Pretty good breakfast with large portions. Eggs were cooked right though one broke. For what’s in the area this is a good choice. Great service and low prices for sure. Basically what you would expect for a 50s style diner.

Food was adequate. Our server was new so I guess a few mistakes are expected. However, the omelets were completely screwed up. Our four orders of toast didn’t come until midway thru our meal and then only 3 orders arrived. Cold. Unbuttered. Our French fries came near the end of our meal. Oh did I mention that the utensils and dishes were dirty? Something has to be addressed.

Great breakfast! Quick service. Coffee is really good. Home fries — a very important part of breakfast — are awesome! Bathroom very nice as well. What a gem this place is.

The food was so good like dat melted mozzarella cheese on the burger and thum fries damn dat shit was good. To top it off with a vanilla milkshake. Also the waitresses and waiters are so kind. I would recommend it to people who has never went there.

Service & food were both awesome! The chef makes his own mozzarella which is very tasty. When Chico the owner heard how we had driven far and were starving he brought fresh hot dinner rolls, even though we were only getting burgers & lunch.

«Tilly’s Special» roast beef sandwich is stuffed full of meat. but her banana cream pie is to die for. The service is prompt and informative should you have any questions about the extensive menu. Seems popular with local residents, not just tourists. Clean restrooms too.

I’ve only been were in the morning. But they make a solid breakfast/brunch. Our waitress is always super friendly. Everything taste fresh. Sometimes diner breakfast sits like a stone in my stomach. But not when I’ve had breakfast here. Its only on average about $ 14-$ 16 for two people to eat. Coffee, toast and two full breakfast. I don’t think that can be beat now a days. The only downside is they can never get fries right when my husband orders fries. Tasty but a little limp.

Breakfast was tasty! Eggs cooked perfectly! The French Toast was yummy. They serve coke products! Total diner feel. The staff was friendly and knew the names of the regulars. Prices are totally reasonable.

I was in the area for a music festival at Bethel Woods and stopped by this diner on the way there and back. Before I get into the food, I just want to point out how nice the people in this area are. Both the waitstaff and the regulars have a nice casual conversation with everyone. Makes this diner extremely home-y and comfortable. I had the french toast(comes with 3 slices, eggs, and the chicken parm hero. All of which were delicious. I’d def come back!

Been a steady customer since 1990. Not fancy but consistently good, friendly staff, fair prices, welcoming local atmosphere. Apple pie will make your head spin!

Been eating @ Tilly’s for more than 25 years. Sold a few years back to the short order cook, who maintains the high-quality food. Open only for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast is the best anywhere. Gets really busy in the summer but highly worth the wait.

Great food, home cooked at cheap prices. Cup of homemade split pea soup and turkey sandwich for $ 5.95! Easy on and off Route 17 at Monticello, stop in if you can. Nice wait staff too!

Our family loves Tilly’s Diner. We have eaten there once a year for 7 years and it is a yearly ritual we dearly look forward to. Small, friendly, local, and right out of the 1950’s-1960’s, I frankly wouldn’t care if the food wasn’t great. But the breakfasts are great. The Mack Truck special– or some kind of truck– comes with the biggest most delicious pancakes you have ever eaten. The blueberries in the summer are totally fresh, the pancakes made on the griddle in front of you just over the counter, as are the eggs, the bacon– which actually arrives crisp!!- the toast. The coffee is variable. This morning it was delicious– in Friday morning when I stopped quickly for an extra visit, it was dishwater. But frankly, just the place itself and the waitress and the griddle cook makes up for an occasional indifferent cup of coffee. And the family always has a blast. PS– the bathroom is always clean, and if you are lucky, a farmer outside is selling fresh tomatoes and corn and watermelon. Also a great photo opportunity. What more for a little taste of heaven or nostalgia to make your year?

Nice small and local diner. They have good coffee and great pancakes. Omelets are a bit small and can be hit or miss. Prices are great, not like those huge suburban diners with equally sized prices. Good for breakfast or lunch. I don’t think they serve dinner.
