to go here. Plus free crab rangoon with orders over $ 20.

Food is amazing and usually quick. I personally have never had a problem with their service but I can see how they really wouldn’t give you the time of day for a complaint.

Best Chinese takeout you’ll find in these parts… believe me, I’ve had some pretty awful stuff out here. The food is always right on, while the promptness is hit or miss(in the six or seven times I’ve ordered I experienced the painfully long wait once). Customer service-wise, they aren’t too great… but I think it’s more that they’re swamped rather than uncaring. Their son seems to work their from time to time and he’s super nice. Never dine-in, this is a take out only place. I can’t stand even to sit and wait for food, though I do admire the ever-fading cans of cola and yellowed notes on the wall — reading them passes the time.(I echo the comments about not thinking about the kitchen, eek.) I’d give it five stars… but minus one for scary kitchen and dine-in area. Don’t touch anything inside while you’re waiting(or wash your hands afterwards.) Good choices: won ton soup, bbq pork fried rice, crab rangoon, moo shu

This is my favorite Chinese take out. The food is awesome and we have never experienced them being late on aything. Do be careful when ordering spicy. I have been sorry on more than one occasion. The only reason they get 4 stars instead of 5 is because the inside is so gross I have to try hard not to think about what the kitchen looks like.

Best Chinese food in the greater Aurora are – slowest and poorest customer service EVER. I dedicate this ONE start to their food. I dedicate the the lack of four stars to them being consistently slow every time I go and the last time I went having the worst customer service of all time. We called in an order, as usual and were asked when we want to pick it up. We said fifteen minutes, and she(the owner) said it would be ready in ten. It took us twenty minutes to get there, due to traffic. Upon arriving I had wait an additional TWENTY minutes, making it a grand total of FORTY minutes to get our order, that we were told would be ready in ten. When I called back to tell the owner that we were disappointed in the service she said, «That’s nice. Thank you. *click*» She hung up on me. And that, unfortunately, is typical of the customer service there.
