ASSOCIATIONCOMMUNICATIONS, INC also known as ACI manages our condo association called Liquid Sugar HOA. I have been progressively impressed by the management. They managed an extensive construction problem for water intrusion and mold, with a good outcome and money to spare. This is a major plus, as a nearby condo complex ended up owing money for a contractor related problem. So our association fees were reduced, a lot. Then, occasionally I miss a monthly payment or run late, and the communication is official but respectful. I appreciate the accessibility to accounting. Over the past few years I have noticed increasingly faster email response, and increasingly friendly response, all suggesting a total quality management approach. Finally, I get multilevel communication about fire inspection or other compliance and repair issues, including a newsletter and email alerts.

I have lived in a community these people manage for 2 years. They have shut off my water 14 time without notice. Sometime for 3+ days. I woke up to no water this morning, so called them and asked what was going on. She said there was some planned maintenance going on. I asked if it’s planned, why can’t they give proper notice. She replied, «We did. There has been a message on the hot-line since yesterday.» So evidently, I am supposed to call some number everyday to check if I am going to have water. By the way, I’ve never been given this number, and I’ve searched my HOA website, as well as the property management website, and I can’t find it. Here’s a crazy idea. How about taping a note to my door, like every other place I’ve ever lived in my entire life does 24hrs before they are going to shut off your water. That way tenants could make other arrangements, and not call you all pissed off and give you 1 star on Unilocal because they can’t take a shower before work, or get their kids ready for school. Have some common courtesy.
