Very good food and the prices are reasonable. The carne asada was the best! They have a buffet on Sunday’s. The service was good too. I would stop here again when if I came aback to this area.

Had dinner here and we were very disappointed. I ordered the Chili Relleno combo. It was the worst chili relleno I have ever had. A chili relleno is supposed to be dipped in egg and then cooked. This one was a cooked egg wrapped around the smallest chili ever! I thought it was wrapped in a flour tortilla. It just didn’t taste right. Not good at all! I will say that the salsa was good. For a place that tries to be authentic, by speaking in Spanish, it needs to learn how to cook authentically.

Loved their salsa, it had a deep heat that caught at the back of your throat. We had a late lunch of tosadas and flautas. The flautas were tough and hards to cut but the chicken inside was plain. Beans and rice were typical of most Mexican restaurants and tasty. The service was very good, we were checked several times for refills and such.

Average Mexican food at best. Guacamole seemed store bought. Taco salad for my guest was marginal. Will not be back.

Very pleased with the service my family of 8 received here. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food is good authentic mexican fare. Portions are filling even for my son. We’ll certainly be coming back.

Good quality Mexican food and friendly service. Check your bill before paying – ours has been wrong twice in a row.

really fresh-tasting Mexican! Awesome place to stop for dinner before grocery shopping. I had the fajita quesadilla — portions are huge, the chicken tasted really fresh, great salsa and chips. Yum.

I set up a reservation for me and 10 family members, so I knew from the get-go we were asking a lot of Fiesta Guadalajara. I called to say our group was going to be late by 10 minutes(it was a fiasco trying to get all 11 of us to the theatre to see Les Mis, and then to get us to the restaurant in 10 minutes after the show let out? forget it!), and the hostess who answered the phone was super polite, upbeat and said it would not be a problem. We were seated quickly, drinks were prompt, and orders were taken. I really enjoyed the carne asada dinner I ordered… and I think my grandpa wished he had ordered the same thing! The steak was perfectly(thinly) sliced. As always, I grade mexican restaurants on three items: the beans, rice and tortillas… the only room for improvement is the tortillas. But for the area, I think this is the type of tortillas the locals are used to. I will have to say I am a bit biased coming from Texas, and generally growing up with excellent tortillas in my life. The tortillas here are just a bit too rubbery for my tastes… but since everything else was so good, and based on its proximity away from mexico, I decided to maintain a 5-star rating for Fiesta Guadalajara. The portion sizes here were fantastic— you would be hard-pressed to get this much food(and on such large and beautiful plates) anywhere else for the price! All of the food was served at nearly the same time(for a table of 11, that is huge!). Staff was very friendly and attentive. Even when my family was fighting over who is going to pay the bill, they were very accomodating! This is an EXCELLENT place for large-group dinners. They were able to comfortably fit two or three large groups in the restaurant at the same time as our large group. Parking did not seem to be too much of an issue.

We always go to El Jimador, but tonight we decided to mix it up, and boy do I feel educated. Montrose has more than its fair share of Mexican restaurants. It seems wrong to always return to the same one. We thought we’d try a different one. We are big fans of margaritas, so we started by ordering a couple. They brought one for me but forgot the other one, and in hindsight that was probably a kindness. It was like drinking kool-aid. My husband decided to try a mojito instead, and that was worse. He ordered a burrito, and I ordered a tostada. Both were too gross to finish. As an afterthought, he ordered a Dos Equis Amber on draft, and that ended up being the highlight of our meal. Our son’s chicken nuggets and fries were nearly inedible. I will not return, and I’m sorry I spent money there. The place has the ambiance of a school cafeteria. I wouldn’t have held that against it, but now I think maybe I should have seen it as a warning sign. Save your cash for somewhere else.

The new location is open! I was not overly keen on FG since the last few times I was there it was«meh» but we decided to try the new location tonight and, well, I don’t know if it’s the new décor, new equipment or a new chef, but the food was pretty damned good. Good enough I actually finished my dinner and now feel like a tick about to pop. Will I crave FG when I leave Montrose? Probably not. Will it serve as a decent Mexican place while I’m here? Yup.

Excellent chips and salsa and charro beans. My meat was not spectacular but good. Probably would have put 4 stars but i wanted to offset the 1 star rating… not sure what that is about. The wait staff was great. Oh and there was live mariachi.
