Love that we have this available in Moorpark. Yummy raspados and I don’t have to go all the way to the valley!

If I can give zero stars I would ! I not really one to be so negative about a place but let me give a brief explanation on my visit earlier. The cashier told me the wait was going to be 30 mins for 3 stuffed watermelons. I had no problem with that until he told me 15 mins later they didn’t have any more unless I upgraded to medium. Man was I upset so I upgrade both cancelling one and added a Bionico once I ordered that the cashier DIDNOT wash his hands and went to make my Bionico with his bare hands. I was like dude wtf !! U touching money all day and have some curiosity at least. He threw away my Bionico and made me a new one with gloves. Honestly this will be the last time I come here. Way to expensive and not even satisfying nor worth the wait. I could only say I warned u and just watch as the cashiers just take ur order and use there nasty sweaty hands after. just saying

I just didn’t care for raspado. My friend loves it so this place must be good, but I personally didn’t like anything. The service friendly and the place is clean. Prepare for a wait for your order though.

Best raspado experience on a hot summer day in moorpark! Walking by the bridge at my college I saw a flyer of this place and I thought it would be nice to give it another try. When this place first opened they had different owners. Honestly the service sucked, the thin girl in the cashier was super young and was not professional. She’d rather be texting than taking orders. And she was not friendly. It was as if she wanted all of us to leave and not come back. Anyhow, I never went back after having two horrible experiences. But after I heard they had sold this place, I began to hear many good reviews. And may I say they are correct ! This place is amazing ! The service is great, the people are do welcoming and the raspados are delicious ! I will not be going to the raspados out in the valley. This place is local and defiantly exceeded my expectations. If you are looking to refresh your self with a delicious authentic shaved ice, this is the place to go ! You will not be regret it. I will definitely be back !

Its nothing fancy but thats what I love about it! Its a little spot by Moorpark college, you wouldnt know about it unless someone told you about it, but its THE spot for Raspados any where in Ventura County! Ive been to a really popular one in the valley called Raspados Express and it was DISGUSTING! my chamango tasted like FISH! But this one in MP is fresh and delicious! I love getting a large chamango with tons of chamoy! Tostilocos and nacho cheese on hot cheetos! Talk about your modern mexican american snacks! Someone mentioned on here about the corn in a cup being compared to Corn chowder and knocking it… uhhmm its not a soup… Its a SNACK! Overall great spot for a yummy snack. I went last summer 2013 a handful of times and I cant wait to go back. FYI check their hrs online before you go, they are open more towards the early afternoon until about sunset. Ive never had a bad experience there and I think its awesome to see young owners starting out! Theres always room for improvement, but thts how it is any where you go and I think this place has all it needs! okay my mouth just watered!

I’ll give this place 2 Stars because it says on here that they open at 1pm. It is 1:07 and I believe that if you want to have a good business, punctuality is a must. Don’t get me wrong, this place has great Mangonadas but their work ethic needs to improve. There are now 3 people waiting for Raspado House to open. Smh.

I would have given them 2, but their service brought them down! Lets start with that… the girl in the front was not friendly, not smily, not polite. We asked about the sizes and she just pointed and said«theyre right there». Not one smile from her tbe whole time! Not sure who helped other Unilocalers that said service was friendly, but this girl(blonde hair with black under layer, and tattoos) was not friendly! Ok, raspados: watered down! Had a chamango and a nuez one… both were flavorless and mostly just ice… as someone who has tried raspados in the valley(raspados express), i can tell you these are NOT good!

Had a hard time finding the place but it’s northbound off the Princeton exit, first shopping plaza on the left. It was kinda empty and got served by a tattooed Hispanic gentlemen wearing shorts and a tank top which made me a lil uncomfortable. Ordered a large watermelon respado and was simple a shaved ice with watermelon syrup. After visiting a respado xpress where it’s the syrup with fresh cut fruit in the valley I would definitely prefer getting my respados from out there instead of this place.

