I have been going to this place for 30 years it is absolutely the best ice cream/chili cheese coney, burger place around. Family owned. Try their pinky burgers they are wonderful! Next chili cheese coney are the best in town! The smell of the food cooking spreads for miles. They also I have s cute little diner to sit in if you prefer inside

Last night, we tried the coconut and heath bar swirls. Swirls are similar to DQ’s blizzards. I say similar because swirls ice cream was more thick and rich than that of a DQ blizzard. I thought that both swirls were very good. I will definitely be going back DDD and to DQ a bit less methinks.

Being a resident of Moraine, I’ve grown up with this local stand my entire life. When you grow up with something, you never know how good it is until you get to experience similar items in other places. Now that I’m in college and have traveled throughout much of the US, the ice cream served here is still on the top of my list.
The ice cream is much thicker and creamier than a lot of other soft serves and has a very subtle, yet unique flavor to it.
If you get ice cream, just get the ice cream!!! The types of sauces (choc, pb, caramel, etc.) are very generic in their taste. The only exception I would say is a hard chocolate shell on a vanilla ice cream cone.
Overall I highly recommend this ice cream. It is much different than what you receive at chains such as DQ.

I guess you gotta leave it to an out-of-towner to write the first review. If you have not been then you don’t know what you’re missing. A classic walk-up ice cream shop with excellent (and rich) ice cream. I fell in love with this place back in 2000 when my brother moved to Dayton and crave it every time I’m in town. It’s maybe a slight notch below Young’s but if you don’t have time to make it out there this local ice cream shop is the place to go!
