Front desk personnel need to learn more about friendly customer service. A smile goes a long way. I went upstairs to my room, no towels. Called the front desk and was promised some to be delivered right away. One hour later I had to walk to the front desk to ask for the towels again. They had forgotten about them. Overall, poor service. I won’t return and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Didn’t feel welcomed at all.

Ugh. Horrible place. Husband booked this hotel as a surprise trip for me, which was sweet but he obviously knows nothing about booking hotels. Going to start with the few pro’s just so you can see that I am not being terribly cruel. * convenient location to the lake * easy drive to local attractions * had mini-fridge and small microwave Now that that is out of the way, let’s talk about this place. Arrive late on a Friday, exhausted after a long drive. Driveway in to hotel is not lit — at ALL. I had to actually drive in to oncoming lane where I guessed the driveway would be and hoped for the best. Thankfully there was little traffic and I made it in. Hotel is small, just two stories. Our rooms were on the second floor. Not a big issue except for the fact that there were NO elevators. Guests are expected to tote all their luggage and small children up the stairs. The stairs, by the way, are some kind of molded plastic and the ones we used near our room were horribly warped out of shape creating a lip right at the landing perfect for catching a foot and sending someone less careful hurtling to the concrete below. It’s only a matter of time. As we walked to our rooms were were greeted by trash in the walkways and piled in to cans. Lovely. I was grateful when we got in to see the fridge, which I was not expecting. The room was large enough, with a small table and chairs. Unfortunately the sink and vanity are right in the room and not in the bathroom so anyone doing makeup or brushing teeth or washing hands after flushing is doing so in full view of the whole room of potentially sleeping people, bright lights glaring. The toilet is high powered and LOUD but oddly never seems to get all the bowl contents down. Takes three or four tries. Want to sleep? Well, hope you brought a sleep mask. Between the aforementioned light from the vanity area problem, the light streaming in under the door and around the window curtains from the hallway outside was damn near enough to read by and nothing to do about it unless you somehow duct taped the curtains to the wall and stuffed towels under the door. The mattress was a total disgrace. Felt like a bounce house and creaked with every movement. Now for the worst part. The room was just gross. Stains on the chairs, stains on the duvet, stains on the carpet, beaten up furniture… I was absolutely HORRIFIED to discover that my husband paid 128 $ a NIGHT for this place. It is clearly no more than a 50 $ a night kind of hotel and he was totally robbed. Pictures say what I can’t. They did have what on the surface appeared to be a reasonable small breakfast, except that the coffee would peel paint and the cream cheese I tried to put on my bagel was rancid and curdled. I gave up and walked to the donut place next door. There is little to say about this place other that it’s a complete rip-off and people should avoid it.
