My friend and I came here around 1pm on a Saturday, it was pretty empty so I was kind of nervous, but we took a plunge and ordered a few items. We got the fish tacos, kale salad, and the roasted cauliflower dish(we’re trying to be semi-healthy). The tacos were surprisingly really good, right amount of crispyness, I hate when theres too much sauce it makes the batter really soggy, this was a perfect consistency. I loved the purple cabbage and light sauce on top, the tortillas also felt like they were made in house which was really nice. The roasted cauliflower was also delicious, roasted perfectly and I enjoyed the purple cauliflowers as well as the spicy mediterranean mash, it was a different twist. The kale salad was also good. I was happily surprised with the food, it wasn’t heavy or greasy like other pub foods. The server was a little inattentive and slow considering there was only 2 other tables there, we really had to wave her down, but other than that pretty solid experience.

Great place. We’ve been there a number of times during happy hour and have always had a good time. The food is excellent — especially the onion rings, hot dogs, and tacos. Also I love the selection of craft beer. Very tasty.

Favorite place for a drink anywhere close to Montrose. Friendly staff, good vibe, and good drinks. Can get a little crowded on some nights but worth the trip.

I would have loved to give this a 5 as the food and atmosphere were very good and prices were reasonable, but we had a server who missed the first order we made and then was rude when we asked her about my order as well as the rest of the contact with us. She ruined an otherwise good experience. I would try them again, but refuse to be served by her.

A really fun place to enjoy some beer with your sports. It fills up quickly so get there early for happy hour. The beers on tap and ambience are better than the food. The signature tacos are okay. The Ktown chicken wings came out cold so we sent them back. Go for the braised short rib sliders, the best thing on the happy hour menu, but not at all filling. They are a little stingy on the filling. So make sure you order some parmesan french fries.

I’ve been here twice already. Once on a Friday night with my girls, and another on a weekday during happy hour. On Friday it took us a while to get seated, we ended up finding seats at the bar. I think there was a birthday going on so a lot of the seats more towards the back were taken so maybe that’s why it took so long to sit. We ordered guacamole, chicken tacos and the mac and cheese to eat. I wasn’t a fan of the tacos but my friends really loved them. The guac and mac and cheese were AMAZING, mac and cheese was my fav. you must try! Drinks were pretty good, not as strong as I hoped. I’m a huge moscow mule and bloody mary fan. I ordered both of them, I liked the bloody mary. I wish both were just a little strong though. Happy hour however was really really well priced and they had great options on the menu. Definitely coming back again!

Decent beer selection. Food was meh: brussel sprouts were soggy, onion rings were too salty, and the french fries could have been fried for a bit longer for a little crunch. However, the grilled cheese was great– will order again. Interested to see their happy hour offerings. Service was OK. Looked busy on a Saturday night.

I left this place with a bad taste in my mouth not cause of the lackluster food but because the huffy waitress. The food was not bad. I appreciated the fresh made crunchy shell of the potato taco, but the potato was a little bland. The fish taco was ok, but has kind of a bitter taste. I liked the tortilla chips and the salsa was great. I likes the fresh garlic on the garlic fries, but they got soggy fast. Chocolate bread pudding was good but took 15 minutes, a bit long for dessert. Food wasn’t terrible, I would give food 3 stars. What I didn’t like was that we were waited on by 3 different people which made it confusing. I ordered dessert separately after I had already paid for my tacos separately. The girl added it to a group tab, when I asked to pay separately she said ok and charged me separately but didn’t take it off the group tab. So I ended up paying for the dessert and so did the group… when we asked to take it off, the waitress got huffy because she had to void and start over. She stated we should have told her we wanted to pay separately earlier which I did, but there were 3 different waitresses for same table so it got confusing. She also wouldnt have told us we got charged twice if we didnt bring it up. This kind of situations happen all the time, no biggie, but I didn’t like her huffy attitude about it.

The basin was recommended to us by my sister-in-law so my hunny and I decided to give it a try! The food was simply delicious! We had the French toast, «taco de papa» and for desert the cinnamon donuts! So good! My sister in law had the steak eggs Benedict and raved about how amazing it was! Our service was also great! Not only was our server very attentive, the entire staff made sure to check on us constantly to make sure we didn’t need anything. We will most definitely be back!

Joe and Dave have done a stellar job with Basin since they bought The Fat Dog a few years ago. The drinks are well made, the food is tasty and the vibe is fun. All of the staff are so nice! When you treat the staff, who are hard working human beings, nicely, are friendly to them, and tip them well(for any establishment, not just here), they will always treat you well in return. It’s worth the visit and so wonderful to have this local gastro pub in our great town!