Ok peeps… One of my friends posted a pic of one their raspados, it’s looked amazing. So i began to investigate this place. They got Bionicos, strawberries & cream, something similar to the dorritos preparados that I would get in Zacatecas, Zac. and what sold me was the typical mexican corn(with cream/mayo, cheese, butter, lime & chili) in a CUP!!! That again takes me back to Zacatecas… So this trip I decided on the go with«Esquite» aka Mexi corn in a cup! At first glance amazing, then i mixed it around kinda messy but still good… then after eating maybe a fourth of the way down… BAM!!! Corn broth! They don’t drain the corn. needless to say that is was what made up the rest of the cup. They don’t layer the toppings either!!! So it ended up being corn soup? I was pretty disappointed. I’ll go again but specify to drain the corn and layer the toppings…

I was little skeptical about this place at first, but I thought I’d give it a try. I had the Chamango and it was delicious. It reminded me of the mangos people sell on the streets with lucas on it. It was interesting at first to have a sweet-salty-spicy beverage but overall it was good. It thought it was also unique of them to include the spicy candy straw; it was very tasty. I do recommend them to add more decoration for visual aesthetics and to have the cashier be more out-giong.

I’m Dying. It’s Sooooooo Hottttt!!! OoOooO The Raspado House. It wasn’t there the last time I was in the area. Let’s check it out! Raspado is Authentic Mexican Shaved Ice. The Raspado House is the place for that. They have all kinds of flavors to choose from and you can choose as many flavors as you like. They just opened in June and it’s been a Hit since! The place is a hole in the wall but easy to find right off of the Princeton Ave Exit from the 118Fwy in Moorpark. Let’s get flavor happy! Flavors = Cajeta, Chocolate, Coco, Fresa, Groseya, Gunabana, Guayaba, Limon, Mango, Nuez, Pina, Rompope, Tamarindo, Vanilla, Blue Rasberry, Bubblegum, Cherry, Strawberry, Grape, Jay MIx, Orange Delight, Pink Lemonade, Sour Apple, Tigers Blood, Tropical Fruit Punch, Watermelon. Sizes = Small $ 2.50, Medium 3.25, and Large $ 4.00 For $ 4.50, you can get the House Specials which is a little larger than the large house flavor size. House specials Include = Chamango, Chamarindo, Champina, Monjita, Bionicos, Pico de Gallo and Fresas on Crema. Got a large house flavor that I shared with my little nephew the first time. I chose mango and he chose the other 3 flavors — Tigers blood, Bubble Gum, Strawberry. The Mango flavor that I chose was on the bottom with real yummy sweet mango chunks. Despite the mix up of flavors, it was really good! Was able to distinguish each flavor. The 2nd time, got their House Special Chamango. What makes it special? It’s shaved ice with chamoy, tamarind, mango, a hint of chilli powder, and lime. It had a real tangy, sweet & mild spicy taste. Bought it for myself but my sister noticing me enjoying my yummy raspado, couldn’t help trying mines out and help me finishing it! We killed it! The people that works here are extremely helpful. They gladly explained the flavors I didn’t understand. Even though they were kind of busy, they were fast to make my shaved ice & had it ready for me in a jiffy. The Raspado House saved me from the blistering heat on a HOT Summer day and made me feel«COOL» again in an instant.

This new raspado«shaved ice» spot opened up in June, and has been pretty busy since. We have gone three times and each time we have not been disappointed. Among the array of flavors my party has gotten are: Chamarindo, Chamango, Tamarindo, Coconut, and Chocolate. The Chamarindo and Chamango are two of their specialities. In reality, they are flavored with chamoy and if you ask for more spiciness they will add chile. It also comes with a straw filled with even more chile goodness, and a saladito. Their flavors are pretty vast, filled with real chunks of fruit, and have sizes ranging from Small to Large. All in all it’s a really great place for a hot summer day. I do have two complaints(if that’s what you would call it). One is the price — A large cost 4 – 4.50 and for me, that sounds a bit expensive for raspados. The other complaint is for their speciality drinks they only come in one size which costs 4.50.
