The BEST Counter Staff ever! The young ladies working when I stopped in, were the nicest! The ice cream is really good. I am spoiled by another local shop. This place would get 4.5 stars if I were able to do so!

Last year, when they were next to Cumbys? 5 stars. They move across Shore Rd. To what seems like a smaller place, it feels clumsy, crowded and there are less flavors. They opened in late July. Hello!?! Cape Cod? You missed half the summer ! I passed this business almost daily and there was zero activity in terms of setting it up in the new location until June. They have a perfect set up for order here-pick up there yet they aren’t doing that. We’ve lost our go-to ice cream parlour. Meh.

Cute little ice cream shop with a train that goes around the shop. They do not accept credit cards. The staff were not friendly — bordering on rude. The ice cream was really good and they had a good selection of sugar free for those that need it. They have lots of special offerings, sundaes and floats. Not a place I would go out of my way to but if passing by would probably stop again.

Have been going to the whistle stop every summer since I was very young and the ice cream is still the best I have had anywhere on the cape. Still go every weekend because its just that good. Oh and the trains and décor are still the same as they were 20 years ago.

My wife and I wait all year for Whistle Stop to open so I can sneak down while the kids are asleep and bring home couple of cones. It is always extremely fresh and the flavors are crisp and clean. The only knock on it is the somewhat dated décor.

Delicious ice cream! We stay at a family house in Navajo, so this place is a frequent stop. A small sundae is enough for me, but they can make huge special sundaes… we ordered a coal car once and it was so big that kids left their tables to come stare at our dessert! Small parking lot but we always find a space!

My boyfriends grandparents live right down the street from Whistle Stop Ice Cream Shop on Toby’s Island. We frequent this cute little place often after meals. The ice creams are all homemade by the family who owns the shop. Sometimes that means that the flavor you’ve been dying to come scoop up is not available. But, it’s great watching the workers make fresh waffle cones. And the toppings are always abundant and soo yummy!

The place is owned by a nice family and the ice cream is made fresh by hand. I personally love the chocolate chip cookie dough. Its so nice to walk in when they are making a fresh batch of waffle cones and the place smells fantastic. Friendly local high school students scoop your ice cream and the prices are reasonable for the great quality.

My first trip to Cape Cad this summer ended perfectly with an ice cream cone from Whistle Stop. The place had a neighborhood feel even though it was sort of dominated by the gas station attached to it. They had a good variety of flavors, and you could tell the place was a step above when you notice the mint ice cream isn’t killed by green food coloring. Another friend spent summers in the area and said many of the specials were around back when she was a kid. Nice to see that consistency from a local business.