Decent selection of beers, friendly bartenders. Awesome spot if you like sitting at a long bar. Not so awesome if you like anything else other than sitting at a long bar. Seriously, that’s all there is here: one long bar with stools. My gripe? The nachos. If you walk in and see a giant bar and Sunday Night Football on several giant screens, you should be able to expect great nachos. That’s like a rule that most of you readers probably didn’t even realize is true until you read it just now. You’re welcome. Mediocre nachos? That’s bad. Being served mediocre nachos in a cast iron skillet? Okay, maybe that’s okay. Being served mediocre nachos in a cast iron skillet that the server is holding with his bare hands? That’s amazing. Being served mediocre nachos in a cast iron skillet that the server was holding with his bare hands, BUT finding out that the skillet was completely ornamental and not used to cook the nachos at all? Blasphemous. Oh yeah: the nachos were mediocre.

I was looking for a spot to watch a football game on Sunday and the internet led me to Basin 141. The game I wanted wasn’t on, but one of the bartenders asked me as soon as I walked in, and happily set me up with the game I wanted — A+, super friendly, thank you. The full menu wasn’t available until after 2pm, but there were plenty of things to choose from. There were so many things I wanted to try, I ended up overeating by doubling down on lunches. I had the pork belly tacos & the breakfast burger. The tacos were more artisan than traditional. with a corn salsa, pickled vegetables, and hot peppers. They were served with thick chips, salsa and radish. It all tied together well and I should probably have stopped there, but the breakfast burger sounded awesome — so I ordered again. The burger was huge and an explosion of flavorful deliciousness. It’s black angus beef. topped with fried egg, applewood smoked bacon, havarti, roasted tomatoes, arugula, grilled onions. There was a spring mix salad on the side which was a refreshing change from the usual burger companion, fries. There are enough things on the brunch menu alone to assure that I will be making return trips to Basin 141.

I love the crowd here! First impression more upscale bar. It was a crowded Saturday. The beer selection is great, I had the old Rasputin and allagash tripel! The fries were nice and crispy. The bartenders were attentive and informative over their seasonal beer. I will definitely be coming back.

The wedge salad starter was perfect. Really good fish & chips yet, the tarter sauce could be better. So called«music», being played so LOUD you can’t hardly hear each other while sitting next to each other, even with raised voices. My dad says the coffee sucks(pressed coffee not regular filtered). If you enjoy LOUD& noisy bars with food this your place. Next visit, I’m getting it to go.

I’ve come here a few times with friends and every time had a great experience. My favorites are the truffle Mac and cheese, the burger, chips and guacamole, and nachos! It’s a very chill atmosphere with great food and drinks(Moscow mule)! Definitely a go-to spot in montrose!

I recently had the opportunity to check out several items off Basin 141’s menu and they did not disappoint! Everything was awesome from the crisp pork belly nachos to the carnitas tacos with grilled pineapple salsa. A few of the other samplings I had were the potato tacos, fish tacos, sausage sampler platter, savory pepper sauce chicken wings, and to cap it off, a chocolate bread pudding with house made chocolate sauce topped with vanilla ice cream! It was madness! And of course, to help wash it all down, the beer flight was perfect! I’m from the Southbay and the trip to Basin 141 was well worth it. I’ll be back!

«FOODIEADVENTURE» written all over this place! You walk in the an awesome atmosphere and patrons having a great time eating and watching the Dodgers. The amazing aroma of freshly made Pork Belly Nachos, Potato tacos,(my personal favorite), and Carnitas tacos hits you as it is delivered to your table. Overwhelmed when the fish tacos, «K-Town» wings and a mouthwatering meatloaf,($ 12 meatloaf Monday’s), fills the table. Washing it all down with a beer flight from local breweries and finishing it off with a luscious piece of chocolate bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. Couldn’t think of a better way to spend a Tuesday evening. Great food, great vibe and awesome company.

What a gem in the middle of Montrose! PARKING: Street FOOD: –Angeleno eggs benny: really interesting take on eggs benedict. skirt steak served over corn bread with a runny egg to top it off! make sure you cut against the grain on your skirt steak, or else you’ll be chewing for a while. great flavor combinations. my only complaint would be that the cornbread didn’t hold up very well against the weight of the steak and the eggs. SERVICE: our waitress was really friendly. we came super early and were the first ones in the bar, but it filled up eventually. it took a bit of time from ordering to food at our table, but we were first at the bar — i assume it was just a slow start. i’d definitely come back again for brunch!
