Coffee was HORRIBLE, Heck the water was funky. Omlette was crunchy… not good. Ate the overcooked crunchy insides. Everything was very overcooked.

We enjoyed it so much we came back the next day! Everything was made fresh and the service was great. The fried chicken sandwich is excellent and the breakfast is great as well. Awesome diner!

I came in today for lunch. This was the first time I have ordered lunch and it was delicious! The fried chicken sandwich was cooked wonderfully and really hit the spot. The service was great and the coffee was fresh. My 2 year old son loves the popcorn that they bring to the table.
I highly recommend this family friendly restaurant.

Service was terrible. The food was slightly better. Our entrée was OK, but the chocolate malt was fair & the banana pudding was awful. In my opinion, don’t waste your time & money on this place.

My rating is relative to the price paid. Had I paid more they would have received two stars. Not a horrible place but you get what pay for.
Standard Issue breakfast, no frills. Would I go back? Maybe. The orange juice was a little weak, the French toasted a little on the well done side but you also get what you pay for. On a budget and want to eat out, come here. Looking for an amazing breakfast, not so much.

Me and my husband stopped in this place leaving lake Conroe and the server immediately greeted us and let us choose our seating. We sat down at our table and instantly got our drinks and were able to look at the menu! Breakfast is served all day :) we both had the 2 egg breakfast with a side of the yummy Mac and cheese and opened biscuits and gravy /​sausage. The food was over the top delicious, I honestly had no complaints about our food. We saw the word (burrito) and decided to get one to go and that was just as great as our dinner. Be sure to stop and check it out. You won’t be disappointed. Super friendly. Family oriented also! Keep up the awesome work!

Not sure what all the fuss is about with this place. I had chicken fajita skillet and hubby had french toast. The skillet meal was greasy. I could do better. Service was good. I love old movies so the atmosphere was fun for me… but the food was no worth the trip.

Used to love this place, last 2 times though it has fallen so low. Almost all related to service with long waits and 40+ minutes for food. Some thing has gone wrong at this place. Hope they find an answer soon.

Love this place !!! Retro atmosphere and Good Food. 50s and 60s music. Popcorn appetizer. Great service. We’ve been there twice. I had the small (huge) chicken fried steak, and my husband had the fried fish. Both were great. So good we ordered the same thing the second time we went. Prices are appropriate. We are ready to go back and try the rest of the menu.

Cute atmosphere, frozen food & nice staff!
The theme is so cute in there! My kids & myself enjoyed the tribute. They serve popcorn as an appetizer so the whole place smells like a movie theater which I wasn’t a fan of.
The food is all pre-​made frozen food that is prepped & served. I wasn’t a fan & after we got back to our hotel started to feel kinda sick The popcorn appetizer wasn’t very good either.
The waitstaff was very kind & helpful. They all did a great job.
Overall, we won’t eat here again.

Every time we come here service is absolutely excellent! Servers that aren’t even our original server offer to refill beverages and ask how everything is while having the best attitude about it as well! Some places you go give you vibe that the employees hate their jobs and don’t care about the customer which can make you feel they may not care about the food or cleanliness of the restaurant, totally not the case here keep up the exceptional work magnolia diner

Great local place. This is our second time here. Really appreciate the «mini-​me» section of the menu, which is not to be confused with the kids menu. The food is good and the wait staff has been great. Especially appreciate Holly’s very happy, chipper spirit. She was our waitress this morning and what a bright smile.

This place was filthy at 8:00am on Sunday morning. They open at 7 so we were really not sure how this could happen; 15 tables that needed to be bussed and no customers in sight.
Eggs Benedict drowning in hollandaise sauce with way to much lemon. Eggs and pancakes with day old hash browns and pancakes that could be used in lieu of your spare tire.
If in the area go to Toasted Yolk instead.

If you are going for lunch or dinner I suggest the banana split for dessert!

Went with my family it has a cool atmosphere loved the 50s-​60s theme however the food was inconsistent and not very good. We all got the same chicken fried steak plate (3) and only one looked halfway decent. The mashed potatoes were instant potatoes and nothing really tasted great. It reminded me of school lunches or hospital food. We asked for popcorn and it never came. The best part of the meal was the fried appetizers, which were prebattered frozen cheese sticks. We ordered drinks and when we asked for cherries in them (shirley temples) the waitress just look at us with a dumb founded look on her face. We ended up getting so much cherry juice you could not even taste the soda. We won’t be returning.

Tried this place for the first time for breakfast before hitting lake Conroe to fish… fantastic breakfast!!! Had the Two Step which was pretty large for 1 person, will order the Mini Two Step next time.
Waitress was super friendly too.

Great prices, great food, great for kids and good service. Seriously if you hated catfish more than anything you would still like their catfish. Its 10 times better than the catfish restaurant 10 miles down the road. If they weren’t always running out of something on their menu I Would give 5 stars.

We love this place. The service is great, food comes out fast and everything we have tried is absolutely delicious. Breakfast is our main category here, but tried dinner a few times here and it’s just as good.
